“Hey the mutt face what are you trying to do get my woman killed?” yelled a very angry wolf youkai. “Inuyasha! I’m so sorry!” yelled a young miko pushing away from the wolf youkai into the arms are her husband who tried to comfort her. “What? Kagome why worry about him when he almost hurt you?” said the wolf youkai but to no avail Kagome still cried in his arms. “Koga” said Inu “would you please not further upset her.” now Koga was taken aback Inu wasn’t yelling at him or insulting him, he was barley paying attention to him. Inu was more concerned that his mate and pup were alright. “Hey mutt, didn’t I tell you to keep off my women.” Koga snarled. Inu looked up from his mate at the wolf in front of him. He picked Kagome up bridle style and set her next to the tree “Kagome I promise I will not fight him but I am going to make him stop.” Kagome looked at her mate he seemed calm Kagome realized that he didn’t want to scare or worry her anymore so she shook her head and Inu went to Koga.

“Koga I really do not care to fight a pointless battle.” Inu stated. “What do you mean by that?” “Look I’m going to say this one last time so listen well you mangy excuse for a wolf, Kagome is not yours she is mine and I am her’s.” Inu put up a hand to silence Koga “You have a good nose, not as good as mine, but still use it!” Koga huffed then started to smell the air around them. It took him all of 20 second to believe his nose. He could not smell Kagome even thou she was only about 15 feet away. “Kagome you didn’t?! Did you?! It cant be! I can’t smell you!” Koga half yelled. “Inu what’s he talking about?” “Koga along with every other demon can no longer smell your scent it’s covered up now that you bare my MATING mark.” Inu said calm making sure Koga heard him say mating. Koga was shock to say the least, then he started laughing. Kagome walked up to stand next to Inu as they looked at Koga confused. “Hahahaha! Well until she’s pregnant I still have a chance of claiming her, or did you forget half-breed?” “Why you mangy wolf!” “Lets go Kagome I can forgive you for this after all you must have been so sad when I couldn’t come for you right away.” Inu was about to draw his sword when the both heard Kagome.

She was saying something so quietly neither could hear her. “Kagome?” they said in unison. “Stop it, just stop!” She half yelled. “Both of you are suck BAKA’S! Inuyasha you should not get so mad at him.“ At hearing this Koga started to laugh again till Kagome glared at him “And you Koga. You need to forget about me. I’m with Inuyasha now and forever. Can you forget about me?” Kagome looked at his eyes so sad. “No Kagome I can’t.” Kagome about to say something was stopped by Inu. He and Koga were staring at each other and seem to come to a understanding because Inu went to stand by the tree. “Kagome I will never forget about you. I guess Ayame gets her wish I remember the promise I made her I said I didn’t because I wanted you. I will fulfill her wish, but I hope you know I’m going to come visit you. I’ll bring Ayame along, I think she would like to be your friend.” with a smile and a kiss to Kagome’s hand Koga was gone.

Later as Inu was sitting with Kagome watching the sun rise she asked him what had been bugging her all night. “Inu what did Koga mean by ‘until she’s pregnant I still have a chance of claiming her’?” “It’s a youkai law until a female is pregnant she can still change mates.” “So Koga wanted me to switch mates?” “Yep, but as of two weeks ago that’s no longer possible.” Kagome was confused at this statement but Inu continued with out realizing he was. “That mangy couldn’t even remember the smell doesn’t change completely till after a female conceives.” “WHAT I’m…I’m Pregnant?” now realizing what he said Inu looks into Kagome’s eyes and smile’s “Yes, you are gonna bear my pup. that’s going to be your mom surprise.” Kagome smiled and kissed Inu for a while they stayed that way till Inu saw he mate falling asleep. He picked her up and carried her to their home. As the house came into sight Inu thought to him self ‘I have a home now. I have a family and strangely enough it consists of a slayer, a monk, a cat demon, a kitsune, and a old miko and the girl that brought it all together. The girl that changes destiny.’

9 months later

“I wonder if it’s happened yet.” said Inu nervously moving his knee. “Calm down Inuyasha. Sango, Keade, and Ayame are all in there helping Lady Kagome.” Said Miroku. Inu had been so nervous this morning when Kagome had gone into labor, he was relieved that all there friends had come about two weeks ago, except the girl who came about 6 months ago to help Kagome and Inu (let’s face it Inuyasha knows nothing about pregnancy). “by the way why are you still here Sesshomaru?” “Rin” was the only thing he said. Before Inu or anyone could say more the women exited Kaede’s hut. “Is Kagome ok? The pup?” Inu asked before anyone else could even look towards the hut. Before he got an answer he was in the hut.
“Impatient as always.” Miroku signed as he walked to Sango. It didn’t take long for the men to notice the women weren’t talking, instead they had their heads down. “what happen? Is…did…hell are they ok?!” Koga half yelled. “Sango?” Miroku asked. “Talk now.” Sesshomaru commanded. “is lady Kagome ok?” ask Rin innocently. “Well I don’t know how Inuyasha or Kagome are going to handle it. I mean…” Sango trailed off. “Yea I can’t imagine having to deal with…” Ayame too trailed off. As the men and Rin started to get very sad Sango, Ayame and Keade started laughing. “??????” “Twins…how can Inuyasha handle two!” Sango managed to say. They all laughed there was even a smirk on Sesshomaru’s face. They all walked in each become confused when Kagome was crying into Inu’s arms. That is when they saw the journal Kagome’s father had left for her. Koga, Ayame and Sesshomaru had been told when they came for the birth. They were about to leave till Kagome told them to stay. “You must all see this. Yet I wonder if he knew?”

A/N: The next chapter ‘Did He Know?’ will be the end, but isn’t the end just the beginning? Next chapter might be sad, but pain and happiness can not be without the other. Right? .^_^. What fallows her tears can you guess?
