Chapter Seven

Kagome laughed as Shippo made jokes and helped her with her homework. She had been in the house now for 3 days and she already felt very comfortable there. She had been sleeping in Sesshoumaru�s room every night, but he had not tried to have sex with her again since that first time. She could only assume that either he didn�t enjoy it or that he only wanted it as a one time deal. The only problem she was having believing either one of those assumptions was that he still hugged her, wanted kisses from her, cuddled with her on the couch during movies, and then of course always showed her to his room at the end of the night where he continued to cuddle up next to her.
She sighed. It was getting a little much for her; she just didn�t know what he wanted. He wasn�t making any moves beyond hugging, kissing, and cuddling. The soreness between her legs was non existent now and for that she was glad. She looked over to where he was marking his papers; if only she could know what he was thinking. She snapped out of her thoughts when she felt a hand on her shoulder, turning her head, she looked at her now much older son.
Shippo smiled �well I�m heading off to bed; I�ll see you in the morning�
Kagome smiled and nodded �okay, night Shippo�
He made his way out of the kitchen, pausing to glance at her �night mom�
Kagome watched her older than her son leave and nearly jumped when she felt a pair of hands rest on her shoulders �you are tense� his voice spoke.
�I wonder why� she turned her head to glare at him before looking away with a sigh as he started to massage her shoulders � I�ve just been busy with school and playing catch up with all those assignments�
�You still not caught up?� he asked.
�Almost, just a bit more to go� she replied.
He gave a small pat on her shoulders �come, let us retire for the night�
Kagome gave a nod and followed him upstairs to his room. When they got there; she gasped as she was suddenly pushed against the door, forcing it closed. As that happened his mouth descended on to hers with all it was worth. She couldn�t help, but moan into the kiss. This kiss was more passionate then the others had been, it felt like, that time.
Suddenly, Sesshoumaru pulled away and started to lead her �come to bed�
Kagome followed with a curious stare, he was acting strange. Once they were sitting on the bed, she could see he was tense as well �your muscles are tense�
He smirked �it has been a long day�for both of us�
She gave a nod �I suppose it has�
Sesshoumaru leaned over and suckled on her neck for a moment before making her gently lean back to lie on the bed �I can think of a way to relieve the stress of the day�
Her eyes widened as she took in his meaning �I don�t know about this, Sesshoumaru� she said quietly. She was unsure of how to deal with this sudden turn or even sure if she wanted it.
Gently he leaned over so some of his weight was on her to prevent her from sitting up. He slowly stroked her skin, enjoying when she got goosebumps �why do you hesitate?�
�You haven�t shown interest in wanting to do �that� again. I didn�t think you�d ever want to do it again� she replied, honestly.
He moved himself so he was directly over her to stare down at her �on the contrary I was merely giving you time to heal after our first time together and to gather your thoughts about what had happened� he admitted �I realized how upset you were and figured I wouldn�t ask intimacy from you again until you looked like you were ready� he leaned closer to her and breathed in her scent before kissing her neck �your sent of arousal has been driving me mad all day woman�
Kagome blushed, true, she had been thinking about this very topic all day long. She had felt herself warm at the idea of being with him again, but there was something she had to know �Sesshoumaru before we go any further, I have to know one thing�
He paused in his ministrations �what do you wish to know?�
She moved to sit up and he allowed it. She then looked at him with a serious stare �what do you want from me? Do you want me because you think I�ll just let you use me or do you want me because of a different reason?�
The taiyoukai looked at her seriously with that serious look in his eyes he used to have back in the feudal era. Those eyes that spoke truth �I will not lie to you� he spoke with seriousness that she remembered so well from back then, his arm stroking her �it is not my intention to use you Kagome, I would never stoop so low as to use a woman for my own pleasures� he gave a tiny smile �if I am to be with a woman it is because I want to be with her. I gave you time to recover, knowing how painful a woman�s first time can be. If I had my choice I would have taken you at least 3 more times that first day as well as everyday since�
Kagome gasp at his confession before she frowned �how is this going to affect us at school?�
Sesshoumaru leaned down and resumed kissing her neck, causing her to lean back into the bed �it won�t, we will act the same way we have been acting� he moved then to kiss her lips to silent anymore questions. He removed her clothes as quickly as he could while he then removed his shirt. He smirked against her neck when he felt her trying to undo his belt. Giving her a minute, he finally decided to help her, and then removed his pants. He watched her as he allowed her time to explore him. He could smell how nervous she was since she could actually reason this time what was going on. He nuzzled her neck for reassurance and a tiny groan escaped him when he felt her hand grab his hard staff. Touching it and eventually she began to stroke the ever growing hard member. He could actually feel himself panting as she was able to participate this time, and she was doing it willingly. Just the thought and feel of it was exhilarating, he growled louder, giving a quick nip to the neck he pushed up against her.
Kagome gasped as he pushed up against her, causing her to break her hold she had on his rather large member. She felt herself grow nervous as he parted her legs so he could rest between them. She tensed when she felt �it� rub against her. She heard his words to relax and then felt him trailing his hands down her sides. She quickly grasped his sides as he began sliding his �friend� into her.
The taiyoukai let out a breath he�d been holding once he was inside her. He gave her a moment. He knew the first few times hurt at the beginning, but afterwards it became easier to for the female to bare. He gave a low growl when he felt her shift under him and immediately he pulled nearly all the way out before giving quick thrust back in. When he heard her gasp, he did it again. Soon he was moving with quick short thrusts, he gave longer thrusts when he heard her cry out for him to go harder. He growled and buried his head into the crook of her neck as his thrusts got harder and faster. He eventually grabbed her hips so he could maintain control of the pace. Her cries got louder and his thrusting got faster. He was close and he quickened his pace causing her to dig her nails into his side. It was his undoing, feeling the nails in his side he growled loudly and gave a particular hard thrust causing her to reach her limit. His member swelled as he spilt his seed.
Both were breathing hard by the end of it covered in a light sweat. After a few moments Sesshoumaru felt himself calm down and was able to remove himself. He smirked when a tiny moan escaped her. Together they both curled up on the bed and fell asleep.

It wasn�t long before the fair was in town. Sesshoumaru walked into the living room where Kagome and Shippo were playing a video game. He smirked; since their second time together between the sheets, he�d been taking every chance he got to ravish her. He growled a little at the thought.
Shippo heard and turned around with a smirk �what�s up?�
The taiyoukai glared and growled at the cockiness of the kitsune, but ignored it �I have the tickets for the fair� he looked at Kagome �I suggest you call your brother, we�ll be there to pick him up around 2� he watched as she nodded before getting up to use the phone, he then glanced at the kid he�d raised �has it been done?�
Shippo gave a nervous chuckle �mine didn�t exactly go according to plan� he then gave a serious look �but it will be done one way or another� he watched his father figure nod before going to follow after Kagome. He laughed to himself knowing exactly what was on in that inu�s mind. Dogs are all the same no matter if they are normal or demon. They�re horny animals. He chuckled again knowing the taiyoukai was most likely going to try and talk his mother into going upstairs and hopefully get a quickie before they left. He sighed as he got off the couch to turn off the game before he started chuckling again. He felt sorry for his poor adoptive mother; she barely got a break from that horny dog.
Soon they were in the car, heading for the shrine. When they got there, Souta was outside waiting for them. Once he was in they headed off to the fair. Souta was really happy to see his sister; he hadn�t seen her in a week since she suddenly left. No really had told him what had happened just that she�d be staying with Sesshoumaru and Shippo for awhile. He glanced out the window; he knew deep down, it was their father�s fault she left. He did something and for that he would never forgive him. No one hurts his family and as far as he was concerned his father was not his father. His father did not raise him or help him with homework or take him to soccer practice. The only people who did that were his mother and grandfather, and Kagome when she was home even if she did complain about it. He smiled at the thought. Sure they fought like any siblings, but they also had a bond that not many could see. Because of that deal with the jewel possessed mask their bond had changed. That day they both realized that even if they didn�t get along, they would fight to protect each other. They grew closer that day.
Souta took a glance to the front seat where Sesshoumaru was driving. He could tell something was going on between him and his sister. He looked at Shippo, well, he would find out what was going on.
Once reaching the fair grounds they took a look around. Souta immediately pointed on a rollercoaster he wanted to go on. Shippo laughed as he saw Kagome pale at the thought of going on it, so he decided to help out �I�ll go with him� he offered �I can see you don�t want to go on these kinds of rides�
Kagome smiled at him gratefully �you got that right, I much prefer the calmer rides� listening to the screams she took a glance as the coaster did a loop �and ones that did not go upside down�
Sesshoumaru looked down at her �then we shall go find easier rides, I too, am not one for these upside rides� he looked at the kitsune �we�ll meet in 3hours by the entrance to the fair, understood�
Shippo gave a nod and smirked �understood, you two will go on the sissy rides and Souta and I will go on the fun rides� he looked at the boy �isn�t that right?�
Souta gave a nod �right!� he watched as Kagome and Sesshoumaru walked away before looking at the kitsune youkai �there�s something going on between my sister and Sesshoumaru isn�t there?�
Shippo�s head whipped to the boy so fast he thought he almost snapped his neck �what gave you that idea?�
Souta rolled his eyes �I�m not stupid, I can tell� he saw the man shift a little and they started walking, after a moment of silence, he asked �so how far have they gone?�
Shippo felt himself falter in his step before he whipped around with a shocked expression �dude, that�s your sister, why the hell would you ask something like that?�
He shrugged as he kept walking �I mean are they dating, is it serious, perhaps I should have phrased the question differently�
�Ya think?!� the kitsune exclaimed, but then calmed down �I�m not really allowed to talk about it�
Souta looked at him curiously �and why not?�
�There�s something we have to do and Kagome has been helping with out even knowing it� he answered �if she were to find out� he sighed �well it�s not like it matters now since technically it�s finished, but I�m not allowed to say anything. I believe Sesshoumaru may want an actual relationship with your sister and if she were to know what we�ve done, she may never forgive us, she may leave us�
They stood in the line for the ride and waited. Souta stared at the kitsune who was frowning, deep in thought now �what did you do? What wouldn�t she forgive?�
�I cannot say� he answered.
Souta looked at him seriously �when it concerns my sister, you better tell me, I promise I won�t tell her myself�
Shippo looked at the boy with concern. He could get into a lot of trouble if he were to tell, but the look in the boy�s eyes and him give a smirk with a nod �alright then� he then gave a stern look �but you can�t tell�
�Promise�
Meanwhile, Sesshoumaru and Kagome had made their way to the ferris wheel. Kagome was happy when she didn�t see a large line and they were seated in no time. She smiled as she snuck a glance at the taiyoukai as the ride started to move, �in case I forget later, thank you�
He looked at her before giving a smile �you are quite welcome� he said as he reached out his arm to pull her close to him. Both enjoyed the simple ride and soon they were stopped at the top as people were people let off and ones getting on. He felt her move closer into him and he looked down �what troubles you?�
She gave him a nervous laugh �I just remembered how high this ride is�
�Are you telling me, you are afraid of heights?� He questioned, when she nodded, he chuckled �if I was not witnessing it I would have a hard time believing in it. A girl who fought countless demons and was normally the first to stand up to a demon on her own�is afraid of heights?�
She shot him a glare �yea, well, that was fighting demons. I didn�t do that in the air� she gave a thoughtful look for a moment �though there was that one time when one of the thunder brothers had me on a cloud�of course it disappeared after I pushed him off of it� she sighed �I was pretty reckless back then, I could have fallen to my death, thank goodness I was able to use the one I pushed as a cushion for my fall�
He raised an eyebrow �I do find it strange on how you, who fought Naraku, could be afraid of heights�
�Keep mentioning it why don�t you� she retorted.
Sesshoumaru chuckled as he used his free hand to grasp her chin, tilting in towards him, he kissed her lips.
When they pulled a part, she smiled �who would have thought you could be romantic�
He kissed her lips again �looks can be very deceiving my dear�
The ride ended and they got off as they decided to go grab some food. Kagome noticed the way people looked at them and frowned a little. No doubt these people were wondering what a young girl and a male that was far older than she were doing together. She snapped from her thoughts when she felt a hand on her back and gave a shy smile at the taiyoukai as they waited in line to get a hot dog. Once they got them, they sat down, and she broken their silence �Sesshoumaru, I have to know�
He turned his head to look at her �know what?�
�What are we?� she asked, looking at him with a confused stare.
�We are two people enjoying a hot dog at a fair� he replied.
She shook her head �no, not that, you know what I mean�
He wrapped an arm around her and kissed her cheek �yes I know what you mean; you want to know what we are to each other, correct?� he saw her nod �we are a demon and a now ex-time traveling miko, we go out when we can, we have been together in the most intimate of ways, what would you like us to be?�
She thought about it �what can we be?� she looked up at him �I mean I�m 18 and in today�s world you�re like the equivalent of 40 who looks like he�s in his early 30s�, it wouldn�t look good to be together� when she looked away she felt his arms go around her �we shouldn�t have even slept together�
Sesshoumaru rested his elbows on the table and leaned closer to her �in today�s world why many don�t except it, it is happening all over the world� she looked up at him �young girls are being intimate with older males and you are at the age now that what you do is your choice. However, I will say this; I would like to continue what we have�
Her eyes widened. He just said he wanted to continue being with her. She gave him a confused look �just what is it we have?�
He kissed her lips �I believe we are nothing short of a couple, but it is up to you if you would like to be called boyfriend and girlfriend� he watched as a blush crossed her cheeks before she looked away, silent in thought �I have no problems with it, but if the idea of our age difference bothers you, we do not have to mention it to everyone� he leaned over to kiss her cheek �but we will be open about it after school is finished with�
Kagome relaxed at the thought before looking at him �I suppose I can handle that� she blushed a little more �I do like being with you�
He smirked �and I with you� he chuckled as he stood up �besides if we had been together back with Naraku there would still be a large age difference�
She laughed as she followed �I suppose when you put it that way your right�
He gave a nod before looking at his watch �we still have some time if you want to go on a few more rides or we can try the games�
�Let�s go on two more rides then we still have time to try the games if we want� she suggested.
When they met up to leave, Souta really didn�t seem in a hurry to go home. Shippo, seeing this, decided it would be fun if the boy stayed the night. The kitsune would drive him to school in the morning. Sesshoumaru pulled out his cell phone and gave it to Kagome to call and ask. She asked her mother who said it was fine before saying how she missed her daughter and hope she came home soon. She was told her dad had lightened up some, so it should be fine. Kagome agreed to think about it before hanging up and they all left.
At the house, Shippo showed Souta to a spare room they had before going downstairs. Going into the living room he saw the couple watching tv �well he�s down for the count�
Kagome looked over at him �I remember when you used to fall asleep pretty easy there to�
He chuckled �well your lap was a comfortable place to rest, even when you held me in your arms�
She smiled �makes me wish you were little again so I could hold you�
He laughed �well you can still hold me; I just can�t fit in your lap anymore�
Sesshoumaru growled and she looked at him �don�t tell me you�re jealous�
�I am no such thing� he replied
She giggled �you deny it, but you are�
Shippo gave a big stretch and a yawn �well I think I�m going to turn it, it�s been a long day, night you two�
�Night Shippo� she called out to him before going back to watching tv �I have to say it�s been a really great day�
Sesshoumaru reached out and pulled her on to his lap �I can think of a way to make the night great too�
She smiled out a sigh as he began to place kisses on her neck with the odd nip here and there �you can�t be serious, my brother is here tonight�
�It does not matter� he replied as he pushed her down into the couch �I want you, now�
She gasped as he placed some of his weight on her and she felt something hard hit her leg through his jeans, �you�ve had me every chance you�ve got; surely you can survive one night with out doing�that�
He chuckled, she was still shy at times when mentioning what they were doing, he resumed his attentions, his hands fondling her breasts �I cannot, I want you every minute I get�
Her hands went up to grasp his shoulders �but-�
He growled to silence her �enough, I want you, and will have you�
She gasped as he got a little rougher with her, she could tell he was extremely eager to have her �why, why do you want me so bad?�
He relaxed a little, pausing in his ministrations, and just stayed close to her �because I have always wanted you�
�W-what?� she asked, shocked.
He gave a sigh �when I first met you I thought of you as just another human, if strangely dressed, but then the way you kept defending Inuyasha�.I slowly grew to respect you. It�s why I stopped trying to kill you� he moved his head to rest between her breasts �I knew you loved the hanyou, but I still kept watch, I was there to protect you against Makotsu� he heard her gasp �I had been watching, I had come to think of you as a person of interest. I wanted to know about you, where you came from, who you were. I didn�t understand then why I felt ready to kill when I saw you were hurt either physically or emotionally�
�S-Sesshoumaru� she said nervously �what is it y-your trying to say?�
He held her a little tighter �it wasn�t until after you left that I realized I had come to have feelings for you, strong feelings�
�What kind of feelings?� she asked, she wasn�t sure if she wanted to know, she wasn�t sure if she wanted to hear this.
He was silent a moment as he held her close to him �I fell in love with you�
Her eyes widened and she pushed him gently. He seemed reluctant to move away so she used a little more pressure so she could look at him �you what?� she asked unbelievably.
He looked at her with that stare that said he was serious �I fell in love with you�
�Sesshoumaru� she said, concerned �how can we work?�
�I admit it won�t be easy� he replied �but it can work, we just have to ignore what everyone else says�
�But you�re like one of the riches men in the world� she got him to sit up as she sat up �what would everyone think if they were to learn that you were going out with a girl �half� your age?�
He wrapped his arms around her �when you�re rich, they don�t really care, especially since you are 18 and a consenting adult now. They can say nothing�
�Except for what is wrong with me to be dating an older man� she reasoned �that I must be after him for his money�
�But we will know the truth� he retorted �that is all that will matter, let others think what they want just as long as we know�
She gave a nod of understanding �mama was wondering when I was coming home�
The taiyoukai looked at her �I assume it will be soon� at her nod, he gave a deep sigh �will you resume to ignoring us?�
�No� she said as she looked at him before fidgeting nervously with her hands �I miss being around you guys, I�m really happy when I�m here�
He leaned in and kissed her cheek �I�m happy with you here�
�But I do need to be home or else my dad will think something is going on� she mentioned �so far he just thinks I�m upset about that day and am staying over at a friends for a bit. If he learns I�m staying here��
Sesshoumaru growled at the thought �he touches you again like he did and he is going to be missing a limb� bringing her to her feet he started to escort her to the bedroom �let us go to bed, there is school tomorrow� he pulled her close to him, letting her feel him �and I still want you before we sleep tonight�
The next morning Shippo and Souta were the first ones downstairs so the kitsune offered to make breakfast. As the food finished Kagome and Sesshoumaru made their way into the kitchen. Souta smiled at his sister as he stuck a fork into his blueberry pancake �hey Sesshoumaru thanks for taking picking me up and taking me to the fair. I had a lot of fun�
The taiyoukai inclined his head �it was my pleasure�
�Hurry and finish eating� said Shippo �so I can take you to school�
The boy gave a nod as he quickly finished and then followed the kitsune out the door with a quick wave to his sister. Sesshoumaru watched before turning to look at her as she ate the toast she made �we should be leaving soon ourselves�
She looked at him as she finished her last bite �I�m ready� she moved to grab her book bag, but was stopped. She glanced up to see a strange familiar look in his eyes, one she had come to realize when he wanted something�.her �not now Sesshoumaru, we have to go to school�
He quickly picked her up and placed her on the counter �I find you irresistible in that uniform� he immediately attacked her neck as his hands went under her skirt and slid off her underwear.
�Sesshoumaru, we can�t we�ll be late� she rationalized �then they�ll know something is up if we�re both late�
�We won�t be� he stated, his voice gruff as he quickly freed his erection. He moved her so she was at the edge of the counter before swiftly entering her, causing her to cry out.
�That hurt!� she yelled while hitting his shoulder �I�ve told you before, your big and putting it in that fast hurts!�
He nuzzled the side of her neck �I also know that you seem to like it a little rough� and quickly started thrusting into her has hard and as fast as he could. He suckled the side of her neck as he got better access when her head went back and her hands gripped his shoulder. He used his hands to grab her legs as he gave a particular hard thrust making her cry out again. Picking her up, he quickly moved to the fridge and resumed his pounding into her as hard as he could. She was holding him like a life line, her head resting on his shoulders as he never once slowed down. What felt like forever was only a few short minutes as she felt her self getting closer �I-I�m close�
He growled and his pace moved to quick hard thrusts and in no time he felt her walls tighten around him causing him to be brought to his release as well. They stood for a few minutes. Kagome had come to notice that he never seemed to be in a hurry to back away. In fact she could swear he got even bigger near the end every time, but before she could analyze he would pull out. Speaking of which, she groaned as he pulled out and gently set her on the ground. She glanced at him as he passed her the panties he took. She didn�t fully understand it, but sometimes he would suddenly be all over her no matter what the reason and would only calm down after they had sex. She had wanted to ask him what it was all about, but she was just too shy to ask him about it.
After he�d straightened himself out, he looked at her �let�s go or we�ll be late�
She shot him a glare as she followed him out �I told you that would happen, but you wouldn�t accept no for an answer!�
He turned his head with a smirk as he looked at her blue uniform �as I said you were irresistible in that uniform� he chuckled when he saw her blush �I much prefer you in the blue then I did that green one you used to go running around back then in�
She blushed, but kept her mouth shut. When they got to school, the taiyoukai gave her a quick kiss, and then they both went to class. At lunch Kagome spent time with her friends including Hojo and they talked about old times and also what had been going on in their lives while she had been away. Before they knew it the bell had gone and it was time for class again. Kagome spent her class time thinking on what she was going to do about her �living� situation. She had to go home and soon, but Sesshoumaru didn�t seem to willing to let her go for long.
When school ended, Kagome met Sesshoumaru by the hummer and explained. She had decided she would go home so �he� thought nothing was up. While the taiyoukai glared and growled his obvious disapproval of the idea, he understood. He offered to drive her home, which she agreed. As she went to get in she heard someone call her and turned around.
Running up to them was a man maybe in his early 30s� and he had black hair in a pony tail and blue eyes. He wore a business suit, but that didn�t stop Kagome from recognizing who it was, with a quick shout �Kouga!� she was off running to greet him.
Kouga quickly scooped her up in his arms and spun her around before setting her down on the ground and took a step back �hey Kagome, sorry I�m late, I wanted to see you sooner, but my trip took a little longer than planned�
�It�s so good to see you!� she said cheerfully, her eyes bright with excitement at seeing him again.
He grinned �I never thought I�d see you again, when Inuyasha told me you were from the future�I just couldn�t believe it, but here you are!� he laughed �who would have guessed� he looked up as he saw the taiyoukai walking up behind the girl �the next time a business trip is being done over seas, either you go yourself or get someone else�
Sesshoumaru smirked �did you not enjoy the trip?�
Kouga chuckled �as I said, next time you or someone else� he gave a nice stretch �but sure is good to be back home�
�It�s really good to see you Kouga� said Kagome
He nodded �you too� he quickly looked at his watch �well I have to go, I have to go meet Ayame and the kids for dinner� he looked at her again �I just knew school was getting out and I wanted to see you first, next time though Ayame will be with me�
She smiled �it will be great to see her again too�
He gave a nod as he turned to leave �till next time then� he waved.
Kagome turned around to look at the taiyoukai �well I wasn�t expecting that�
�Neither was I� he replied �I thought his plane didn�t get in until tomorrow�
Both got into the hummer and began to drive to her place. Kagome looked at him �since you�re here doing the school thing, how is it you find time to run such a large company?�
�I�m not doing all the work� he answered �as I said, when I�ve had my fill Shippo will take over, he is already working underneath me and I leave him some of the responsibility�
�Oh� she replied �I thought he wasn�t doing anything right now�
�I�ve given him menial jobs while in was in college, since he�s graduated I�m now letting him handle more important documents� he stopped at the light �as I see it, if he couldn�t handle the menial jobs I gave him, then I was going to hand my company over to Kouga�
Kagome gasped and looked at him as he started driving again �are you serious?�
�Indeed, I can trust the wolf� he commented �but enough talk about that we need to talk about how we are to see each other if you are going to be living back at the shrine�
She gave a nod. That morning he had spoken with her before breakfast when she had mention that she was going to have to go back to the shrine eventually. The taiyoukai hadn�t liked the idea of her going back, but understood. They had decided to give the relationship stage a try, much to the persuasion of the tall demon sitting next to her, and they were going to see how it went. Sesshoumaru understood that meant he wasn�t going to have the freedom anymore to take her when he felt like it, but that didn�t mean he wanted to stop either.
Seeing she was in thought, he interrupted them �you will stay with me on the weekends�
Breaking her thoughts, she looked at him in surprise �w-what?�
�During the week� he started �you will be at the shrine and on the weekends you will come stay with me�
�B-But what about �him�?� she panicked �if he knows-�
�It is not �his� concern what you do� he glared out the window �you are 18 and a consenting adult, he is just a man who left long ago and has lost any rights to what you do in your life� he growled �should he do anything to harm you or your family, he will be sorry�
She gave a nod �but mama did say he�s lightened up since I took off, so maybe it won�t be so bad�
�We shall see� he said �either way you will be at my place on the weekends�
Knowing there was no way out of it, she agreed. When they reached the bottom of the shrine stairs, she turned to look at him �well do you want to stay for supper?�
He smirked at her �do you want me to stay for supper?�
�I�m asking aren�t I?� she snapped, she was starting to hate that smirk.
He gave a nod �very well, I shall come in then�
When both walked into the house they were greeted by Aksumi, who quickly gave her daughter a hug. Turning she smiled at the taiyoukai and thanked him for all his help, plus she invited him for dinner before Kagome could mention she�d already done it. He gave a small chuckle and agreed. As they walked into the living room they saw her father sitting there. He looked at them before glancing at Sesshoumaru and then back at Kagome.
�Welcome back�
�Thank you� she responded as she caught him glancing at the taiyoukai again �uum�dad�this is Sesshoumaru Taisho, my history teacher and also my friend Shippo�s father, Sesshoumaru this is my dad�
Sesshoumaru gave a slight nod of his head, his face and voice sounding just like the old days �nice to actually get to meet you Mr. Higurashi, I wouldn�t even call the last time we saw each other a meeting�
Her dad nodded �I wouldn�t either� he looked at his daughter and shot her a glare �have you no respect? You call him Mr. Taisho, you do not call him by his first name it is rude�
Sesshoumaru placed his arms on Kagome�s shoulders to stop her from backing away �forgive me, sir, but I believe that is my choice to make. I have given Kagome permission to use my first name outside of school since we�ve known each other for so long�
�I see� he replied �and just how do you know my daughter?�
Just then jii-chan came into the room, his face serious �it�s none of your business how they know each other, if you had been around instead of leaving, you would know the story behind these two and accept it like everyone else here�
�I�m just curious as to why a teacher is hanging around a high school student� he spoke calmly.
Jii-chan looked back at the two �Kagome take your things upstairs to your room, Sesshoumaru if you would be so kind as to accompany her�
Sesshoumaru gave a nod �of course� leading the nervous girl upstairs. When they got to her room he made her sit on the bed and then went and locked the door. Taking a moment to see her nervous form he quickly scooped her up into his arms and held her close �I already get the sense it is not going to work�
She gave a small nod against his chest �I got that feeling too�
He held her a little tighter �we�ll see if this calms down by the time I leave, if it does not, your coming back with me�
Remembering that man hitting her, she didn�t argue. Instead Kagome took the comfort that the youkai was providing her. She knew she was falling for him if she hadn�t fallen already, but she wasn�t ready to admit it just yet. She was still trying to get used to the idea that Inuyasha wasn�t really coming back. She could only imagine what he would think if he learned she had slept with his brother. In some way she felt as if she had done him wrong by doing the act with Sesshoumaru, but she could barely remember how it turned out that way to begin with. A knock on her door drew her attentions as her brother told them it was almost time for dinner. Both then went downstairs and waited in the dinning room, unfortunately, her dad was there as well. She glanced at him a moment as she sat next to Sesshoumaru. Her father hadn�t said anything about what happened earlier and didn�t seem to be asking any questions, so she assumed the matter was settled and silently thanked her jii-chan for stepping in.
Suddenly, Sesshoumaru�s cellphone rang and after seeing who it was, he answered it �what do you want?...I dropped Kagome off at home and was invited for supper�indeed�it does not matter what you do�I will see you tomorrow then�
Kagome looked at him with a smile �let me guess, Shippo?�
He smirked at her �right as usual�
�He�s the only one I�ve seen call your phone� she replied.
�Who is Shippo?� her father asked out of the blue.
Kagome looked at him and nervously answered �he�s the man who was here the night of my birthday�
Sesshoumaru gave a nod �yes, he is my son�
That seemed to perk her father�s interest �you two look like you could be brothers than father and son�
The former demon lord smirked �so I have been told, but you see he is my adopted son�
�Oh, I suppose that makes sense� he replied �though don�t they normally adopt them out when there isn�t such closeness in age?�
�Normally that is the case� Sesshoumaru answered �Shippo is about 15years younger than I am, but you see I knew his mother. She unfortunately left where she knew he couldn�t follow and she worried about him; since she knew me she felt I was best to raise her son and so she in trusted him to my care�
Her father raised an eyebrow �she left her own son huh?�
�Not by choice� he replied with a look in his eyes revealing the hidden message �if she could she would have stayed, but she couldn�t, time wouldn�t let her�
�She died then huh?�
Sesshoumaru merely gave a nod as the food was brought out. During the supper both told Aksumi the plan of Kagome staying at his place on weekends and her mother agreed that it was a fine idea. Her father was silent which made Kagome nervous. When it was all done he had Kagome walk him out to his hummer �you will call if he does or says anything?�
She gave a nod �of course I will�

Well there it is another chapter finally up. My grandmother's memorial was beautiful. Sorry for the late up date, but i'm also doing some other stuff outside this. Gonna be moving to another town to live with my boyfriend in aug, but don't you worry, I'll have this story completely updated by then. There's only three chapters left to go.
