It just had to be Kagome.
“It had to be you.”
After his long life and many women he’d known, it was a human miko who was once loyal to his hanyou half-brother five centuries earlier that he wanted.

She was a living contradiction; human but ancient and a miko with a youkai lover.
It was downright cynical of fate to make him this miserable without her.

She was his antithesis and somehow perfect for him.

She would always challenge him.

So it was a good thing Sesshoumaru knew how to battle.
