‘Thinking’

AN~ Sorry it’s been awhile. I stopped writing to complete school and I can final say that I have a medical degree.

Shippou woke up feeling guilty. His demon side was getting to him lately. Sitting up looking down at his hands he remembered what he almost did to Kagome, it was shameful. He needed to keep this other person inside of him under tighter control. Just because he could take her doesn’t mean he should like some animal. He would not let his beast control him unless he wanted to let his inner self out on his own doing.
As he got up to stretch he noticed a note on the floor by his door. Curiously he walked over to his door to pick it up. He wasn’t the type to leave things just laying around so it had to be from someone in the house.
As he picked up the paper and read it he almost had his jaw drop. It was from Toga saying a new student Kagome Higurashi would be going to the school and to please see her around if needed but Sesshoumaru would be taking care of most of that.
That was all he needed to get him fully awake, take a hot shower and dress fast. He almost ripped his uniform getting it on so fast. He grabbed his bag, flew down the stairs and into his car. He wanted to be there to see her. Not in a stalker way but he was her friend and after what happened last night, he didn’t want her to be near the idiot or the door knob. He needed to call Kouga also and let him know.

She was wiggling with excitement in the seat of his car. She wanted to see the school so badly. On the other hand, she stopped wiggling and sighed to herself ‘now I have to deal with those two’. ‘Dad, I hope that you are proud of me. Help me through this please’ she silently said to herself and kept looking out the car window. There were lots of trees and nice looking houses now. ‘Must be getting close’ Then she remembered something important she didn’t think about
“Mr. Taisho” She looked at the demon driving her in the nicest car she had ever seen and ever been in. He didn’t say anything but turn his head slightly to her. She took that as he was going to listen to her question. “What about a bus or train? I live far and I need to know about schedules for the transport”
Sesshoumaru was listening but it wasn’t his responsibility to know such an idiotic thing. “Do I look like I would know about such things as the transportation?” He still didn’t look at her. ‘How could father pick such an idiot? Powers or not that was stupid’
Kagome didn’t expect such an icy answer. Then again at the meeting it was the same so she should have guessed. “No I guess not. I’m sorry it was a stupid question and I should look that up on my own. I just thought that maybe the school had a service but with all you rich kids with your parent’s money to spend on nice things you wouldn’t give two cents about a bus” She ended her statement in a snide way but felt he deserved it.
Sesshoumaru turned to her with a scowl on his face giving her an icy death stare “You would do well to watch what you say and how you say something to me human”
Kagome sighed again. “Sorry but it was a harmless question to which you could have said ‘no I don’t’. It’s very simple answer with less time and less words to use”
Sesshoumaru didn’t answer or look at her anymore. She has a smart mouth which would get her in trouble if she continues.’ Plus if something happened to her father would most likely torture me to death if anything happened to her. With what he did to Inuyasha this morning concerning said girl.’ He smirked to his self ‘maybe if the idiot and the whore do more to her they will be dead soon.’ This thought pleased him.
“We are almost to the school. You can ask the office about your question” Kagome looked at him and smiled “Thank you”.

“WHAT?! Are you sure?!!” echoed in the court yard with many people stopping to look at the wolf demon that was shouting at the top of his lungs.
Shippou was explaining to Kouga that Sesshoumaru is picking up Kagome and bringing her to the school today. He couldn’t believe that Kagome got in. He was excited to see her. “What time!!?” Kouga all but demanded from Shippou “Well I don’t know Kouga he did have to go pick her up but I’m guessing soon”
Just then the bell for first class rang. “Dammit! Shippou it’s the first class period already where are you?” “I’m coming I will probably get there in the middle of class time. I didn’t have a good night after you left to deal with your stuff. My demon really wanted to take Kagome…..” Kouga couldn’t believe it, Shippou of all demons. The mild mannered demon that always had his head on straight almost lost his head all together.
He remembered what that felt like, when a demons inner self wanted to do those things with or without permission. “You handled it okay?” Kouga was concerned for his friend now. Every demon had to go through it but usually it was little by little. He guessed it was because fox demons by nature are a little more sexual than most. “Yea… I bolted as soon as I came out of my trance. I’m fine it won’t happen again” Kouga nodded and told Shippou to hurry up. He ended the call to walk in the building to get to his class when the pain from last night appeared by his side.
“Hi sweetie!” Kouga jumped a little at her words and that she was standing next to him… again. Didn’t he explain to her for hours that he wasn’t interested in her. Even her father was trying to get him and her together. He tried to explain to her and her father that he didn’t want to be with her. Not that she wasn’t pretty or a powerful demon but he just didn’t want to. It was a nightmare and one he didn’t want to repeat.
“Ayame, Didn’t I explain last night that I don’t want to be with you… At all” He started to walk faster to his class that thankfully she wasn’t in. “Yes, But you are a stubborn wolf. So if I keep trying you will come around” Then she did something that made him want to push her to the ground. She kissed him on the cheek.
“AYAME! HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO SAY THAT I AM NOT INTERESTED IN YOU!! WHY CAN’T YOU GET IT IN YOUR BRAIN THAT I DON’T WANT TO BE WITH YOU, I DON’T WANT TO BE ANY PLACE NEAR YOU!” He was pissed. He yelled so loud that now a lot of demons were watching them. She looked around at the gathering audience a little nervous. This isn’t what she thought would happen. Sure he might get a little mad, as usual, but she never thought he would raise his voice at her in front of the school or anyone.
“Kouga calm down I didn’t mean to…” “NO! STOP YOUR STUPID ACT! YOU ARE ALWAYS COMING ON TO ME LIKE SOME DAMM WHORE THAT WANTS NOTHING BUT SEX AND MONEY. STOP COMING NEAR ME AND STAY OUTTA MY LIFE!!” He walked away leaving her there with everyone to watch her squirm. Honestly that wasn’t the way he wanted to get her to back off. With the night he had his temper was a little out of control. Right now all he could think about was seeing Kagome.

“Wow…” One word, just one to describe the place she was standing in front of. The place was huge! Nothing but trees, grass and tall three to five story white buildings with massive windows. It was impressive to say the least. If this was just the front she wondered how massive the whole entire school was.
Sesshoumaru went past her as she was gawking at the buildings that he knew all too well. Yes, they were impressive and the land was pretty but, it got old after years of attending and seeing it. “Are you coming human?” She snapped out of the gaze to look at him with a humorless face “My name is Kagome Higurashi remember?”
Sesshoumaru was still standing in the door way waiting for the human girl. He raised his eyebrow at her statement. “If you would like, Kagome Higurashi, I can leave you out here and you can then go back to your other school.”
Kagome wasn’t pleased but she didn’t want to go back. She came very far and wanted to continue to do so. She walked in to stand next to Sesshoumaru or as she would call him from now on in private, lord pain in the ass. “Okay lets go I don’t want to go back.”
Sesshoumaru turned and started to walk the long and wide halls ways of his school Making two right turns then walking in to the school office to see his father standing there. “Hello son! Did everything go well?” His father didn’t need to wait for an answer when Kagome walked in.
“Hi Mr. Taisho!” “Hello Miss. Higurashi how was the ride over?” He smiled at her. She looked so grown up now but still a child. Now he got the chance to protect her better. “It was nice but I had a few questions. What kind of transportation can I take to get to school? I live far and need a bus time or train.” “Oh yes well you see there was never a need for such a thing at this school and because we are located quite a bit away from the city the bus and train don’t run out here very far.”
She looked defeated and felt a little defeated too. Guess she needed to get a bike then and find the nearest bus or train that took her near the school. “Never fear I have a plan!” Toga exclaimed. “I will be sending a car one hour before school starts to bring you here every day and take you home as well”
Kagome was shocked. He was willing to do that for me? But why? “No” she calmly stated “I don’t want you to go out of your way just for me. I will get a bike and find a train or bus that comes close to the school and bike the rest of the way. It will be a nice bit of exercise for me”.
Toga looked at the little human that he witnessed many times looking for food.
………………..Flash back…………………..
He had come to the park she was “living” at many times. He would sit, read a paper, enjoy a treat but always left something for her to find. When it was snowing he left a plain black jacket behind a bench looking as though it was left there by mistake. The next day he saw her with it on sitting on the swings. He sat in the bench next to the swings enjoying a cup of hot tea. It was cold out and it got him worried so he went to the park. After a few minutes the little girl came to him but then started to walk away. “Girl, did you need something?” he tried not to sound like he was the one begging her to ask for food, money, a drink or even a toy. “Sorry mister, I just wanted to know if I could have your cup when you are done”. It took every fiber of his control not to show how much he wanted to take her home with him. “You may have it now; this tea does not taste well to me”. As he stood and handed her the cup he noticed that she was happy to have something warm in her hands. As he walked away he told her that he saw some blankets by the panda statue. Of course he secretly put them there and he continued to place hot cups of tea in the park for her to find when it was cold.

“That will not do Higurashi” he didn’t want this girl that he felt a great attachment to, to have to work even harder. “It is a long drive from your area to here. So traveling the way you just mentioned would make you late for class and you would get tired easily.” Toga told her sternly in a parenting voice.
Kagome was worried she didn’t want special treatment but then she remembered that at a school like this private cars probably are very normal. “Okay, Thank you Mr. Taisho” she bowed low to him. She could never repay him for this with money but she would by keeping up with her studies and proving to him that sponsoring her was a good choice.
