Ch.7

The week of recovery had been hell for pretty much everyone involved. Inuyasha was not a good patient. Everyone from the healer, to the guards, to the servants had found that out. By the end of the fifth day it was taking potions to keep him unconscious, just to keep him resting in bed. When they didn't they would find him trying to sneak out of the rooms. Which was why Sesshoumaru had it with his unruly mate, and ordered the healer to knock him out until he was well. His patience had ended about two days earlier during Inuyasha's 3^rd day of healing; An annoyed Sesshoumaru was not something anyone wanted to be around either.

His father had warned him that the first couple of years after a permanent mating where the worst. That he would have to learn about his mate, and his mate would have to learn about him, and they both had to learn to live together. That was all very well and good, but Sesshoumaru was pretty sure if his father had to live with his hanyou brother he'd throw him into a room and lock him away until he learned his lessons. The old dog was good, but let's face it... The boys had gotten their impatience from him. Not their mothers.

Currently Sesshoumaru was trying to deal with a delegation from the Southern lands. Their 'princess' had been the last bitch Sesshoumaru had tried having a pup with; And apparently her father and the little bitch where not happy about their parting. Something that did not surprise Sesshoumaru. The bitch had been clingy. Too clingy. He'd hated it every time she'd thrown herself at him. While she'd been in the castle he'd practically locked himself away in his office to not deal with her, and his urge to just slit her throat when ever she called him. Even remembering it made him growl.

“Thank you for seeing us Lord Sesshoumaru, we are afraid that our Lord does not fully understand your actions. The agreement was that if the Princess Chie provided you with a pup, that you would mate her permanently.” One of the delegates expressed.

“So you see my lord, due to the agreement, the princess shouldn't have been sent away by you. You should have mated her. She did produce a pup for you.” The head of the delegation expressed.

Sesshoumaru raised an eyebrow, A cold, unemotional look had been ever present on his face, and he was feeling every bit as cold as he looked to be. These bastards where one step away from getting killed.

The delegation had not been in his presence for more than a minute and their speech had already angered him. He was barely controlling his urge to kill them. Their arrogance and stupidity was astounding him. He looked past them to his kappa rushing in breathless, and frowned, getting even colder.

“Jaken... Did I not make myself clear when I said you where to come back alone..” Sesshoumaru said giving the kappa another cold look, that made the little kappa bow, and grovel at the feet of his desk.

“A thousand apologies Sesshoumaru Sama... I tried to tell them my Lord. I tried explaining.” Jaken said afraid for his life like always. This heir thing had taken nearly a century out of his life, he was sure of it. His lord was furious.

Sesshoumaru looked to the delegates, When they started speaking again. They didn't even get very far. He heard the “Lord Sesshoumaru we must....” and with a swift calculated move let out his light whip slashing three of the delegates' heads off. Leaving the last one shaking where he stood nearly soiling himself when the Lord stood, looking colder than ever. The office floors, and walls where not bloody with the delegation's remains all over.

“Leave!” Sesshoumaru said holding back a growl, but looking down to the delegate like he was an insect he wanted to step on. The man wisely ran out of the castle as fast as he could. Sesshoumaru looked down to Jaken and kicked him out of his office, making him hit the hallway wall with a thud. “Have the maids clean this mess Jaken!” Sesshoumaru said coldly, heading for his suite. He didn't get very far before he saw Inuyasha coming his way. “And send them back to their Lord!” Sesshoumaru said to Jaken clearly knowing what he was doing. That bastard of a Lord thought to order him?! He would show the insignificant thing who he was dealing with.

Jaken looked to the remains of the delegation after he got up and rubbed his sore head where he'd been kicked. He shook his head, and grumbled at how his lord was always so furious, and ran off to do as he asked.

“Before you get your nerves riled again, let me tell ya the healer said I was perfectly fine now, so I could get up and walk around.” Inuyasha said not wanting to argue again. He didn't know why, but he really didn't. He knew it wasn't like him. Maybe it was the pregnancy... He didn't know. He knew the last week had been trying for him and Sesshoumaru, and now that he could move around again, he didn't want to be knocked out again. One look at Sesshoumaru and he knew the lord wasn't in a playing around mood. So it was best not to push him.

He sniffed and scrunched up his nose at the smell, looking behind Sesshoumaru he smirked, realizing why Sesshoumaru was in such a mood at the moment. “Not friends I take it.” He said looking up to him. “Everything okay?” He asked.

Sesshoumaru watched his mate, he took a breath to calm himself, his mate did not deserve to get hit with his anger when he wasn't at fault. Jaken did, but not his mate.

“Everything is fine, just a minor matter.” Sesshoumaru said looking to Inuyasha. “Have you eaten?” He asked. “We should go to lunch in the dinning hall now that you are well.” He said.

Inuyasha raised an eyebrow clearly not believing him. “Yeah...Ya got three headless royal guys in your office...That's a small matter huh...” He said watching Sesshoumaru heading away from him and his office. Inuyasha hadn't gotten the full tour yet, so he wasn't sure where his 'mate' was going. “Sesshoumaru?” He asked going after him.

“I do not wish to speak of it. I suggest you drop it.” Sesshoumaru said coldly.

“Like hell... Mates talk to each other... I've been married before ya bastard. Remember? 65 years... Married to a miko? I know how this shit works, even if you don't. I'm doing my part here as much as I can Sesshoumaru. You gotta do yours.” Inuyasha said stopping and looking to Sesshoumaru, who growled. “And growls don't fucking scare me. I can growl too.” He added. Sesshoumaru didn't respond, just kept walking. Inuyasha growled loudly. “This is a fucking full mating right? It makes me your equal ya bastard. What ever is bothering you? Who where those bastards?” He asked coming up to Sesshoumaru and stepping in front of him.

Sesshoumaru was taking more and more deep breaths, Just trying ever so much to control his temper. But Inuyasha didn't seem to get the hint. When he got stopped, he looked down to his little brother. The scent of pregnancy now filled the hallways where ever his brother was. The pup was indeed progressing well, Even he could detect the faint extra heart beat coming from his brother now.

“It is my mater Inuyasha. Not yours.” Sesshoumaru said looking to Inuyasha, just hoping he'd drop it. The hanyou growled. It looked like he wasn't in luck...

“Again... Let me explain this to ya cause I don't think it's going into that thick head of yours. We're mates. We're equals. Your problems are my problems too. So... You got a problem and you talk to me about it. See... Easy... Now you try it.” Inuyasha said in a slow deliberate tone, as if he was talking to a child.

Sesshoumaru raised an eyebrow at it all. He wondered how the miko had put up with his brother for so long. He had no idea at this point how he was going to handle eternity with the hanyou. “Very well... Since you insist little brother.” Sesshoumaru said walking past Inuyasha heading for the great dinning hall. “The Lord of the South is angry with me because I returned his daughter to him. Apparently he seems to think that a dead pup is what I asked for. He is trying to make me finish our deal.” Sesshoumaru said calmly, but coldly. Nearly growling again.

“But that's idiotic... A dead pup can't be an heir. What do they expect you do? Mate her? You already mated me... Don't they know that?” Inuyasha said walking besides his brother.

“I have not announced our mating yet.” Sesshoumaru explained. He knew that would bring up more questions. He sighed mentally at that, wondering if Inuyasha ever actually shut up. So far he and the kit where proving worse than Rin ever was.

“Why? I thought ya had too? With the pregnancy and all?” Inuyasha asked confused. “It's not like ya have to tell 'em how you feel and shit right? You just have to tell 'em you mated me and you're getting your heir.” Inuyasha said looking to him. He did look at Sesshoumaru now wondering if Sesshoumaru was going to hide him too. Was he that embarrassed? He understood the talking about your feelings shit. Hell, he didn't really wanna talk about it either. Not wanting to fall more into the bitch role than he already was. “Sesshoumaru...” He said stopping, looking to him, Confussion and hurt in his eyes.

Sesshoumaru stopped hearing how the hanyou had said his name... With that hurt tone that just got to him. He sighed mentally wondering why he was being tortured. “I have not mentioned it because there are a lot of families out there that will not be happy Inuyasha.” He said turning to the hanyou, looking to him, with loving eyes, even though he kept the cold expression on. “You are doing something the full demon princess' could not. They will not be happy about the dishonor to their name.” Sesshoumaru explained.

Inuyasha pouted a bit and closed the gap between him and Sesshoumaru. He looked up to the demon Lord and was about to speak. But got shut up before he started it.

“ I know it is not your fault, but you can not fight in your condition. I will announce it when you have pupped, and our child is out of danger. Not before.” Sesshoumaru explained.

Inuyasha's ears stuck themselves to his skull. He pouted, growled, but nodded, sighing. “Fine... I won't endanger our pup...” He said grumbling. “How long is this shit gonna take anyways. I ain't gonna be pregnant for 9 months like a human wench am I?” He asked looking up as Sesshoumaru once again started for the dinning hall.

“No, Though normal inu pregnancies take 3 months. I suspect you'll be longer since you are hanyou. It depends on the pup as well. The healer explained that the pup is nearly full demon. He is not sure how many hanyou features he'll have.” Sesshoumaru explained as they finally got to the dinning hall.

“It could be a girl you know.. You calling it a 'he'.” Inuyasha said following Sesshoumaru.

“I doubt it. A female pup has not been born into our family ever.” Sesshoumaru explained.

“Never?!” Inuyasha said in disbelief. “Never.” Sesshoumaru added watching his brother's face with a mental chuckle. No one knew why there where no females born into their line, But it was true. While there had been a few breeders here and there, like their grandfather, and now Inuyasha. There had never been true females.

The huge Dinning room had a massive 20 person Japanese style table in the center of it. With colorful cushions around for sitting. Three of the walls where the traditional Shoiji Screens, while the wall that separated the dinning hall from the kitchens was white stone, with reliefs carved into it of Inu in their true forms flying through clouds. The biggest being the late Inu No Taishio as he flew through a cloud bank holding a cow in his mouth.

Sesshoumaru sat at the head of the table and motioned for Inuyasha to sit as his side, while the servants set their places, and another for Shippou who should have been here by this time.

Inuyasha was thinking about the time thing and now the girl thing, it had him growling a bit. But got lost in thought when they came into the room and looked at everything. Inuyasha noticed the mural and studied it.

“Is that dad?” He asked looking to the big inu. “Yes.” He heard Sesshoumaru answer. He looked to the other inu carved up there and noticed there was one that was Sesshoumaru. He smirked a bit at that. He'd been so lost in it he didn't notice the old carver hovering above him. When he did he blinked and looked up.

“What's he doing?” Inuyasha asked as he came back over to the table.

“Adding you to the wall.” Sesshoumaru stated calmly. Inuyasha just raised an eyebrow brow and watched the guy. At the moment the guy was just working on a mountain face, with a cliff on the top. “You will be on the cliff, holding Tetsusaiga and looking at me and father.” Sesshoumaru explained.

“That's weird ya know.” Inuyasha said, with a small laugh.

“If you do not like it I suggest you say so now. He can still make changes.” Sesshoumaru explained.

“No i'm sure it will look fine.. It's just... No one's ever carved me into anything, or painted me... It feels weird knowing i'm gonna be carved into a wall for everyone to see.” Inuyasha said.

Sesshoumaru raised an eyebrow at that. Mildly surprised. “You are my mate Inuyasha. Your likeness is being added to all the murals in the castle.” He said as if it was just the normal thing to do.

Inuyasha blinked at that. “All of 'em!” He said shocked.

“You will get used to it.” Sesshoumaru said hiding his amusement, and putting up the normal look when the servants came in and served the meal. For him it was a youkai feast. The meat was seasoned and just barely cooked in it's own blood. It was wild boar this time. For Inuyasha the cook had brought an assortment of baked fish, grilled boar meat, and a noddle soup that he had been taught by Shippou because the kit knew Ramen was still Inuyasha's favorite, and the noddle soup was very close to it.

Inuyasha of course dug right in. Sesshoumaru mean while ate very elegantly. Even though the meal was bloody he didn't get it on him at all. Not even one spot. As both ate Shippou rushed in laughing to himself rushing to hide behind Inuyasha quickly. Three guards with fox fire burned clothes running behind him, stopping cold in their tracks when they saw their lord.

Sesshoumaru looked up from his meal, looking to the kit, and then looking to the guards. He gave them a cold 'get out' look. Which they promptly obeyed but not before giving a growl at the kit. Once they where gone, Shippou came out, he'd been laughing the entire time.

Inuyasha shook his head and plopped the kit in a chair next to him, without saying a word about it.

“You are not going to discipline him?” Sesshoumaru asked with what was a cold normal tone for him. Not that he was at all angry about it, After all if the guards where idiotic enough to fall for a kit's trick they deserved it. But he did realize the kit needed disciplining.

“Why? The bastards probably deserved it.” Inuyasha said eating. He looked to Sesshoumaru wondering if he was going to make a bid deal of this.

Shippou looked to Sesshoumaru giving him an innocent looking smile, that hid a 'I won, I won' look.

“Inuyasha, It's boring here! There's nothing to do!” Shippou said whining up at his foster father a bit. “Can we play with the card tricks again tonight?” Shippou asked.

Sesshoumaru looked up to the kit. “Your new tutors will be here by tomorrow. That will keep you busy. And today you will be shown your room. You will sleep there from now on.” He said clearly with the lord tone.

Shippou looked to Sesshoumaru and pouted up to Inuyasha. “I don't want tutors, and I always sleep with Inuyasha.” Shippou said pouting.

Inuyasha sighed, and rolled his eyes looking to Sesshoumaru. “Is that really necessary, Sesshoumaru?” He asked.

“He is wild, and needs teaching. So yes, the tutors are necessary. Everyone will see him as our ward, He will need to act accordingly. As for the room. It is your choice really. If you wish him to keep sleeping with you that can be done. Keep in mind I will take you every night whether the kit is there or not. If you wish him to learn sexual education in such a manner it is up to you. He is not my ward.” Sesshoumaru said calmly, clearly meaning it as well. He was sure one night of embarrassment being taken in front of the kit would cure Inuyasha of his need of sleeping with the runt. Though he doubted it would go that far. He saw Inuyasha blanch at the words, and hid a smirk.

“You wouldn't dare...” Inuyasha said growling roughly, and looking to Sesshoumaru not sure if he should believe the demon lord or not. Shippou was gagging at the idea of having to sit there and watch two having sex, the kit was visibly grossed out.

“Try me.” Sesshoumaru said ever so calmly and coldly, eating his food like the conversation was the most normal thing in the world.

“He'd see you too.” Inuyasha said, still unsure if to believe that his brother would really do such a thing. It was bad even for him.

“I have no qualms about people seeing me take my mate Inuyasha. I can call the servants and take you here while they watch if you do not believe me. We can give the castle a show of it if you wish.” Sesshoumaru said with the same tone as before.

Inuyasha lowered his head to hide his blushing with his hair. He wasn't about to test Sesshoumaru on this. Anything but this. He was pretty sure in his currently condition the bastard could over power him. 'Dammed pregnancy.' He thought while growling low in his throat. “The room will be good right?” He asked, sighing and relenting on this.

“Fit for a prince.” Sesshoumaru said calmly, knowing he'd won. Shippou looked to Inuyasha, and then to Sesshoumaru, and pouted. Not liking the change. “You will stop pouting kit, You are more than old enough to know when to behave, or do wish for Inuyasha to pay for your actions?” Sesshoumaru asked.

“No...” Shippou said pouting, but trying to control it. Already formulating plans on how to make Sesshoumaru's life hell, for doing this to him.

Sesshoumaru of course knew fox behavior, he was none to pleased about having to keep one in his home, But the kit was Inuyasha's. However.. If he had to live with him, the kit would learn to behave one way or another.

“Why'd you only say it now if it mattered so much?” Shippou said looking up to the lord.

“Inuyasha was ill. We where not going to be doing anything, and you kept him calm. From now on however, you will sleep alone.” Sesshoumaru said looking to the kit.

Shippou just watched the lord, with a defiance he'd learned from Inuyasha, but he ate silently and just kept thinking. Unlike Inuyasha didn't go around just yelling at everyone, He was a fox. He'd do it his way.

Sesshoumaru was well aware of all this, so he'd keep an eye on the kit. At the first misbehavior towards him he would teach the little runt to respect him. No matter how much Inuyasha disliked it. Thankfully the rest of the meal went well, and after he took Inuyasha out for fresh air. The kit of course he ordered to go with the servant so he could be shown his new room, and get proper clothing made for him.

“You realize the kit is going to be hell when he grows up if you keep allowing him to do what ever he wishes.” Sesshoumaru said walking Inuyasha to the area by the koi pond. Today wasn't snowing, so it was nice out. The servants had known to prepare so they'd set out a fur for the lords to sit on, in a private area of the koi garden.

Inuyasha looked to Sesshoumaru and just smirked a bit. “It's been just him and I for a while now Sesshoumaru. Kids don't take change well. Give him some time, he'll warm up to you... Eventually.” Inuyasha said being led to the fur, he raised an eyebrow but sat when Sesshoumaru motioned him to do so.

“Since when are you an expert on such things little brother?” Sesshoumaru asked curiously.

Inuyasha laughed. “Kagome and I babysat Miroku's and Sango's bunch all the time.” Inuyasha said. “And we did keep Shippou as our own. Been raising him for nearly 80 years now Sesshoumaru.” Inuyasha said groaning a bit when Sesshoumaru leaned into him, starting to nip, and lick at the mark on his neck, that just made Inuyasha nearly moan out quickly.

“I see.” Sesshoumaru said with a smirk watching his mate start to melt under him, and he'd barely done anything yet. It was very amusing, Perhaps he'd tease his little hanyou a lot today. He leaned down unwrapping Inuyasha's top half, letting his hands wander over his hanyou's chest. “At least you will be an expert with the pup then, you're turning out to be such a good little mate.” Sesshoumaru said as he leaned down and teased Inuyasha's chest now. He trailed kisses, and nip down the hanyou's chest, towards his stomach. Hearing Inuyasha moaning softly was music to his ears.

“Yeah... You don't say... Maybe i'll keep behaving if you're gonna reward me like this.” Inuyasha said with chuckling, moaning tone, as he stayed still while Sesshoumaru worked his way down.

“Oh, i'll reward you very well, indeed.” Sesshoumaru said with a smirk, going up to claim Inuyasha's mouth passionately, while a hand went into the hanyou's clothing and started to tease the boy's cock.

Inuyasha just moaned into the kiss, as he felt his entire body heat up with Sesshoumaru's attentions. He was soo close just from the teasing he was getting he didn't even notice the scent coming closer to the castle.

Sesshoumaru did though. He growled at being interrupted when his mate was so ready for him. But he stopped and quickly covered up Inuyasha. Standing up he hid Inuyasha with his own body.

A black female inu appeared out of nowhere, growling to Sesshoumaru. She didn't land, Just transformed into a beautiful looking Inu princess in mid air. She had long silk-like brown hair that went down to her butt. Beautiful ice blue eyes, and a very well curved body that any woman would kill for. “You dare refuse my father Sesshoumaru. How dare you! After everything I went through for you. You do not even care do you?! You didn't even give me another chance! Do you hate me that much?” This was Princess Chie. In all her glory. Much to the annoyance of Sesshoumaru.

The Demon Lord growled loudly, being interrupted did not give him a whole heck of a lot of a good mood. “You dare show yourself to me, and dare to bark and give me orders. You are lucky I did not kill you like the rest of the worthless bitches who dared to loose my pups!!” Sesshoumaru said growling. Amber eyes turning to red as he seethed with furry. Who the hell was she to speak to him in such a manner.

Inuyasha had composed himself when he realized why Sesshoumaru had stopped. When he heard the growls from Sesshoumaru he quickly stood, and hugged himself to Sesshoumaru's side, trying to calm him down. He figured killing a princess wouldn't be good for peace among the youkai lords. Specially with everything Sesshoumaru had told him earlier. Contrary to popular belief, Inuyasha was very observant. He just didn't show it all the time. Having his enemies thinking he was brash and stupid worked to his advantage most of the time.

Feeling his mate get close to him like that worked. The Lord calmed, getting controlled again, and looking up to the princess, with hate in his eyes.

“So this is why you did not mate me? You already had one on the side lines waiting didn't you?” The princess yelled to Sesshoumaru. “Our pup has not been dead two months, and you already have another on the way?!” She yelled. “You are a bastard, just like everyone says.”

Sesshoumaru cared little for what she called him. He noticed she was intelligent not to call Inuyasha any names. “This one will at least give me a proper heir. Leave before I send you to your father in pieces! I never want to see you in my lands.” Sesshoumaru said with a tone that could freeze hell.

The princess growled, turning she shifted into her inu form and just flew off, clearly angry. She'd never touched the ground, She knew if she did then the Lord would have an excuse to send the guards and everyone in his power after her. That was if he even bothered, he might come after her himself. That would be worse. No one survived such a thing, she knew that very well. But ohhhh That little whore of a breeder... She could tell from the scent that what he was. Already pupped. How dare he!!! A worthless hanyou. How dare he replace her with that... that.... thing!!! And he dared to say that thing's pup would survive and be better when her own true inu pup had died. She had no idea the hanyou was Inuyasha. Not that it would matter to her. All hanyou where still worthless to her, and this one dared take her place. Her father would hear of this indignation.

When the bitch was gone Inuyasha was still plastered to Sesshoumaru's side. Sesshoumaru moved him to his front and just wrapped his arms around the hanyou. Just trying to calm himself down from the seething anger that made his youkai want to fly off after the bitch and make her suffer. He should have. His youkai kept telling him he should. She deserves it. But Sesshoumaru didn't, he stayed there just holding Inuyasha. Letting the scent of him calm him.

“So much for the reward.” He heard Inuyasha say. “Now I know how Kagome felt every time I wanted to run off and kill someone.” The hanyou said. Sesshoumaru had to smirk at that.

“Calling yourself a wife are we?” Sesshoumaru said letting the boy calm him more, He once again sat himself down pulling Inuyasha into his lap.

Inuyasha smirked and wrapped his arms around Sesshoumaru's neck, while wrapping his legs around his waist and sitting there on his lap. He could feel that Sesshoumaru still had a hard on. Which was a bit surprising considering everything that had just happened so quickly. He was really going soft here. Sesshoumaru was making him too soft. Geez, he had to get a hold of this. At least he felt good cause Sesshoumaru had it just as bad as him, and he could tell.

“No, But one of us has to remain calm I guess, or we'd both run off to kill everyone that pissed us off.” Inuyasha said.

“Hmmmmm.... Remind me to pray to that miko of yours and thank her for making you such a good mate for me.” Sesshoumaru said with a smirk. “She trained you well indeed.” Sesshoumaru said with a small chuckling tone as he pulled his mate to him. He heard Inuyasha laugh, and moan when he started kissing and nipping down his chest again, after opening his clothing once more. Perhaps the afternoon was not ruined after all.
