Dirty Little Secret

Chapter Seven

In a hot spring somewhere…

Miroku your dick is purple!! Gasped a shocked Inuyasha.

Miroku’s hands shot down to cup his privates shielding them from the mortified hanyou’s eyes.

“What are you doing looking?” He shouted in an attempt to distract the other boy.

“I uh..I wasn’t…It’s just that…” Stuttered a disconcerted dog demon, until he finally settled on a display of attitude.

“Feh.” He stuck his nose up in the air as he turned his back to the monk. Miroku took the opportunity to hastily scrub his stained equipment.

“Uh…It’s not going to rot off is it?” Whispered the horrified hanyou.

Miroku was enveloped in a coughing fit. Gasp..”No”..cough…as he made a hasty exit from the spring, minty fresh and stain free.

Back amp…amp…

“What is this Kagome-chan? It doesn’t seem like a very efficient weapon.” Sango looked at the cat-o-nine she held limply in her hand.

Kagome had set it out where she knew that exterminator would see it. Laughing internally at her own personal joke, she set the stage.

“Oh that, some kid at school gave it to me as a joke.” She frowned, trying to look disapproving.

“What is the joke.” Asked a bewildered Sango.

“Oh it’s a dominatrix thing. Woman with tight leather outfits and bad attitudes slap their men around with it. He said I was getting too bossy.” She sniffed as if insulted.

“Well you do spend an awful lot of time around Inuyasha.” Said Sango absently as she examined the whip with a new fascination.

“I am not bossy.” Kagome really was insulted now and she placed her hands on her hips.”

“Gomen, Kagome-chan I didn’t mean it that way.” Sango attempted to placate the teenager.

“Feh.” She really was spending too much time with Inuyasha.

“Well if you want it you can have it, I don’t need it, I’m not the one who’s displaying bouts of bossiness, like some people I could mention.” Kagome crossed her arms under her breasts and it was very apparent she was still miffed.

“Arigatou.” Sango wanted to defend herself, but at the same time she wanted the whip. Experience taught her that Kagome could give as well as take and she didn’t want her gift to slip through her fingers. She began to absently stroke the soft fringe when Kagome caught sight of something intriguing.

“Why is your hand purple Sango?” Asked a curious Kagome.

“I umm picked some blackberries while you were gone.” A nervous exterminator sweat dropped.

“Oh that sounds delicious! We should go get some for the boys. It would be a special treat, I bet they would really like it.” Chirped an oblivious Kagome. Through the din of paranoia screeching her in brain, Sango noted that Kagome was having more mood swings than normal. That only happened when it was her time of the month or she was upset. She was positive the problem wasn’t the former, so that meant Kagome was upset about something. Sango had yet to get an answer as to why she had disappeared to her time the other day. She would have analyzed the situation closer but her only thought was to rid herself of her indiscretion.

“Uh yah. Could I borrow your soap, I need to wash my hand.” Asked a red-faced Sango.

“Oh sure.” Kagome handed her the soap and watched Sango practically bolt from the camp. She shrugged and went back to cooking ramen.

Sango’s POV

She stood over Her Houshi, while she lightly slapped the cat-o-nine against her hip. She had him on his knees in front of her, his hands grabbing his calves because his wrists were tied to his ankles so he had to lean back on his haunches. She had stripped his chest bare so that his robes hung down from his belted waist. His back arched forward, giving her unhindered access to his beautiful torso.

She raised her arm to bring the whip down on him yet again when she heard a sound behind her. She turned quickly, her heart thumping in fear. She did not want to beght ght commenting such a perversity. The blood leached out of her face as her breath was sucked out of her, like she was punched in the gut.

There, not more than ten feet behind her, stood her parents. Her mother looked grief-stricken and pale. Tears of remorse rolled down her face as she gazed at her only daughter. Great wracking sobs began to spill from her quivering lips. A strong hand settled on her shoulder drawing Sango’s eyes to the second intruder.

Her father stared at a point just above her left shoulder refusing to meet her eyes. His face was stern and distant as disapproval emanated off him in great dark waves. He gently clasped his sobbing wife to his chest as he turned to lead her away. They began to melt into the mist when Sango jumped into action.

“No come back, I'm sorry! It was a mistake I didn’t mean too.” She dropped the whip at her feet as she flew towards them, but no matter how fast she ran she could not reach them.

“Mama! Papa! Come back!” She screamed.

Sango shot up from her prone position, her hair matted to her skull in damp chunks. Her breath came in heavy pants as she surveyed the area. She could see Kagome asleep on the other side of the fire, and Her Houshi was a few yards away to her left.

“Oy, Sango are you alright?” Inuyasha watched her from his perch in a tree above Kagome.

She swallowed a few times in an effort to find her voice. “yah, just a bad dream.” She whispered shakily.

“Feh, well go back to sleep we have to travel hard tomorrow.” His voice was harsh but his gaze was concerned.

“Of course, good night Inuyasha.” She laid back down turning her back on the hanyou to stare out into the sea of darkness.

Despair wells up from the pit of my stomach as I try to edge away from My Houshi. No! You mustn’t think of him that way. He is the venerable Houshi-sama deserving of you respect as a Holy Man.

Houshi-sama, Houshi-sama, Houshi-sama. I chant to myself. My Houshi a small voice whispers in the back of my head. I resist the urge to lean back into his warm frame, instead I sit bolt upright on Kiarra.

I know My Houshi, I mean Houshi-sama is hurt by my slight, but he is just going to have to accept it. We can not continue in this manner. It’s wrong. It’s disrespectful. It’s unnatural.

I start to chew on my lower lip as thoughts begin to swirl in my head. Visions of my mother’s mortified face and my stoic father swim into view. How they must be twisting in their graves at their daughter’s dishonorable behavior.

To do “that” with a Houshi! Not only “that” but in that manner. You took a switch to him for Buddha’s sake! It’s wrong, wrong, wrong! Memories of the moans I wrought from his lips come unbidden to my mind. Unconsciously I begin to lean into My Houshi.

I catch myself and jerk upright again. Bad, Bad, Bad me. But he liked it. No he didn’t, he is just trying to be polite. He doesn’t know how to deny me without hurting me. I must make him sick.h keh keep telling yourself that.

What has gotten into you? You are out of control. Oh I think the problem is that you like being in control a little too much. The little voice in her head smirked. Hush, I will not allow myself to be smirked at by myself. *Dead silence* Oh gods, I am going insane.

I feel the heat radiating from his body and I can feel moisture pooling in my loins. I know he wants to put his hands on my body, to wring cries of pleasure from my lips. Oh gods, how I want those strong hands on me.

No I have to be strong. I have to deny my unnatural thoughts. I had my fun now I have to repent. I have to repent for the both of us, this is all my fault. My Houshi is good and kind and I have done this to him. I subjugated him to my aberrant will..

I am ashamed of the things that I have done, with a man who isn’t even my husband. You had no intention of marrying. Then I should have died a virgin instead of disgracing my family. I am abhorrent

Later that day….

Miroku secured them rooms at the nicest inn in town. This was the biggest village that they had ever been too, a sprawling metropolis to the natives in the group, but a quaint village to Kagome.

Kagome wanted to go shopping and Shippou insisted on going with. Of course, Inuyasha trailed behind them, muttering about wenches and their obsession with buying things.

Miroku took the opportunity to seek out Sango. She was sitting on the veranda in the back of the inn staring out into a verdant field.

“Sango?” He questioned softly. He felt a pain twist in his heart when he saw her tense at his voice. Her head dropped a fraction of an inch as she refused to turn to look at him.

“What have I done wrong Sango? Why are you upset with me?” He asked pain laced into his voice.

Sango winced at the tone. She had been dreading this all day. The tension curled up into a ball in her stomach and threatened to riot at any moment.

“I am not mad at you Houshi-sama.” The words came out harsher than she intended and she could hear his swift intake of breath. Whether it was from her tone or the use of his formal title she did not know.

“Then what is it?” He shifted his weight causing the rings on his staff to clank loudly in the oppressed atmosphere.

“It’s just that I have done a lot of thinking, and I think that maybe we should put some distance between us.” Sango’s voice quavered.

Fear shot through Miroku’s body at her words. He swiftly moved so he stood in front of her.

“What are you saying Sango?” His expression was a mask of worry.

Irritation bloomed in Sango, why did he have to make it so hard? “Just what I said, I think we should stop.” She stated tersely.

“But why?” Miroku voice rose to match his rising panic.

Sango responded immediately to his tone with her own panic, blurting out the words without considering them.

“Because it’s wrong! It’s unnatural! It’s perverted!” She snarled, her own frustration at her weakness infecting the words.

Miroku gasped as if physically struck. She thought he was unnatural. That he was perverted.

“I see, then we have nothing more to talk about do we?” His voice was remote and controlled. All expression of worry that he had previously worn faded away. Only a blank wall remained.

Sango bit her lip, wishing she could take back the words. Thoughts whirled in her head but before she could pluck out an intelligible sentence Miroku had already disappeared around the corner of the building.

Miroku swept through the streets, neither looking left nor right. His only intention was to get away as quickly as possible. When he finally looked up he saw that he was before a disreputable tea room, where the sake was cheap and the women cheaper. He walked inside.

Elsewhere……..

Kagome was browsing through the trinkets that were lined up on the table. She would absently pick an item up, fondling it, before setting it down again. Inuyasha shifted impatiently beside her, glaring at the merchant who was glaring at Kagome.

“Have you noticed that Houshi-sama hasn’t groped any women lately?” Kagome asked while still examining the disgruntled merchant’s wares.

“Feh, well I know why he isn’t grg yog you and I don’t think the month is up for Sango yet.” Snorted a disinterested Inuyasha.

“Hmm, yes I know that, but he hasn’t groped any women at all for quite some time. Do you think he is okay?” Kagome now moved off to another table a slight frown forming on her brow. Inuyasha hated that look. It meant she was thinking. She really was too smart for her own good. However, talking about Miroku and his health made him remember something that did concern him.

Making sure that Shippou was out of hearing range he bent down to whisper in Kagome’s ear.

“His WHAT was purple!?” Kagome screeched.

“Feh! Bitch, keep it down would ya!” Inuyasha face was the color of his houri at having to admit any knowledge whatsoever about another man’s package.

He leaned down again. “You don’t think what he has is catching do you?” Worry clearly etched on his face, while he unconsciously shifted his hands protectively in front of him.

no, no, I don’t think so Inuyasha.” Kagome answer distantly. Her thoughts churned desperately in her mind. Sango’s hand was purple. She said that she picked some blackberries while they were gone. Miroku’s umm thingy was purple as well. An image of Sango standing over Miroku demanding her boots to be cleaned flashed in her mind.

A sly smile formed on her perfect lips as she began to put two and two together.

“Oy, what are you smiling about wench?” growled Inuyasha.

“Oh nothing.” She waved her hand at him. “Oh look, what pretty combs.”

Miroku’s POV

She stares down at me, a cruel smile gracing her lips. She slaps me again across my face while snickering in pleasure. She presses herself close to me and I can feel her breath against my neck. She draws the flesh into her mouth and she bites down hard causing blood to well up.

I close my eyes, leaning my head back to give her greater access while a groan escapes my lips. “Yes.” I yearn to move to touch her, but she hasn’t given me permission yet, and I want to snarl with frustration.

I feel her nails rake down my chest, just the way I like it, leaving burning trails in their wake. Her soft lips follow after my sharp attackers, lapping the sting away.

“Yes My Mistress, hurt me more.” I gasp.

“Hurt you?” A soft voice asks. “I haven’t hurt you.”

My eyes shoot open and I stare into dark grey eyes instead to the soft chocolate of my Sango’s. Why did the wench have to speak? I can feel myself go flaccid as I look at the geisha. I growl in desperation.

“I will pay you more to hurt me.” I plead.

She rears back slightly. “Hurt you how?” She looks slightly disturbed. I grab her wrists and pull her closer to me.

“Slap me. Draw blood. Hurt me until the pain goes away.” I beg, tears forming in my eyes. My grip on her wrists tighten and I can hear her gasp.

“Oh you are one of those. I don’t do that sort of thing. We have a particular girl who deals with our “special” clients. Wait here and I will get her.”

“No, don’t go.” I demand with a hiss.

Her eyes widen and I can feel her tremble. “Please free me.” She requests softly while gently tugging at her wrists. I realize that I am holding her and drop her hands like she has burned me. She rises not even bothering to clothe herself as she walks from the room.

I pull myself up to lean against the wall, the filthy blankets heaped around my waist. I draw my knee up so I can drape my arm over it. I lean down to rest my head against my forearm.

I am a “special” client. Sango is right. I am unnatural. I am deviant. What is worse is that I have corrupted my beautiful Sango with my sickness. I don’t deserve to be in her presence. My lust for her is an infection that she should cut out from her life, a disease on her soul. I have taken an angel and pulled her down from the clouds, only to have her wallow in the mud that is my perversity.

When another woman comes in, I tell her to get out and leave me a bottle of sake. I don’t want any woman, except My Sango.

The next morning…..

Sango is pale and drawn with dark circles under her eyes. The hard line of her mouth clearly shouts that she does not wish to speak or be spoken too as they gather outside. Inuyasha eyes the exterminator nervously while Kagome s hes her lip.

Kagome was on the verge of being brave when Miroku straggled up, causing the unspoken words to die on her lips. He looked like he had clawed his way out of the seven circles of hell. His robes were askew and bedraggled. His hair stuck up at all angles and he too had dark circles under his eyes.

He stank to high heaven as well and Inuyasha nearly made a derogatory comment. However, he caught sight of Miroku’s bloodshot eyes, which disturbingly reminded him of an angry youkai and he thought better of it.

Kagome noted that he stayed as far as possible from Sango, looking only straight ahead. Sango trailed behind her head down, hers nes never leaving the path at her feet. It was blaringly apparent to the others in the group that both were trying hard not to draw attention to the fact that they were not speaking.

The company exited the town without saying a word to each other. Shippou huddled in Kagome’s arms, wise enough not to break the silence. As the day proceeded, the chaotic aura that ebbed off the exterminator and the monk began to affect the miko as well.

Despairing thoughts of Inuyasha and Kikyo began to drag her down and soon she was equally withdrawn and moody. Kagome’s behavior reminded Inuyasha of their conversation in the well house, h leh lead him back to his inner dilemma that he had been trying to avoid for the last couple of days.

By the time the group broke for camp everyone was mentally exhausted. They quietly ate the food that Kagome made for them, before rolling over to sleep. Not a word was spoken between them the entire day.

Inuyasha’s POV

I loved her so much. She was so beful.ful. I would watch her from the shadowed forest while she gathered herbs in the sunlight. She would smile down at the village children and my heart would constrict in my chest. It seemed to me that the birds sung just for her and the flowers bloomed only for her pleasure. The need I felt to be close to her tugged on me like an invisible string. I was drawn to her, her voice, her scent, she was a vision.

I was so young then, and I didn’t know how to approach her. I was her enemy. I was a youkai and she was a miko. It didn’t matter that I was half human, all that mattered was that I was half demon. So I acted like a monster should and I tried to steal the jewel.

In my desperation, I didn’t think about the fact she could kill me. I only wanted to get closer to her, to feel her. She refused to kill me and it became a game between us. I would see how close I could get to the jewel, to her, before she caught me.

Soon it wasn’t enough and I became frustrated with the game. One day I saw her sitting on a knoll, plucking absently at a flower. She looked so alone, so exposed. Before I knew what I was doing I approached her. I don’t know what I thinking. Maybe I thought I was going to kill her or hurt her in some way but she turned to me wan aan accepting smile and we sat their together. A miko and a half demon.

After that we were inseparable. More like I couldn’t be separated from her. The need I had for her drove me to near insanity. It must have been insanity, why else would I agree to become human.

All I wanted was to touch her, to feel her around me. To inhale her sweet scent, but she held me afar. Always so remote, always watching me.

I fall asleep with her on my mind. The beautiful miko that would not let a hanyou touch her.

Kagome’s POV

Inuyasha is restless tonight, he keeps moving around and muttering. It’s probably all the stress from today. I glance over at Sango, her back is to the fire as she faces out into the darkness. I look at Miroku who is at the opposite side of the camp, mimicking her position.

I sigh deeply, I don’t know what happened, but it was really bad. I need to talk to Sango, maybe I can help to fix it. I hate to see my friends in such pain. And they were in deep, intense pain.

All thoughts of my friend’s suffering trail off as I hear my rude dog boy mutter in his sleep.

“Kikyo.”

I roll over to face the fire, silent tears streaming down my face.
