Hope you find the next events of the story interesting as well, can't wait to know your thoughts about ;)
So now, let's go see what Bankotsu and Ailyn will do then!
XXX
As if Bankotsu hasn't already being enough impertinent, he lifted his face a bit, making their noses almost touch, and he purred: "You're head over heels for me already, girl." His hot breath puffed on her chin as he uttered.
"In your dreams!" Immediately, her cheeks burned red. Returning to reality, Ailyn's reaction was to push him away. Bankotsu fell, laying upon the grass, laughing his lungs out.
She tried to get up, but also fell sitting on the ground, feeling dizzy after drinking so much whiskey. Then, the mercenary grasped her arms and pulled the foreigner to him, making her body roll upon his own just to end up over the earth, with his weight leaning over her forms, keeping the lass cornered under himself. Bankotsu held her hands on the sides of her blondie head just to assure that he wouldn't get punched out of nowhere.
"Get off me!" Ailyn protested.
"Shhh..." Bankotsu whispered while approaching their faces again. The black long braid falling upon one of his shoulders contrasted with the whiteness of his haori, making the man look even more interesting before her eyes. Still, Ailyn was a fighter and insisted on shaking her legs between his for a while, till them suddenly rested, stretched on the grass. The lad was so close, and had to be so unbearable irresistible! She felt a palpitation inside her most intimate part, filling her being with a sort of expectation. Maybe it was the alcohol on the brain, but she wasn't feeling outrageous anymore.
"Yeah, stay still..." He murmured softly, his voice sounded like velvet, smooth and hot. "Good girl." His hands slid over her arms, uncovering the milky skin from the fancy red sleeves, then they cupped her face carefully. Such hands of his, so warm, so alive... Albeit his cocky behavior, Bankotsu's gestures were so seductive that Ailyn wasn't able to scold him, she stood still, in waiting, light blue pools locked with the dark ones.
The cobalt eyes, almost closing, glistened the unmistakable lust's flame, as did his smirking lips which firstly rubbed on her cheek, warming the flushed face a bit more. After spreading a wet trail over there, he met the corner of her mouth and the tip of his tongue stroked her lower lip, then sneaked into the gap and slid inside the pleading, gasping cavity.
It happened so naturally that both even didn't realize they were already kissing. The bitter whiskey's taste prevailed, mixed to the feeling of tongues' textures intertwined.
Bankotsu pressed his body against the delicate, feminine one and, excited by the moment, he rubbed the recent volume under his pants between the legs already widened by her own free will. As they licked, sucked each other's tongues and lips urgently, his rough fingers began to pull all those heavy layers of skirt up, uncovering the curved soft thighs which his hands grabbed and squeezed. Ailyn raised her hips from the grass, the friction between her womb and his aroused manhood made them release muffled moans inside that wild soaked kiss.
"Big brother, where are you?" Jakotsu's voice could be heard by the couple, and even if it sounded distant, they got alarmed and parted from each other immediately. "Oh, there you are!" Soon he arrived and stared at the scene in bewilderment: there were a man and a woman, both panting, sitting on opposite sides. Bankotsu's armor had it's pieces spread over the soil, as for his clothes – they were as disarranged as the foreigner's dress. Ailyn's hair looked a complete mess with tiny leaves entangled on yellow strands, and, finally, their swollen lips stained in red denounced what the mercenary and the witch have been doing together.
"Hey!" Smiling sillily and with slow, slurred speech, the leader took the bottle on the ground and raised it. "Come drink with us! Look at this drink that, that..." His tongue clicked against the palate, and with an embarrassed smile on the face, Bankotsu asked her: "What's your name again?"
"You got to be kidding me!" A fire seemed to revolve within her when realizing he was seriously asking that, and this time it was not the desire's flame making her skin feel feverish. Furious, the lass got up and walked away, staggering between the trees. Her shoulder hit on a branch, but she was so numb that couldn't feel it.
"Oops, she got mad..." Bankotsu scratched his face with the index finger.
"But of course she's mad, big brother!" Jakotsu splayed one hand on his own forehead and sighed. "It's been a while that she is walking with us and till now you didn't learn her name."
"What can I do if she has a weird name, so hard to spell?" Bankotsu took another sip, acting like he didn't care about the lass' reaction, yet his frowning face made it clear he was kind of concerned.

Ailyn walked a great deal, reaching the place where the stream seemed to be deeper. There she knelt and washed her face, her neck and mostly her mouth. The lass rubbed her lips till they got even more swollen, then she drank a lot of water, intending to get sober the sooner it was possible.
That strange, but very well known heat intensified while drinking whiskey. The Red Rose was far from being a holy virgin, for she already had some past experiences, all insignificant though. For curiosity's sake, or even because of needs of the flesh, Ailyn delivered her body for some men in her life. In many of those times, she has gained something in return, anyway, there were always situations in which the golden-haired beauty got victorious in the end, breaking a plenty of hearts after getting what she wanted.
The sensation of having an icy cold twirling into her belly was new and made her shiver.
Ailyn recalled a conversation about love with Annabelle, and how she disdained the feeling. Would be possible such disdain has turned against herself? Only thinking about the possibility made a hysterical laughter echoes from her throat. Her body leaned ahead and she covered her stomach with both hands. Bankotsu was young, virile and powerful. Moreover, for so long Ailyn didn't feel desired, nor had sex with anyone, so it must be natural having to deal with such discomfort sensations!
...so why the hell was she so angry about Bankotsu not remembering her name? Why in the world would it be relevant?
It should be the drink. Surely was it!
"Yo..." Ailyn heard a voice coming from her back and soon turned around, longing for meeting him, but it was another man instead.
Jakotsu.
"What do you want?" The lass sighed in disappointment.
"Look, I'm going straight to the point," he sat beside her. "I hate women, only being next to one give me chills of disgust".
"So why are you here?" She crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow.
"Because, despite you're a woman, I almost like you." Jakotsu said naturally. "And I would like to have more of that." He took the empty glass' bottle from his long sleeve and waved it in the air.
"Oh, thank you very much!" Ailyn ironized. "I'm flattered, but I fear my stock ran out".
"Do you like him?" Jakotsu leaned a bit, getting closer while staring at her incisively.
"What?!"
"Do you like my brother?" He adjusted the question.
"Are you brothers for real?" Ailyn completely ignored the inquiry and changed the subject.
"Yeah, Bankotsu and I are siblings." The tall androgynous mercenary smiled, then rested his head on his own hand.
"You two look inseparable indeed..." She sounded discretely melancholy as dipping one hand into the stream.
"Of course we are, we're family, so we take care of one another." As Jakotsu explained, Ailyn chuckled bitterly. "What are you laughing at?"
"I have a sister as well" she told.
"The one who tried to kill you?"
"I cannot judge her, for I was the one who tried to kill her first." Ailyn shrugged.
"Why?" The dark eyes blinked, finding hard to understand her.
"Because I hate her." Words sounded slow, painful, although her gaze was blank.
"And why do you hate her so much?" Jakotsu insisted on asking, he was indeed curious about such complicated fraternal relationship.
"Sincerely speaking? I do not even know anymore..." Ailyn covered her face, massaging her temples while snorting.
"I think you should go to your sister and make amends." He said confidently.
"And why would I do that?" The woman disdained. The assassin looked like a naive child just suggesting such thing.
"Because it must be too sad living so lonely." He concluded.
"Well, I disagree, I have already get used to it..." Ailyn chuckled one more time. "But I am not alone anymore, am I?" She gazed at him. "Not that I have chosen any of it though..." She mocked.
"So, do you like him or not?" Jakotsu didn't forget the matter.
"Bloody hell! Why do you insist on making me this question?!" She complained.
"Because he likes you." The answer came strictly, without a glimpse of doubt.
"Oh, please!" Ailyn laughed loudly. "He is incapable to even remember my name!"
"And yet he risked his own life to save yours. Does it not matter at all?" Jakotsu red lips went straight and he crossed his arms.
Ailyn's lips parted, but she couldn't find a response. The air felt stuck in the middle of her throat, her skin grew paler as the clear blue eyes widened. Her heart raced unexpectedly, putting her out of balance. Not in a hundred years the lass would have thought that her heartbeats could increase that way for anybody's sake. Her chest felt like trembling, so intense were the poundings inside. Her whole body warmed up then. It was true! Bankotsu saved her from Kaze no Kizu, and as an inner defense or any other reason she couldn't put a name on, Ailyn tried to not think about the event, however her mind betrayed her from the start. Bringing Bankotsu a drink has been like thanking him without having to say the proper word, her pride wouldn't allow that much. Still, his attitude has moved the lass deeply. Since the first time Jakotsu asked her such a simple question, Lynnie has been afraid of just pondering about what answer she would find, even if the Red Rose herself repeated the same words over and over into her head lately.
Do I like him?
"You like him." Jakotsu spat, as if the woman was the most easy riddle to solve. His sincere smile made her stiff.
"I do not!" Not even the hysterical tone made her sound convicted of it.
"Yes, you do!" He laughed. "And be thankful he feels the same, or I would tear you in peaces right here and now. But I made a promise to myself that if one day my brother found a woman to himself, I wouldn't mess around with her at all." Jakotsu raised his hands up, showing he has come in peace.
"I am not your brother's woman!" The lass got up fiercely, already tired of that conversation.
"Sure..." It was obvious on Jakotsu's face and tone that he wasn't taking her not a bit seriously. "Now let's go back to the camp, unless you'd prefer to sleep in the middle of the woods, surrounded by demons..." The mercenary rose up as well.
Begrudgingly, Ailyn returned with the tall lad to the place where the rest of the group was reunited. There, she found Bankotsu sleeping soundly as he had no worries in the world. The others were still awake and stared at her with a glimpse of hostility, so having a sort of an unexpected alliance with Jakotsu brought her some relief, despite of the cringe motivation behind it.
The lass chose to lay next to the androgynous man, she didn't sleep as well as she would like though. Every single noise woke her up through the night. Ailyn could only rest at the first mornings' hours, when Bankotsu was already on his feet. Even if the lad was evidently dealing with a hangover, he still made her feel secure. It was hard to assume, yet Ailyn could not deny how protected she felt on his presence. So, the Red Rose slept till one of the men shake her shoulder, warning that they must go on with their journey.
Till they get to Ginkotsu, Bankotsu avoided to glance at her. They didn't talk, both walked far from the other, and once they were over the metallic living-wagon, each one sat on opposite sides. The atmosphere surrounding the band was weird enough to even Renkotsu and Suikotsu notice something has happened, and the men buzzed a plenty of observations between themselves. Jakotsu just pretended to not know anything, and the leader kept his gaze on the horizon ahead.
However, the moment when the foreigner and the mercenary would have to face each other came sooner than they were expecting, for Kohaku appeared and oriented Ailyn to use a portal to take Bankotsu to a place called Hijiri Island.
I do not want to do that. She thought and then sighed, as her feet took her to Bankotsu and her mouth opened, repeating Naraku's orders.
"Alright, let's go". Bankotsu held the imponent Banryu at his shoulder and came closer, not looking into her eyes for so long though. "And what do we have to do in there?"
"The boy did not tell me, he just said that you should be there". The lass breathed in deeply to maintain the controlled façade. Her hands were hidden behind the heavy reddish fabric of the long sleeves.
"So be it, take me there" he shrugged.
"Do you not have anything to say?" The question fled, pouring through clenched teeth, almost taking her soul along.
"Oi?" Cobalt eyes discretely narrowed, like Bankotsu didn't get what she has meant.
Ailyn stared at him for some time, still hoping for any word to sound from his lips, yet nothing came. At last, after another sigh, she gave up.
"Nevermind, let us go on with it already." Blue eyes rolled before she cleared her throat and walked even closer towards him.
The leader of the Shichinintai hummed in confusion when her chin touched his shoulder uncovered by a piece of armor, and her delicate arms evolved his waist. Golden vast curls rubbed against his face. The woman looked beyond while her body pressed against his, a smile so small to be identified colored her complexion. Finally, a luminous green circle formed around them and, as fast as a light beam, it took them to a little wooden house in the middle of a island filled with flowers that had the very same Naraku's puppet scent.
Soon after their feet reached the ground, Ailyn moved away slowly, her cheek was inches to touch his, their soft skins almost rubbed while she undid the embrace. Her perfume got stuck on him, it felt like a purposely doing. The foreigner eyes stood on his features for instants, silent as a tomb, and he retrieved the gesture staring at the lass intensely. A sort of aura in that place contributed for a vertiginous sensation, and also for something else...
Ailyn turned her back to the mercenary, another portal showed up in front of her, the door that would take her to somewhere far away from Bankotsu for an undetermined time. Ready to go in, suddenly she spun her body and stepped to the undead lad one more time. Before he could ask what the hell did she want, the western woman held the back of his head and sealed their mouths together, provoking a popping sound when they parted – so sudden as they united. He dizzily sighed, not having any time to react, for after such brief moment of madness, Ailyn vanished from his view, leaving a lonely mercenary stroking his own lips, in trance.
I feel I am going to regret this later... She told herself, trying to be reasonable. Above the treetops, on the locus Ailyn has emerged, many demon wasps were lurking around, watching the change she has been enduring within. Someone, in a safe place, closer than anyone could imagine, couldn't help but laugh of such tremendous irony.
Ailyn closed her eyes and smiled, finding some comfort on the conversation with Jakotsu.
"You are near, I can feel..." The Red Rose whispered. "Belle..." and then she referred to her sister using the nickname from their childhood. It has been so natural that she not even realized it came out from her mouth. At the distance, it was possible to see the top of a high mount emerging from the white clouds.
To be continued...
