The healer quickly took Pearl from Touga and immediately began to clean her to see all the damage that had been done to the little hanyou. He had his assistants open her legs and pushed a syringe inside of her that would destroy all the seamen and heal any internal wounds.

Then the healer took as much blood as possible from both Touga and Louna pumping the blood into the unconscious girl who was malnourished and horribly dehydrated.

Whatever was put into her system also stopped her from lactating so she would not be able to feed the pups. The healer inserted a needle and syringe full of fluids and a solution that would remove any poisons that were in her system.

The healer unwrapped the poorly done wrappings looking at the severity of the wounds on her back and about cried, but forced himself to remain focused on saving his patient.

“We need more demon blood.”

The healer said to Touga who nodded and got the soldiers to give up their arms.

Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha finally arrived back at the castle where Sesshoumaru was rushed to the healer where his blood was drawn and placed in a jar. Then the healer rushed the jar to where Pearl was at and pumped that blood into the girl.

“How is she?”

Inuyasha asked Father while completely stressed.

“I don’t know yet son. The healer has been working on her though and do not disturb him. You two go get cleaned up. If she wakes she does not need the smell of that place near her.”

Father stated as he too went to clean up.

A tube was placed in Pearl to catch her urine and a bed pan was set under her for any defecation. The healer doubted she would defecate.

The healer moved from pumping blood to putting another syringe full of fluids into the little hanyou. He also administered a pain potion to keep her from feeling the pains from her rape as well as from the wounds on her back which looked like they were from a whip and a knife.

He cleaned the wounds and put a healing salve and polis upon them before wrapping them. He placed bags of ice on her pelvis finding that the rape had broken bones. He also put ice on her bruised and battered inner thighs. One of her hip bones was also broken probably from the rapes also. The healer did everything he could possibly do for all the physical wounds.

The healer then decided it was time to tell her family the news and Pearl’s current status.

Finding Lady Louna he had her gather everyone together so the healer didn’t have to repeat himself. This was going to be hard enough as it was.

Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha cleaned up quickly and met up with everyone. When they were all together the healer told them of the physical damage done to Pearl and the fact she would not be able to nurse the pups.

Louna gasped and was horrified by what they had done to her little girl. Father swallowed and nodded feeling a rage he hadn’t felt in years. Sesshoumaru sat with tears falling down his cheeks wishing that tensaiga could bring those bastards back again so he could kill them a third time. Inuyasha threw up having to hold himself up as he sobbed for his mate.

Then the healer explained what could be the mental damage. Irrational fears of men in general, possible brain damage from malnutrition and dehydration, the fear of being touched, nightmares, and the possible thoughts of suicide.

“Is there anything we can do?”

Father asked.

“Be supportive, understanding, and listen. She will need gentle safe touches and will probably be afraid of sexual situations. She must not be left alone by any means and as long as it is safe she can have anything she wants. The biggest thing will be getting her to eat. I can push nutrients through her system for a while, but she needs food. I don’t know if they were starving her or if she simply refused to eat. I will also be injecting her with fluids until her fluid level is up.”

The healer said.

“Thank you.”

Sesshoumaru said to the healer who simply nodded and went back to care for Pearl.

Inuyasha’s gut and head hurt. The emotional pain was so intense for him that it was physically hurting him. He wanted to scream at whoever would listen that it should have been him that took this pain. He was used to pain and he blamed himself for not getting there fast enough to save Pearl.

Sesshoumaru was blaming himself too and he didn’t know where to direct it. Normally he would just kill whatever bothered him or if it was Inuyasha beat him up.

Father blamed himself for not going with the boys. He knew he should always follow his gut feeling and he knew there was something wrong, but like a fool he ignored it. Father thought Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha could handle things just fine. Once again he was wrong and now his precious daughter was paying for it.

Louna just sobbed for her little girl. She wanted to take all that pain away and she couldn’t.

Sesshoumaru was the first to get up. He decided he had to spend every waking moment with his precious Pearl until she was well again. Sesshoumaru would do anything in this world that was possible to make Pearl know she was loved.

It took two full days before Pearl opened her eyes and when she did she was still in full demon form. Pearl could smell her Alpha and even though it hurt she had to find him. Sitting up Pearl whimpered and Sesshoumaru rushed to her side. He had stood up for a moment since from sitting for so long holding her hand his legs were falling asleep.

“Alpha……”

Pearl said in a childish voice making Sesshoumaru truly realize what a baby she was.

“I am here my dearest love.”

Sesshoumaru said as he came to her side.

Pearl sobbed nuzzling him desperately trying to ask him to forgive her. She must have been a bad mate to have him leave her alone for so long with those mean people.

Whimpering and whining Pearl was very much just a little puppy begging for her Alpha to love her.

Sesshoumaru growled softly to let her know everything was going to be ok and that he loved her. Sesshoumaru tried to be strong and tried not to break down since right now his beloved female needed him to be her rock. Still her whimpers and cries made him feel so hopelessly sad since he knew he could not take all of her pain away.

“Pearl sorry Alpha…….please don’t leave Pearl. Pearl tried to fight bad men…….tried so hard….bad men not mate…….forgive……”

Pearl sobbed to her beloved Alpha.

Sesshoumaru couldn’t help it as tears poured down his face. His little Pearl thought she was a bad mate and that her rapes were her fault. It broke Sesshoumaru’s heart and he wanted to kill those bastards again for making his beloved feel this way.

“This Sesshoumaru did not leave you my mate, my very good mate. This Sesshoumaru loves you; you are not to blame my little one. Those bad men are dead and will never touch this Sesshoumaru’s Pearl again.”

Sesshoumaru said in Inu so she would understand him as he nuzzled her and held her gently in his arms.

Pearl ignored the tubes in her body and the needles. She climbed naked and shivering onto her Alpha’s lap and huddled into him. Sesshoumaru wrapped his mokomoko around her and his arms. He rested his chin on her head and whispered words of love to her. Sesshoumaru sang softly to Pearl until she fell asleep.

When Sesshoumaru tried to move Pearl to the bed she whimpered so he just held her ignoring all his own needs for her need to be with him. Sesshoumaru knew that his little Pearl was going to be afraid of his leaving her alone so he hoped Father would forgive him for not being able to help him with all the paperwork he had to do.

While Pearl was resting for those two days Sesshoumaru hardly left her side, but Father gruffly forced Sesshoumaru to do more then sit around to wait for Pearl to wake. Both Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru had argued with Father saying that their little female needed to see them immediately when she woke, but Father and the healer said that they would get them when she did wake.

Sesshoumaru was just happy he was able to be in the room when she did wake and that he was able to maybe comfort her a little.

Father looked for Sesshoumaru to see if he was ready to work on some of the paperwork with him when he found his son with Pearl curled up in his lap.

“I’ll tell your brother.”

Father said and Sesshoumaru simply nodded.

Inuyasha was with Kouga sparing and Kouga had kept Inuyasha from feeling so guilty. Kouga may have been an idiot on some things, but in others he was very wise. Kouga had dealt with women who had been abused like Pearl. He had always killed the bastards that hurt the females, but he knew enough to know that it wasn’t anyone’s fault that this happened to Pearl other than the bastards who did it to her.

Kouga played mediator between Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha making Inuyasha finally open up to his brother about why he couldn’t have saved Pearl. Sesshoumaru told Inuyasha he did not blame him and that he blamed himself. Both of the brothers agreed it did not make them feel any better that neither one of them blamed the other, but it did get some of the guilt off their chests.

Father made both his sons sit down and he explained why he felt he was at fault for Pearl’s abduction, beating, and rape. The brothers did not blame Father, but the three of them agreed to not ignore those gut feelings when something was not right since they all had them that day.

Kouga told his son Kip to shut up when Kip went off on Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha for not protecting Pearl. He told Kip to watch over the pack until he returned home since he also wanted to be there when Pearl awoke to help the brothers with what could end up being a life or death situation. Pearl would be extremely depressed and afraid.

Sesshoumaru hoped that with her full demon form she would forget what happened to her like Inuyasha did when he came to from one of his demon rages. Father however said that the demon this time would not let her forget since Pearl had not gone into a rage, but had been full demon due to the loss of her Alpha.

Inuyasha came rushing into the room to see Sesshoumaru holding Pearl on his lap. Reaching out Inuyasha stroked those little ears and ran his fingers over her hair. Inuyasha was so worried she would not wake up, but she had and he was eternally grateful for that.

“She is still in full demon state Inuyasha. We have mated a baby hanyou. Her mind is that of a mere pup.”

Sesshoumaru said hoping Inuyasha understood that Pearl for a while would need to be literally babied and that she would feel terrified and sad when they were not near.

Inuyasha nodded. He went to place Pearl on his lap to give Sesshoumaru a chance to move for a moment to a more comfortable position. When he did Pearl grasped onto Sesshoumaru’s kimono with her little fists and started crying like a lost puppy.

Growling at her softly Inuyasha let her know her other Alpha was here and that he wasn’t going to take her away from Sesshoumaru for long.

Pearl snuggled against Inuyasha who in Inu told her how much he loved and adored her. He told her how sorry he was they didn’t come to save her sooner. Sesshoumaru reminded Inuyasha to let her know what a good pup she was and that it was not her fault that those bad things happened to her. Inuyasha like Sesshoumaru also said that those bad people were dead and would never hurt her again. They had killed them and they were never going to come back to life again to hurt anyone.

The only thing keeping the nightmares away from Pearl was the fact she could smell both of her Alphas and their protective scents as well as feel the beating of their hearts when she leaned against them.

Inuyasha rocked Pearl in his arms and hummed to her. He decided to do what he did with the pups to calm them down and help them sleep better.

Over the next few days the two brothers got Pearl to finally eat. She ate like a starved little animal practically inhaling her food. Her full demon form was still in control and she acted very much like a wounded puppy especially when her Alphas would leave even for a second.

Father even had to be careful since Pearl loved her Papa as she called him and he would be forced to remain in the room with her until she fell asleep or Pearl would make a racket howling, whining, whimpering, and crying like the whole world ended.

Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru both were sitting in the room with Pearl as she devoured her meal in seconds with most of it on her face and hands since she used her hands to practically stuff food in her mouth.

Pearl referred to Kouga as Wolfy and he was the one with the food so she liked him. Kouga would bring Pearl treats from the kitchens and bring her more food when she wanted it. For a while Kouga thought it was cute that Pearl was a puppy until he didn’t bring her treats one day. Pearl waited for her treats and Kouga forgot them. Pearl started sobbing when he did and she had yet to forgive him for forgetting her.

They gave Pearl clothing to wear, but she would take it all off except for the undershirt that she stole from the laundry that smelled like Sesshoumaru. Pearl wore that everywhere and nothing else. When they tried to clean it or take it away from Pearl she fought them or cried until it was given back.

The healer did not want Pearl wandering around the castle until her back was fully healed so she was forced to remain in the room with the healer for most of the day whom she called Pokey since he poked her with needles all the time pissing her off.

Inuyasha wanted to spar with Kouga today and Sesshoumaru really needed to help Father with his paperwork, however Pearl was awake. When Pearl was awake everything in the world revolved around Pearl just like a child.

Trying to get comfortable in his chair Inuyasha moved a bit only for Pearl to grasp both his and Sesshoumaru’s arms in panic.

“Alpha stay………”

Pearl said in fear they would leave her.

Inuyasha sighed and stopped moving.

Pearl resumed eating and Sesshoumaru hoped soon his little girl would go to sleep.

The healer returned with more of Father’s blood to pump into Pearl to finish healing her back. As the healer got the needle ready Pearl threw a fit.

“NO POKEY! NO POKE PEARL!”

Pearl yelled. Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha had to hold Pearl down while the healer put the needle into Pearl who screamed like she was being killed and started pumping the blood into her veins.

“Come on and be a good girl Pearl.”

The healer said as Pearl sobbed.

Pearl could smell Papa and started to scream for Papa to save her.

Father came into the room and sighed. He gently ran his fingers over Pearl’s little ears and hair.

“Papa save me!”

Pearl begged.

“Hush baby. It is almost over little one. Such a fuss………be my big girl now.”

Father said.

Soon the healer was done and pulled out the needle.

Pearl grasped Father’s arm as she pulled away from her Alphas and curled up against her Papa.

“Papa stay.”

Pearl begged with tears in her eyes.

“Papa can stay for a while little one.”

Father said and went to shoo his sons out of the room only for Pearl to panic grabbing their arms.

“Alpha stay…..Papa stay……..No leave Pearl…….”

Pearl said as both brothers sighed and stayed put.

“Healer, do you have a drinking potion to help our little one sleep?”

Father asked since there was much to do and his sons needed to be free of Pearl for a while.

“Yes, however she won’t let me give it to her.”

The healer said.

“I will give it to her.”

Father stated.

Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru were forever grateful to Father for this. They felt kind of stupid though for not thinking of it themselves.

Father told Pearl a bedtime story like he used to with Sesshoumaru. Pearl listened intently to her beloved Papa’s voice. Inuyasha listened and in some ways was just as fascinated by the tale as Pearl was since he had never been told bedtime stories before. Sesshoumaru just wished the healer would hurry up with the damn potion since he had heard this story a billion times.

The healer mixed the potion and added some other herbs to it to make it taste pleasant since it was a tad bitter.

Papa made Pearl keep her hands down by telling her claws down as the command. He then took the potion and helped his daughter drink it down. If she used her hands she would have possibly spilled the potion and gotten it all over herself.

The potion worked swiftly and soon Pearl was asleep with the healer keeping watch as he sent the three men out so he could work on his studies while keeping an eye out for any nightmares Pearl might have.

While Sesshoumaru worked he prayed that Pearl would soon come back from this child like self to the girl he mated. Sesshoumaru worried though that it may never happen and he had to prepare himself that there was a real possibility like the healer said that Pearl’s brain was damaged and that he would indeed have to raise his mate as one would a child reteaching her everything she had forgotten. It wasn’t that he couldn’t do it, it was that he would have to face the real fact that his Pearl died at that castle. It would be as though the South did more than abuse his precious Pearl, they by doing as they did took her life away.

Pearl had forgotten she was a Mother to three children and at this point was incapable of caring for those pups. Pearl could barely take care of herself in this puppy like form. All of her memories were gone except for the real pain that she suffered at the hands of monsters and the constant fear of being abandoned by those that loved her.

Louna tried to be there for Pearl too, but she had to spend most of her time with the pups. Pearl rarely saw Louna and until Pearl came back to them she wasn’t safe enough to be around the little ones.

The whole family was in mourning for the girl they had all known before and every one of them longed for her to return to them praying constantly for Pearl to wake up as the hanyou girl rather than the demon child.
