Disclaimer: I don�t own Inu Yasha. I do however own the plot
to this story. *Holds up the infamous plot device* So their. I also own Ryuu
and the other original characters. See. *Holds up the Subreality registration
for fictive.* And this paper is legally binding. Though they have this law in
Subreality concerning youkai they said that all youkai and other creatures that
are not human must have tags.
Ryuu: They treated me like an Inu. I�m a fuckin Dragon not a
mangy Inu.
Tai/Ni: Hey!!! We�re Inu!!!
Me: Any way take my characters and I will hunt you down and
hang you by your tits. Got it.

Chapter 8
Explanations in Due
Time
After reading what was written on the fragile scroll she
stared at it blankly tears threatening to roll down her face. Reaching out
Shippou gently pulled her into his arms comforting her. He could feel wetness
on his shoulder where her tears were soaking into the expensive Gouache
business suit. �It�s okay mother he�s alright. I made sure of it.�
Slowly she stopped crying as her tears were stated. Reaching
out she managed to grab a towel off the counter to dry her eyes and clear her
nose. �I�ve got a question Shippou.�
�Yes,� He looked down at her. She seemed so much more
fragile then before.
Kagome sat down beside the table. Lookingat hat her adoptive
son she motioned for him to sit down. As Shippou settled down beside her she
turned to him looking him straight in the eye. �I want a truthful answer to
this.� Shippou simply nodded. �After I left what happened to the others?�
�How am I to tell her without disregarding the promise I
made to Him.� Looking over her shoulder he battled with himself as what to say.
Finally deciding on just telling her the simple truth. �Kagome, after you left
it took a while to get used to being without you. Even the villagers seemed
distant. Finally Mirkou asked Sango to marry him and she said yes. In fact I
know some of their descendents. Kieade grew old and died a wise old woman.
After she died Mirkou took over thrinerine until the new priestess arrived from
Kyoto. Several years later Mirkou and Sango to also grew old and died. During
this time I lived with Him and kept Him from harm.�
She looked up at her son smiling weakly. She had figured
that both of her good friends were dead and she had long ago gave into the idea
that they had died, but by seeing Shippou she wondered if just maybe Inu Yasha
was alive. �What about Inu Yasha and Kouga are they still around?�
The Kitsune worried his bottom lip. He wasn�t allowed to
tell her about Inu Yasha but he hadn�t promised Him to not tell her about
Kouga. �Well um Kouga�s still around. In fact I think he�s living in Osaka. The
rest of his pack still prefers places were there is little human interference
so I think most of the older ones have moved to Hokkaido while the younger ones
at lest the last few generations tend to live in the mountains. In fact last
year I went to one of the ski resorts and I was surprised at how many of the
pack was there. It stood to reason though Kouga did own that mountain.� Shippou
noticed that Kagome was giving him a rather serious look, �Aw bloody �ell. Wha�d I do naw?�
Kagome frowned at Shippou. All he had done was tell her
about Kouga he hadn�t even mentioned Inu Yasha. �Shippou,� She said in a rather
annoyed voice, �Answer the rest of my question NOW!�
Shippou gulped as Kagome gave him a steeled gaze. �Well� Um�
I � Um�. Promised� Um� Him, Yeah him� that I� Um� Uh� I wouldn�t� Um� Tell you
about Inu Yasha� Um� He did tell me that he� Um�� After stumbling around for
something to say Shippou finally came up with the perfect answer. Now he knew
how Inu Yasha had felt when Kagome was yelling at him and giving him �that
look�. �Um� You�ll get your explanation in due time.� Standing up Shippou
slowly walked back out into the living room leaving Kagome to think about this,
only to be mobbed by Will and the Twins.

Leslie looked up as Shippou followed Kagome into the
kitchen, William was looking at her confusedly, "How the hell do you know
him."
Lez looked the bison straight in the eye; "Because that
youkai was famous he's one of the few left after the wars that ravaged our
kind. You shall treat him with the respect he deserves. He is Shirro 'Kitt'
Shippou."
Will and the twins looked at her as if she grew and extra
head, "He's Kitt?"
Smacking herself in the forehead she muttered only one word,
"Yes."
At that moment Shippou walked out of the kitchen and we
spotted instantly by his raving mad fans.

Kagome sat there after Shippou left. 'He can't tell me about
Inu Yasha, but apparently He is still alive. But does that mean that Inu is
dead. No I'm not going to think about it.' as she sat there she heard something
familiar. It was the laughter of a very familiar ookami hanyou by the name of
Leslie. Then she heard it the sound of three excited people clamoring for
autographs. Getting up she decided to save Shippou from her crazy friends and there
was no telling what her grandfather would do to him, but at that moment she
heard it.
"Demon be gone." and with that she quickly walked
into the living room to save her adoptive son.
"Grandfather you know you don't have an spiritual
powers so stop putting ofudas on any youkai that comes into our household.
Sorry about that Shippou." Kagome helped him peal the sticky ofuda off his
poofy tail.
Leslie looked up from her demo disc for the new DDR game,
"Yeah he's done that to all of us."
Shippou smiled remembering when Inu Yasha had warned the
young cub about Jii-chan
*Flash Back (Shippou
seems to have a lot of these)*
Shippou was following Inu around after Kagome disappeared.
"Papa what was Mamma's world like?"
"Noisy and rather disgusting really."
"Meaning."
"The air wasn't clean. Huge metal pagodas, far higher then any in
Kyoto, have choked the earth, and the village is even larger then Kyoto. Not
many trees are around and some type of rock seems to cover much of the ground.
Though the temple where she lives is relatively peaceful and the foods great.
Especially those Califoonia Hambuugoos that they have are just great. The only
thing is if you ever show up at the temple watch out for the Jiji he's crazy
and tries to place ofudas on you even though he knows no magic."
*End Flashback*
So far Inu Yasha had described the world as how it was even
down to the food. "It's all right I should have followed papa�s
warning."
Kagome smiled shaking her head. She knew who Shippou
considered his father and was glad that at least Inu did grow up some and
become more mature. �At least enough to allow the kit to follow him around and
raise him.' "So he warned yah. Hum."
Lez watched what was happening and knew that her friend
Kagome was the powerful miko from the legend of the Shikon no Tama and that she
was her uncle Shippou's adoptive mother. "Hey Shippou can you get me 4
more back stage passes to the up coming battle of the bands."
Shippou warm laugh filled the air, "Hahahaha how did I
know that you would ask for that. I bet you want to get your friends in
to."
Lez grinned and scratched the back of her head, "Yeah I
kinda promised them."
Kagome smiled at the reaction of her parents to her adoptive
son. �Um Shippou I still have some unanswered questions?�
Turning around the kitsune gave her a cocky grin that was so
similar to that which Inu Yasha used to do when he actually smiled which was
rare, �Yeah what is it.�
�Well first of all, where do you live?� Kagome started
wringing her hands she was nervous and was hoping that where ever Shippou lived
that just maybe He lived their to.
�In Great Britain in the Scottish Country side. I own one of
the old castles in the highlands. It a very nice place to visit any time of the
year except during the winter. The winters are horrible.� When Shippou mentions
the winters being horrible he started rubbing his upper arms like he was cold.
She giggled at that. At least he hadn�t lost any of his
humor and it seemed that he gained some. �Now on to my second question.�
�Shoot.�
Kagome looked him dead in the eyes and gave him that serious
look that would scare most people to death, �Where does He live?�
Shippou raised his hands in front of him for defense as he
backed up a step, �I�m not allowed to divulge that information. Like I said before
explanations in due time.�
She sighed with a huff well for once the �Look� hadn�t
worked for her. It didn�t help that Ryuu, Will, the twins, and Leslie were
laughing like a bunch of stoners because at one point or another they had all
received the �Look� at usually backed off and did what ever she asked for.
After a few moments Shippou looked down at his watch and
realized that he had promised his mate that he would be back for dinner and
dinner had already came and went, �Oh shit I�m in it deep this time,� He though
to himself but out loud he proclaimed in British English, �Aw bloody �ell I gotta go.� Looking toward Kagome he left her with
one last bit of info, �Kagome I will meet you here tomorrow evening to take you
to Him. Kay?�
Kagome nodded numbly this was just all too much for her. Did
Shippou mean that he was going to take her to the site of his burial, or was
she actually going to be reunited with her mate? During this time she didn�t
notice Shippou leaving but when she heard the click of the door closing she
looked up and started up the stairs toward her bedroom not even acknowledging
any of her friends.
Leslie watched her so-called �sister� go up the stairs
looking like a puppy that someone had kicked, �What the hell was up with that?�
Her answer to that was a resounding thwock of the demon
spoon and Asami�s reprimand for cussing in front of Souta.

Sorry for such a long interval between chapters. I was busy
plugging away at Mystery Idiot Theater 3000 Experiment #003 Operation Sex by Inuyashalovesme.

I think it�apteapter 12 or near their I�m going to have a lemon and well when I
post that chapter up on FF.net it will contain both the Url to MM.org and a little
skit done by my characters in the story that basically they get some funoodles
and a rubber duck and they have to do something. Oh yeah I�m also writing a fic
for one of my friends that I�m going to post on Elfwood that is going to be

stated that they are going to air 52 new episodes of Inu Yasha in 2004. Yay. Oh
