"Come on, let's go away from town, I don't want any innocent people hurt," Inuyasha says
"Good idea Inuyasha, lead the way to your final resting ground" the assassin says as he appears in front of Inuyasha, still in his more modern clothes.

Chapter 8: Inuyasha versus the Half-Demon Assassin
"You?" Inuyasha says surprised
"Yes, Inuyasha, I have come to kill you" the assassin answers
"But, Kronos, why?" Inuyasha asks "
You should know why"
"I don't"
"Come, let us get away from the mortals, I have no intention of harming them"
"I agree"
"Not so fast, we're coming with you" Kagome says
"Ah, Inuyasha's mate" Kronos says "I'm disappointed with you"
"Cause I choose a human instead of a demon, or half-demon?" Inuyasha asks
"No" Kronos answers "For not making sure that you had an heir"
"What?" Kagome asks
"When I saw that Inuyasha had taken a mate I decided I'd give him more than enough time to conceive an heir, but he choose not to, such a shame"
"Me and Kagome are not having pups until after we defeat Naraku" Inuyasha growls
"I'm not sure who this Naraku is, but I assure you that you will not be alive long enough to defeat him"
"He will if we back him up," Sango says from on top Kilala
"We won't let you kill him," Miroku says
"Ah, the monk that told me where to find you, did you grow guts, monk?" Kronos asks
"I've had them, half-demon" Miroku says
"The name's Kronos" Kronos says "Now, let's go" He leads them away from the village. "I shall now kill you Inuyasha, and anybody else who dares get in the way"
"I'm tired of this" Kagome says as she readies an arrow
"Kagome, don't shoot him, yet" Inuyasha says
"Why?" she asks
"I want to ask him something" Inuyasha answers and turns to Kronos. "Kronos, why do you want to kill me, tell me that first?"
"Fine, I'll tell you" Kronos, says "Cause it was you who killed my mate, Inazuma"
"You took her as your mate?" Inuyasha asks surprised
"Yes, I did, and we had chosen to start ourselves a family" Kronos says. "She well into her pregnancy and I went hunting, suddenly I felt something wrong. I came back only to see your fire rat clothing a blur as you slashed her; she stood no chance in her condition. I gave her a proper burial before I started to track you down, then I found you about 2 months later."
"It couldn't have been me," Inuyasha says, but it's use
Kronos reaches under his trench coat and pulls out his swords. "Remember these?" he asks
~Flashback~
Young Inuyasha is running away from several demons when all the sudden, Kronos, dressed in his black robe appears behind him bearing his swords. "Double Destroyer!" He echoes out and a wave of energy comes from each sword and hist the demons and slays them. Kronos turns to the shaking form of Inuyasha.
"Who are you?" Inuyasha asked
"Kronos, watch out!" A female voice yells out. "Lightning bolt!" Kronos turns to see a roughly 12-year-old girl with long dark purple hair, and silver eyes, wearing a blue kimono slay a demon. "I did it!" she says triumphantly.
"Inazuma, come meet our new friend" Kronos says "
Of course" Inazuma says as she goes to Inuyasha and bows "My name is Inazuma, this is my protector, Kronos"
"We are half-demons, much like you" Kronos says. "What is your name?"
"Inuyasha" he answers
"Come, stay with us, it'll be nice to have another half-demon around" Kronos says and leads the way, Inazuma following, and then Inuyasha to following, too scared to do otherwise. Kronos and Inazuma feed Inuyasha delicious meal. "I know we're no much of a pack, but won't you stay with us Inuyasha?" Kronos asks. Inuyasha nods his head, but in the middle of the night he sneaks off, not really trusting them, even though they are other half-demons.
~End Flashback~
"Yeah, I remember those swords" Inuyasha says "They saved my life, then Inazuma saved yours"
"That she did" Kronos said "She was too young at that time to be my mate, then about the time you became pinned to the tree she was of age. I took her as my mate, then we found out about you, we mourned for you and watched over your body. We could not remove it from the tree, so we made sure that nothing ever harmed your body. We were in hiding the day you were freed from the tree; it was sometime after that we decided to start our family. I was going to find you and see if we could work together, after our child was born."
"But Inazuma was killed" Inuyasha says
"She was killed by you!" Kronos growls angrily as he lunges at Inuyasha.
"Now!" Inuyasha yells as he jumps into the air and Kagome fires her arrow at Kronos.
Kronos crosses his swords in an effort to block the arrow, but is knocked back and the swords fling from his hands.
Inuyasha lands near him. "Guess I have no choice" Inuyasha says as he pulls out Tetsusaiga and slashes at Kronos, and there's a loud clang as Kronos is holding his dagger in his hand and the dagger is holding off the Tetsusaiga.
"That dagger must be strong to hold off the Tetsusaiga's swing" Miroku says
"What's that dagger made of Kronos, I don't recall you having it last time we meet?" Inuyasha asks
"Inazuma made me swear to have it made from her fangs, so I took it to the greatest swordsmith I ever heard of and had him make it. He didn't want to oblige me until I told him it was her dying wish" Kronos said
"You don't say, and what is this swordsmith's name?" Inuyasha asks
At that time a bolt of lightning struck the ground and Totosai appeared. "Inuyasha, Kronos you two really shouldn't be fighting"
"Totosai, you know this guy?" Inuyasha asks as he puts Tetsusaiga away
"Of course I do, I made the dagger he was fighting you with" Totosai answers. "Raishin, the most amazing weapon I've ever seen. It'll protect him at any cost. Also it contains enormous power."
"That's why it as able to block Tetsusaiga" Inuyasha says "You made them both"
"Totosai, why have you interfered with my revenge?" Kronos answers
"First off, I would never had made that dagger had I know you were planning on killing Inuyasha with it" Totosai says.
"Second off, Inuyasha is not the one who killed Inazuma" Myouga says from Kronos' shoulder
Kronos smacks Myouga "What do you know of it Myouga?"
"Wait, you know Myouga?" Inuyasha asks
"Of course" Kronos says "I kept him company during those years you were pinned to the tree"
"As I was saying, I found out who really killed Inazuma" Myouga says
"So you were looking for information for him all this time?" Inuyasha asks
"Well, yes. I knew it wasn't you Lord Inuyasha, but Kronos had seen it with his own eyes, and unless I came up with some real proof he was going to kill you, no matter what I said" Myouga answers
"So, Myouga, who killed her then?" Kronos asks
Myouga started, "Her assassin was none other than...."
Author's Note: Cliffhanger ending, no? Think you know whom Inazuma's murderer really is, well, you're probably right. Next time, find out. How will Kronos react to the knowing who the murderer is? Till next time, peace!
