“Miroku,
she has a fever.” Sango said worried.“Huh?”
Shippo piped up upon entering behind the monk’s robe.“Shippo,
go outside with Kirara and help her keep watch… let no one in.” Sango resolved, letting out an air of relief when the
two youkai exited the vicinity.“She
has lost too much blood… I know it’s grim my dearest, but we need to face that she
might not make it this time.” Miroku’s voice was breaking with fear as he spoke;
Sango brushed a lone tear from her cheek at his words.“Don’t
say that. I’m not giving up on her… I… I…I
know she can make it.” Sango stuttered through unshed hurt and defiant tears as
Miroku wrapped his arms around her tightly she whispered lightly into his
shoulder.“Miroku,
we’re not ready to lose Kagome…” Kissing
her forehead, Miroku loosened his embrace and pulled her away; brushing untamed
hairs from her swollen eyes.“Keep
watch over her, make sure that she doesn’t get worse okay?” Sango looked up at him with questions rising
in her widening eyes.“Where
are you going Houshi?” She was more that confused.“To get
some water… she needs to stay hydrated my love… Please just, stay here. She needs her best friend right now; even
though she cannot see that.” Sweeping his hand lightly across hers, he grabbed
the near empty buckets and traveled the short distance to the river.“Kagome
hold on, don’t you dare let go yet. I’m
not ready for you to leave; you were always there when I needed you. You are and will always be my best friend.”
Sango choked.What are you talking about Sango? I’m okay... Kagome tried to say fruitlessly.
The words would not form, her eyes refused to gape open… everything
seemed to be hazy and it seemed as if…She was drifting.
“Kagome
hold on… please…” Sango uttered in her repeated mantra. Again, Kagome attempted speech that refused
her so easily. Why can’t I talk? What’s wrong with me?
Kagome again tried to move, open her eyes, reach her hand to Sango…
but she couldn’t. What’s wrong with me, why can’t I move?“Oh
Kagome you cut yourself so much… Your body doesn’t have enough blood to
circulate to get you moving… please wake up.” The silent sobs of the strong Taijiya
belittled to nothing as Kagome gave into the impending darkness that so desperately
longed to consume her. Her last words
that play through her mind a mere image unspoken.Oh Kami… somebody please…help me…

I am sorry that her story hasn’t been updated too much lately… I've been moving
and thus its’ hella psychotic
around my family right now and I haven’t been able. School starts up for me again Wednesday…. I’ll
