Morning came and Sesshoumaru had managed to sleep a few hours of the night, when he wasn't thinking or worrying about his mate or his pup. At least he knew he didn't need to worry about his daughter, Or he might go insane. When had life become this complicated. Oh... That's right... Everything about dealing with the hanyou was complicated. Perhaps Inuyasha was right, He needed to calm himself and not worry so much. When had he become like this? He had always been a control freak. He had admitted that to himself a long time ago. But a worrier? He'd never been one. Not until now. He was becoming his father... He hated that, but did not know how to stop it.

He turned in the bed and looked to his sleeping, still gorgeous, angelic mate and just sighed. Gently he moved a few stray hairs off his face, and gently touched his ear feeling it's velvety softness, his hand caressed his cheek as he watched him sleep more. He had such a happy, peaceful expression on his face, that Sesshoumaru hoped he would always be like that. He'd do everything in his power to keep him like that. It was strange to think that he'd gone from wishing this being death, to now wishing he'd be happy and with him for ever. The fates where funny creatures.

A knock interrupted his thought and he looked towards the door. “Yes, Emily. I will be right out little one.” He said calmly, and got up from the bed. He looked over to Inuyasha and saw he wasn't going to wake up yet, so with a smirk he went off, took a shower. Combed his silk like silver hair, and after getting dressed into comfortable weekend clothes he went outside.

He saw his daughter in the kitchen and smiled that barely there ghost smile of his as he came over and kissed her forehead. “Good morning little one.” He said with a stoic tone as he went to the coffee maker and got a cup. He wondered mildly if it was automatic or if his daughter made the coffee as he sat down to read the newspaper, mostly the business news. “What are you planning for the weekend?” He asked watching her trying to make pancakes.

Emily looked innocently to her father. “Well... A bunch of kids are going to the mall... and I was wondering if I could go with them?” She asked giving him more of that innocent look as she batted her eyelashes at him.

“When?” Sesshoumaru asked still mostly reading the newspaper. He looked over when he heard work starting again on the addition and just ignored the construction noise. It was good that the crew always arrived on time and that the sound proofing was enough for Inuyasha's hearing.

“Later... I'm supposed to join the group, in like 30 min.” Emily said praying to god her daddy stayed asleep at least until after she left. She knew her daddy wouldn't let her go by herself. Since he'd know the group was just kids with no parents going with them.

“Very well. I expect you back by dinner time.” Sesshoumaru said with out worry of the consequences. Of course he hadn't really thought of them yet. In his mind this was his daughter and she could kill anyone who ever tried to come near her to harm her. She was old enough. By her age he'd been killing for years. He wasn't really wondering or worried about what sort of mess she could cause.

“Yay!” Emily said with lots of giggles. She ran over hugged her father and forgot about the breakfast. She just ran to her room to change and get ready.

By the time Inuyasha got up, got a shower, got dressed and went outside Emily was long gone. Happy that her plan had worked, and that her daddy had stayed asleep long enough. She knew she was going to get it when she came back home, but it didn't matter. Her father had even given him his credit card. It was going to be an amazing day, she loved having her father home sooo much. Her daddy had more to keep him busy, which meant she was off the hook. She loved it.

“Where's Emily?” Inuyasha said right off the bat as he looked in the kitchen at the half made batter for pancakes, and the half drunk glass of milk.

“She went to the mall with some friends. I told her to be back by dinner.” Sesshoumaru said with a very neutral, and a bit bored tone.

“Good crap....” Inuyasha said shaking his head and looking at Sesshoumaru. “I over sleep for an hour and all hell has broken loose. Ihope you realize you got played! By your own daughter!” He said shaking his head more and just starting breakfast for him and Sesshoumaru.

“How so?” Sesshoumaru asked now curiously looking up from his paper and looking to his mate.

“I wouldn't have let her go. The 'friends' she's talking about are probably the other youkai kids from the area. The nearest mall is in the other county. They run there through the woods, so humans won't see 'em. Just a pack of teenage youkai on the loose with no parental suppervision. Did you give her money?” Inuyasha asked.

“I still do not see the problem. When we were her age we did the same thing, and we're perfectly fine now; And yes I did. I gave her a credit card.” Sesshoumaru said looking to his mate.

“Great.... I hope she doesn't shop us into the poor house.” Inuyasha said putting some bacon into the frying pan, and just laughing. “And as for when we here kids... You know full well it was another era. I ran cause I didn't have a choice, and you ran cause you didn't wanna be around your cold ass mother, or the annoying court full of demons who wanted nothing more than your death so they could take power. So don't give me the 'she'll be fine' crap.” Inuyasha said calmly.

“It is not like anyone is going to hunt them and kill them Inuyasha. Calm yourself.” Sesshoumaru said going back to the newspaper and the coffee.

“This coming from the guy doesn't want to leave me alone for a second, and was afraid to fuck me last night for fear of harming a pup that isn't even the size of a grain of sand yet.” Inuyasha said with a smirk as he turned the cooking bacon with a laugh. The smell of the cooking meat filling the kitchen.

Sesshoumaru rolled his eyes. “That is different. Things can happen to the pup. But our daughter is more than old enough to learn to take care of herself. Besides she is the most powerful of the group she's in. I didn't pick up any powerful demon young at that school of hers. She's probably the alpha in that little pack.” Sesshoumaru said with a proud smirk.

“Yeah... That just worries more.” Inuyasha said sighing. “You got no idea what she's capable off Sess...” Inuyasha said sighing, putting the sausage to cook after he pulled the bacon out.

“I do, little mate. More than you realize. She promised me she would not hurt humans, and I trust her word. Do you believe she lied to me on that as well..?” Sesshoumaru asked looking over to the hanyou. Inuyasha looked to him, and thought about it.

“No, I guess not... Not in something like that if you where talking to her serious...” Inuyasha sighed and looked to Sesshoumaru. “But she is gonna shop like mad with that card of yours.” He said.

“It has a million spending limit. She'll be fine.” Sesshoumaru said. “I doubt there's anything around here expensive enough for her to spend that much on, and besides. That is only my pleasure card. It is hardly a dent in our fortune.” He said like it was nothing. But Inuyasha was looking at him like he was insane.

“I don't give her more than 40 to go out shopping with by herself... And you just... Good crap!” Inuyasha said shaking his head. “Sess....What the fuck!!”

“What could our daughter possibly buy that is worthy of her with 40 dollars?” Sesshoumaru asked calmly looking to Inuyasha. Not understanding his reactions to things. “It is only money Inuyasha. I make more of it every day.” He said.

“Yeah... But I don't want our kids growing up as stuck up brats who think they're better than the entire fucking world!” Inuyasha said starting to sound exasperated with Sesshoumaru.

“They are better. They are our children.” Sesshoumaru said causally.

“But they don't fucking need to act like it Sesshoumaru. Do you want everyone to hate her behind her back cause she's a stuck up bitch?!” Inuyasha asked looking to the demon straight on.

“They will do so either way, Inuyasha. There is no way to help it. She is who she is, and people will always hate those that are better than them. They will be jealous of her, and will want what she has.” Sesshoumaru said looking over to the cooking sausage. “You are burning breakfast.” he said.

Inuyasha turned and took it off with a sigh. “You can not protect her from the world Inuyasha. She is growing. The one you can protect like that now is the one growing inside of you. You will see, she will come home later, happy.” Sesshoumaru said looking up from his computer pad to his mate's back. “I would not have allowed her to leave alone if I had the most remote thought that she would be harmed, or that she would do something to harm our reputation. It will be fine.” Sesshoumaru added and watched his mate plop down breakfast on the kitchen island.

“You just better be right about this...” Inuyasha said serving himself a huge plate of bacon and eggs. “Dammed asshole! Should have woken my ass up!” Inuyasha said, the only thing stopping his ranting was when he stuck food in his mouth.

“Am I not allowed to make decisions for our children alone Inuyasha?” Sesshoumaru asked as he started eating gracefully. He tried not to look at Inuyasha's eating because he knew it would not be pretty to look at. Inuyasha just growled loudly at him but said nothing.

The rest of the morning was less than pleasant for either of them. Inuyasha did nothing more than pace and look out the windows. Around noon Sesshoumaru brought out the healer and allowed him to give Inuyasha a check up. It is growing but it's speed is lower than that of powerful youkai like yourself. But it is faster than a normal hanyou would develop. He watched the healer bow nearly 5 times to him before going over to the kitchen. “Don't look at me like that, I'm not gonna have him starving when there's plenty of food. He looked up without drinking as Sesshoumaru went over to the door, and opened it. When Inuyasha saw who it was he smiled. He smelled the wolf scent on her immediately so he knew it had to be the healer Kouga sent him.

The petite older looking lady bowed gracefully, blushing bright red cause she was standing in front of Lord Sesshoumaru, and she couldn't believe she was without being killed immediately. Though he was giving her 'I want to kill you' look.

“Healer Sochio at your service my Lords. My lord Kouga sends his warmest regards and wishes to your health.” She said as Sesshoumaru allowed her into the house. He saw how happy Inuyasha was just to have a wolf healer near. It made him raise an eyebrow. He knew his mate got along with the mangy things, but didn't realize he trusted and liked them this much.

Sochio looked over to Inuyasha as she walked further into the cabin, her old healer eyes taking stock of the pregnant hanyou. “My lord? Why do you wish to end such a healthy, powerful pup?” The healer asked with a confused tone.

“End?” Sesshoumaru asked coldly, with a hint of confusion. “Why would you say we wish to end it?” His eyes roaming from the healers, to his mate, then to the tea.

The healer looked from one lord to the other and then pointed to the tea. “It is a cleansing tea, my lords.” She explained looking even more confused. Inuyasha dropped the cup immediately, watching it break to a thousand pieces on the floor, the green liquid spilling near his feet. To him it looked like acid all of a sudden. He held his stomach protectively and just felt like he was going to throw up as the realization hit him. Sesshoumaru was at his side in seconds, wrapping a protective arm around him as he started crying and growling all at the same time.

“I knew I remembered that scent from somewhere... The time I spent with Kouga and his pack... The old healers would show me all the herbs, and that one was the one they kept away from everything else. They said it would cause a miscarriage if a pregnant woman or breeder drank it. But in a breeder a miscarriage would probable leave him barren if it was because of that tea.” Inuyasha explained to Sesshoumaru who just growled low in his throat.

The inu healer made a dash for the back door quickly, trying to get his old bones to move faster. He heard the angry loud growl of his master behind him, and heard the sound of the furry boa flying through the air before it grabbed him tightly by the waist and pulled him none to gently backwards. He groaned at the pain it caused him when it tightened and could only curse that dammed wolf in his mind, if she had only been a few minutes later he would have succeeded in ridding that hanyou of the male he carried. He couldn't allow something with hanyou blood to be the next Lord of the West. It was dishonorable. He cursed his master for having the same weakness as his father. After all these centuries he had thought the line proper and safe again. Then he had to come here and discover it was worse than he'd thought. His perfect, all mighty master was actually bedding and breeding his abominable hanyou brother. The thing that should have been killed at birth. As he was held in mid air by the claws of his master now around his throat he just stayed quiet.

Sesshoumaru was beyond angry. His eyes turned blazing red, his claws dripped poison onto the healer's skin. He bared his fangs as he was starring at the healer. “Did you think I was exaggerating with the words I spoke to you when you came?” He said as he growled. “Your stupidity knows no bounds, and the only reason your family will still breath is that my mate did not drink your swill.” The demon lord said with an angry tone, but one that lacked every other emotion except that one. He felt his mate in his arm just as angry as he was.

“Not in the house, Sess... Please...” Inuyasha said looking up to him. Sesshoumaru looked down to the hanyou. Blood red eyes still there, but the look calmed some what when looking at him. Inuyasha managed a calmer look when he saw how gently even a demonic Sesshoumaru looked at him when he was worried for his safety.

“Do you trust her?” Sesshoumaru asked looking to the female wolf, who at the moment was shivering like a leaf watching the angry lord of the West. Who the hell could blame her? After all would you want to be that close to him at a moment like that?

“They would never ever kill an unborn pup Sessh... Specially not mine, I know that. Kouga and Ayame would never send someone to me if they didn't trust her with my life.”Inuyasha said. Sesshoumaru looked to the wolf and nodded. “Stay here then. I will be back shortly.” Sesshoumaru said letting go of Inuyasha and then going towards the back doors.

“Wait a minute! I'm coming too, what the fuck! I was the one he wanted to hurt!” Inuyasha said growling and going to Sesshoumaru, who just turned and looked to his mate. The entire time the healer was basically choking while he dangled there. Not that anyone cared.

“No, my mate. You must stay here.” Sesshoumaru said strongly.

“I ...” Inuyasha growled out but was interrupted. “I will be using my poison Inuyasha. You can not breath that... You can not be near it.” Sesshoumaru said. Inuyasha growled and looked to the bastard healer.

“Why can't we just kill him another way?” Inuyasha asked growling.

“There is nothing more painful than my poison. You know that.” Sesshoumaru said, and kissed his mate's forehead. “Stay here Inuyasha.” He added with an ordering tone, and took off into the woods. It was difficult to do so, knowing he left his mate without his protection while he went to kill this bastard. Before he left he'd taken in the scents of the area, and smelled nothing else. So he knew it at least safe for the moment. Besides Inuyasha did still know how to protect himself.

Inuyasha meanwhile did growl, watching him. He wanted to kill the bastard himself. But.. If Sesshoumaru was gonna kill him with his poison, that was good too. That poison was lethal, but it was slow, at least by demon standards. While it melted something, the person was left feeling every hint of pain that entailed. It took almost a minute or two; And for anyone suffering from it, that was an eternity. Plus he knew Sesshoumaru, The demon lord knew how to prolong life when he wanted. That bastard would suffer, and he was only glad the demon's hatred was directed at him.

Inuyasha looked over to Sochio as he came back to the cabin's kitchen and started making dinner. “Need any help my lord?” The healer asked with a gentle smile. Inuyasha nodded and smiled to her as much as he could, though he didn't feel like smiling. “Ya know I knew your mom.” Inuyasha said.

“I know. She spoke of you often, with love.” Sochio said with a small giggle. “She said you where the hardest patient she'd ever had.” She added.

“Yeah, I'm glad I caused her such headaches, she was a hard ass healer.” Inuyasha said with a small laugh. “How's the wolf?”

“Very well my lord. He and his mate are up to their fifth litter soon.” Sochio said with a smile. “He was very happy that your Lord had finally allowed the mating to become final.”

“Yeah, he said so when we talked.” Inuyasha said with a smirk. “When you came you said... You said my pup was strong...and healthy... I didn't drink the tea but...”

“It still is my lord. Do not worry.” Sochio said. Inuyasha nodded and smiled softly rubbing the area under his stomach; and as he got dinner going, she went over with cleaning supplies, and made sure all traces of the tea, and anything that had touched it where gone from the cabin. After she went over and checked every piece of food in the house just in case. Inuyasha watched her as he cooked a huge pot of stew and potatoes. He sighed knowing it was going to be a very long pregnancy. After this Sesshoumaru would be even more protective of who he allowed around him.

P.S: Ok guys... If you want me to write the torture Sesshoumaru will inflict on the healer in the next chapter let me know... Otherwise I will skip most of it.
