Hi, dear readers of mine! Hope you all are having a wonderful friday!
I warn you to prepare your hearts though, because there are a lot of angst in this chapter, graphic violent scenes as well, but I believe that most of you may be already used to it by now, after so many chapters with a lot of drama, tears, a bit of blood and adult stuff. LOL!
Well, hope you'll enjoy the ride even so.
Have a nice reading ;)

Annabelle clenched her fists so hard that her nails almost sunk in her palms. Her lips contorted, taken by anger, sadness, indignation as the heart raced without her mind's consent.
Red eyes fell over her forms and a macabre grin grew larger on the arachnid's face.
"You must feel very self-confident to come in person instead of sending a puppet." Sesshomaru, the only one who has noted Naraku's presence there since earlier, spoke calmly low.
"Kaze no Kizu!" Inuyasha didn't wait to see where that conversation would lead. He retrieved his sword in just one jump, then the inuhanyo aimed the blow to his rival, just to realize that the Spider's barrier was still strong as ever. Soon, the violent windstorm which has hit the protective dome came back to it's origin and got divided in plenty other blows that revolved around random directions.
Sango, along with Miroku and Shippo, oriented Kirara to go the highest she could in the skies, Arurun did the same, keeping a safe distance from the sharpen winds. Sesshomaru dodged them while jumping around in supernatural speed. Inuyasha threw the upper part of his fire-rat robe over Kagome and carried the girl over his back, running fast to prevent being hit by his own sword's attack. Annabelle and Ailyn, on their turn, have been separated instantaneously. Each one was thrown to opposite directions when the blows ran close.
Dizzy, the red-haired lass lifted her head from the earth and, while trying to contain the many agitated hair's strands falling upon her face, she looked for her sister. Her gaze found Ailyn evolved by black and green mist, already on Naraku's height, staring at him without any weapon on her hands.
"You failed, Ailyn Rose" He mocked.
"You are the real culprit..." Furor and melancholy have restrained her fear. Clear eyes widened, showing their inner flame.
"You know you are no match for me," the spider folded his arms placidly.
"Ailyn, don't!" Annabelle managed to get on her feet, but not for long. Another intense wind blow came and she needed to throw her body to the side, evading from some rocks which were flying randomly around.
Hearing the ginger lass' scream, Naraku couldn't help his gaze to lock on her figure by the distance. His grin discretely lost it's lumen then.
The western blondie woman, instead of showing herself even angrier, bursted into laughing suddenly. She laughed scandalously loud, yet thin tears were pouring down the corners of her cheeks, washing the dark dirt away.
"What are you laughing at?" Suddenly stern, Naraku asked.
"You have failed as well." She answered convicted, making the enemy raise an eyebrow in response. "I may have lost Bankotsu, but there is one joy you cannot take from me, Naraku." Ailyn laughed again, although she was almost breathless already. The fog around her waved. After wiping the eyes, the lass concluded: "The joy of knowing that you will never get what you want, even if it seems to be at your fingers' reach." At last, she looked at her sister running desperately below, not achieving to take flight although surrounded by white light, for the stones carried by typhoons were constantly coming into her direction, forcing the White Rose to dodge.
"If you believe my greatest wish is having a woman, you indeed are a poor little thing." He coldly chuckled. "Now let's go on with it, do you know why I have come here?" His hand raised into her direction, it's palm turned up. Crimson pools locked with the shard shinning purplish on the Red Rose's forehead. "I came to retrieve something of mine."
"I was the one who brought him back." Laughing still, blind by the ache of vengeance, Ailyn revealed. "The son of a warlord that she loved so much, I have brought him to her." Then she roared.
Nothing more must sound from her lips, for that was everything Naraku needed to know about such despicable event. Not another word came from the venomous spider's mouth also. Though a dark shadow has fallen over his eyes, his grin didn't entirely fade.
As fast as a beam of light, a single strand of his hair looked to gain life and stretched into Ailyn's head direction. At this time, Annabelle was already in the air, almost reaching her sister. Then she could watch closely the black strand pierce her only family's forehead till it get out by the blond nape, spilling a small trail of blood, and ending up returning to it's origins, entangled with the jewel shard itself.
As soon as that thin black strand left the woman's head, her fall happened fast. Anna tried to follow but her sibling's body hit the ground before it could be reached by anyone's touch. For coming down from a considerable height, the sound of bones breaking with the impact has been loud as soon as Ailyn touched the soil. A hole opened under the shattered lass.
Kagome wasn't able to muffle a scream while seeking comfort into Inuyasha's protective arms. The inuhanyo, on the other hand, glared at Naraku with so much hatred in the eyes that his soul felt like burning inside. Rin has covered her eyes, nearly embracing an also astonished Jaken. Sango held Shippo against her chest, trying to spare the child to have a glimpse of the gore scene, and Miroku just hugged Sango, knowing she must be feeling terrified too.
Like in a certain time, the world seemed to spin in a numbing slowness to Annabelle. She barely noticed to land by Sesshomaru's side, so close that her shoulder bumped on his arm as she ran towards her sibling. While the daiyokai spun his body to glance at her, Anna threw herself on the ground, her knees dragged upon the earth till her arms reached the fallen woman. Without thinking, nor caring if a wind blade would strike her, she held her twin tight and bursted into tears, mourning screams came tearing her throat from inside. Ailyn's eyes were widened, looking yet alive, but the blood cascading from the back of her head was the confirmation that her life has escaped as fast as a ray and probably the lass didn't even notice it.
You have always been the strongest one, Ailyn. It was you from the beginning! Anna prayed that at least a thought her sister could listen wherever her soul might be wandering. Pain consumed the red-haired foreigner as a dagger spinning into her chest. A red light contoured her sister's hand which was adorned by a ring. While grabbing the lifeless broken body, she gazed at such dreadful shine and remembered the pact made by the blood of her blood.
Ailyn was condemned in death.
If Belle was already panicking, that made her mind collapse.
Not caring about the noises of Inuyasha and his friends now attacking Naraku above her head, she sought for concentration and soon her forms were evolved by clear light, her eyes turned fully white and a thread of energy flowed from her parted lips, getting inside Ailyn's throat.
At least you I must save!
Arms, legs, ribs' shattered bones began to regenerate, the little wound crossing the woman's head closed. Yet her eyes remained opaque and no air came out the pale nostrils.
"No, no!" Yelling, Annabelle shook the cold lass and then embraced her again. All she could hear was her own sobs, all she could see was an image of her sister as an innocent child, in a time before surrendering to Amelie's sweet talking. Anna had no idea of whatever was happening around and it didn't really matter. The realization that her gift wouldn't be enough to save her sister's soul was killing her inside. The feeling of impotence looked worst than previous times when she lost someone, first her mother, then her father, Kagewaki...
No, with Ailyn it must be different, or it would be the end of her!
Suddenly, the jewel shard pulsed into her skin, still darkened by the twisted emotions she has been feeding. As much as Annabelle hated to use that thing's power, it would be even more detestable to deal with the fact that her sister's soul could burn in hell for all eternity. Anna was unaware of her action's consequence and didn't spare much time pondering about it, her eyes simply sealed, a hand of hers rested over her own chest and when ginger eyelashes reopened, the inner globes weren't only white, but also they sparkled brighter than the most precious diamond. Each joint of her body revolved first, then stiffened. The clarity around the lass was more intense than ever, fastly it spread around, calming the sharpen winds caused by Tetsusaiga. Ailyn's body, which's head was sheltered over Annabelle's legs, has been completely swallowed by the blaze, as did the whole area where Mount Hakurei once has existed.
Any confront between Naraku and his foes ceased there, for the bright light was capable to disorient even the strongest yokai like Sesshomaru. Everyone covered their eyes and could only hear some growls, sounds of rocks being dragged and things growing, emerging from the earth that was shaking in agony. Such strange phenomenon endured for a long time, till the alabaster shine gave a turn to the rays of the sun.
They all slowly opened the eyes, gradually assimilating the new landscape ahead of their sight. What once have been a dark desert now was covered by grass, adorned by trees and bushes of all sorts, some of them that people could swear never seeing before on the Land of the Rising Sun. The extent of the mount's ruins and even the bony scythe stuck on the ground were graced by a shroud of whitish flowers where colorful butterflies hovered peacefully. Around the twins, a circle of white and red roses blossomed like a big garland.
"Was it day already?" Miroku felt so confused that couldn't remember for sure.
As soon as Kirara landed, Sango jumped on the soil and touched some plants to assure they were real.
"Incredible!" Rin said from above, while Jaken couldn't find words to express his astonishment.
Kagome gave the red haori back to Inuyasha and walked to Annabelle, the inuhanyo was so dumbfounded that just followed the girl a few seconds later.
Naraku and Sesshomaru's gazes were locked on Annabelle, both speechless. Even the Lord of Western Lands couldn't be so nonchalant contemplating such mysterious power.
However, when the traveller from the future was nearly touching Annabelle's shoulder, the once kneeling body fell laying on it's side.
"Anna..." Kagome leaned down, turning the foreigner up, then a chill ran her spine and the girl shook the unconscious woman. "Anna!"
A sudden drawing breath scared her even more, making Kagome almost jump behind. Ailyn's eyes, before blurred, resumed to twinkle and she blinked. The blond lass subtly sat, gasping. There was no ring in her little finger anymore. The shattered pieces of the green gemstone laid on the grass, the only sign of that jewel's late existence was a tenuous burning scar on it's place.
Kagome's almond eyes widened and she screamed. Inuyasha reached her back and his legs were embraced by her arms.
Naraku came down from the clear blue sky so he could have a better glimpse of what was happening, his precious rubies were also dilated. The spider already knew Annabelle had the power to revive the dead, yet only from hearing about. It was the very first time he had witnessed such miracle. And wasn't only Ailyn's life she has brought back, but also every extension of land once devasted has reborn from the ashes. One day no one would remember a battle had occured in there.
That was the extent of how powerful she could be, the Shikon's shard has worked as a mere detail and nothing more. Lost inside the deep admiration he was feeling, Naraku barely heard Sango, kneeling in front of Anna, saying:
"She isn't breathing!" The demon slayer passed a hand in front of the foreigner's nose, then touched one ear on Anna's chest. "S-she is gone!" Sango shouted, shivering.
Back to reality, Naraku sunk his feet on the flowery soil and saw himself paralyzed, just like in a time when he found her nearly drowning inside a river.
"Anna!" Kagome tried to administer cardiac massage, to no avail. "Anna!"
"Oh, no..." Miroku slid a hand over his forehead. "She gave her life in exchange of her sister's!" He gazed at Ailyn blinking while looking around, apparently confused.
Sesshomaru came closer, silently watching the situation.
"Anna-hime..." Shippo, on the monk's shoulder, covered his teary green eyes. "She didn't deserve it, it's all Naraku's fault!"
The spider hanyo never once cared for any word uttered by the little fox, till he hear that statement. Saliva went bitterly down his throat, his heart might be racing in disgust in some corner of the world, he was certain. Would it be the remaining yokai retorting within his body the cause behind his tremendous discomfort? If he was human, surely he would vomit, or worse, he would just faint right in front of his enemies. In that moment, Naraku cursed himself for having acquired enough strength to remain lucid while going through the worst of occasions. At last, he stared at Sesshomaru, who was in front of the highlander lass.
Arurun has already descended from the skies and was beside it's owner. Little Rin turned around the beast and kneeled next to Annabelle, holding one of her cold hands while Kagome was holding the woman's body, smoothing the foreigner's arms and squeezing them.
Nothing the girls were doing instigated any stimulation on the red-haired beauty who once has shared a bed with Naraku. Memories popped cruelly as earlier, forcing the arachnid to relive the moments they have cherished in the castle, not letting him give importance to Ailyn's harsh words about Kagewaki's ghost, even if they were said not long ago. Taken by a similar despair from when he almost lost Annabelle to death one time, Naraku vociferated:
"You idiot, do something!" He looked Sesshomaru directly in the eyes, his widened, crimson unblinkingly gems couldn't hide his tormented state. If whoever was around believed no new surprising event would come, obviously they realized that on that day nothing more was impossible to happen.
The daiyokai hummed, raising one eyebrow. He was known as someone who never followed anyone's orders.
Kagome was attentive on both, lesser bewildered than the rest of her friends though. To her, that whole madness seemed to make some sense, and totally ignoring who was the first to do the request, she just pleaded:
"Please, Sesshomaru, you're the only one who can save her, use Tenseiga!"
"Lord Sesshomaru..." even his grumpy servant couldn't restrain the emotion flowing into his big yellowish eyes, his reptile arms held firmly the wooden staff.
Everyone's expectations fell over the fellow who wasn't used to sympathize with others' suffering, at least that was what people thought of Sesshomaru.
Stern golden eyes lowered, rolling over every detail of the pale demised lass, stopping when staring at her face, marked by sorrow. Meanwhile, Ailyn was still sitting and looking around without focusing on any particular thing.
