Chapter 9: We Can’t Do This!
A/N: Kagome sobs to Sesshomaru that they cannot continue to act out their desires. She tells Sesshomaru thhe’she’s going to remain faithful to Inuyasha. Will Sesshomaru allow Kagome to walk away from him?
Since the night of Kagome’s birthday when she had allowed Sesshomaru to orally pleasure her things had not been the same. She found herself fantasizing more often about Sesshomaru. Kagome hadn ren realized that she ad begun closing her eyes when Inuyasha would make love to her so that she could imagine that it was Sesshomaru instead. She was married to quite possibly the sweetest and most kindhearted man in the world yet she was absolutely miserable. Kagome sank down into her large spa tub that was filled with vanilla and warm sugar scented bubbles. She laid her head against the small cream colored terrycloth spa pillow she had placed at the end of her tub.
Her blue gray eyes drooped shut and she slowly began to relax. Inuyasha had gone out of town on business with his father leaving Kagome home alone. Kagome’s tired eyes snapped open when her cell phone rang loudly beside her from it’s place on the edge of the bath tub. She groaned when she saw Sesshomaru’s name on the small screen. ‘ Damn him!’ Kagome carefully flipped open her phone and hit the green talk button. “Hello?”
“Kagome?”
“Who else would it be?”
“It’s Sessho-”
“I know who it is.”
“Kagome where are you?”
“Home.”
“Are you alone?”
“Yes. Why?”

“No Sesshomaru, you have to stay away from me.” Before she could say another word Sesshomaru abruptly hung up on her. Kagome sank dow down into her warm bubble bath and closed her eyes once more. Thinking that Sesshomaru had hung up on her because she hurt his pride she saw no reason to panic. Kagome jerked out of her light slumber by a loud pounding on her front door. “What the hell?”
She climbed out of the tub and quickly wrapped a white towel around her wet naked body. Careful not to slip down the stairs as she ran to answer the door Kagome quickly made her way to the door. Kagome threw open the door to find Sesshomaru standing on her doorstep. “Sesshomarhat hat are you doing here?”
“I told you Kagome, now let me in.” She stepped aside to allow Sesshomaru to come inside the townhouse. He allowed his golden eyes to roam Kagome’s body licking his lips as he noticed the white towel that was clinging tightly to her damp body.
“I’ll be right back Sesshomaru, just let me go put some clothes on.” Sesshomaru nodded antchetched the beautiful raven haired woman scamper up the stairs quickly. She then hurried back downstairs to find Sesshomaru holding a picture of her and Inuyasha on their wedding day.
“You looked lovely in your wedding dress Kagome.”

“It’s a shame you were arranged to marry my bastard younger brother Inuyasha.”
“Why are you saying that Sesshomaru? He is your brother.”
“Only by our blood ties are we actual brothers for in spirit we are no more related than you and I are. Kagome, you belong with me and should have married me instead of Inuyasha.”
“Well your father promised Inuyasha to me and my father promised me to him.”
“Leave Inuyasha Kagome.”
“To do what, be with you?”
“Yes, let me take care of you.”
“That can’t happen Sesshomaru and you know it. I’m married to Inuyasha and I do love him.”
“Do you love him Kagome, or is that what you’re telling yourself?”
“I love Inuyasha, perhaps not entirely as much as a wife is supposed to love her husband. But I do love him, and that’s all that matters.”
“Is it? I know that isn’t true Kagome, you love me as well.” She stared at Sesshomaru with wide blue gray eyes. “Tell me you don’t love me then Kagome.”
“Sesshomaru, don’t make me do this please.”
“You can’t say it can you?”
“No I can’t because I do love you. Sesshomaru, I love you more than I love my own husband, but we cannot be together. I think that you should go now.”
“Why, are you afraid we might do something?”
“Yes and it wouldn’t be right.” Sesshomaru pulled Kagome into his armd hed held her to him tightly.
“I’m not leaving Kagome.” Kagome could feel the tears that were burning in her eyes.
“Please just go Sesshomaru!”
“You’re not casting me out like you don’t give a damn about me Kagome, I won’t let you!” She could no longer hold her tears back so she buried her face in Sesshomaru’s broad chest.
“Why must you make things so difficult on me Sesshomaru? I love you, but I will not be unfaithful to Inuyasha! We cannot act out our lustful desires towards each other anymore!”
“No Kagome, I won’t let you throw us away! You’re mine damn it and I’ll be damned if I allow you to be a coward!” He pulled Kagome’s face up to his and crushed his mouth down upon hers harshly. Kagome felt his strong hands as they roamed quickly over her body. He broke the kiss and stared down at her. “You’re mine, do you understand?”
“Y-yes Sesshomaru.”
“Kagome, do something for me?”>
