Author Note: Happy St. Patricks Day! Sorry I wanted to put this out this morning so you guys had the whole day to read it, but well my whole day ended up busy. Grr. Anyway only 5 chapters left!

Chapter Nine

Before Kagome realized it, time had flown by and Kishi was about to be turning four. He still had yet to take human form again, but it made her think of how much time had passed and how much had happened during that time. Through it all she had never even celebrated her own birthday in that time nor had she really given her own son a little party to celebrate his passing years. She felt a little bad about it, but in this time no one really celebrated the day they were born. Still she felt she should, but then she had no one, but Sesshoumaru to celebrate it with.
She frowned a little at the thought as she sat on a cushion in the garden watching her son wrestle with one of the guards he had become attached to. It had been long over a year since she had lost the child she hadn’t known she’d been carrying and it had been that long since she and Sesshoumaru had been intimate. True that the first few months after she had lost the baby she hadn’t wanted to do anything sexual, but now she was more than ready. She had started with simple touching to give a hint what she wanted, when he didn’t seem to pick up on the hint she began to touch him more personally. When he had done nothing to show he cared or was interested she had taken it a whole step further to go to bed nude with him, but still nothing. About two months ago she had given up trying to get his attention and slept in her sleeping kimono once more. She had started to think that while he had said he was not mad at her for losing the child; he obviously was and now wanted nothing to do with her in ways of sex. It was true that she was still his unofficial mate, which she guessed meant, he could go to another female if he wanted to.
She gave a shuddering breath and that sudden thought, attempting to hold back tears that quickly had sprung to her eyes. She began to look around the garden; anything to stop her tears from coming out and eventually was able to succeed in holding them back. Looking at her son she saw he had stopped playing with the guard and was now watching her closely.
The guard stood up from his position on the ground, looking at her worried “are you alright my lady?” he was an inu youkai, much like the others that served, but instead of being black or silver or even white, he had long orange hair that was in a braid and yellow eyes. He had told her that in his true form his fur was the same color of his hair and his eyes became red. He was quite loyal to his lord and very kind to her. It was his behavior that made her think that was why her son seemed to like the youkai man and she had to admit, she found him nice to talk to as well. If you wanted him to keep a secret he would and he rarely talked back at anyone of higher rank unless he was determined to prove a point.
“Yes I’m fine,” she answered with a small smile “thank you, Yomi”
He smiled at her “I am here to serve you, be it for protection or simply to lend an ear when you need it”
Her smile grew slightly “and I appreciate it”
Yomi glanced at Kishi before approaching the female in front of him “forgive me if I seem to bold, my lady, but it seems in recent months that something is on your mind that is upsetting you”
“It’s nothing really” she insisted and gave her son a warm smile when he whimpered at her “I promise, I’m just over thinking on a few things”
“Perhaps if you spoke your thoughts you would not over think things” he replied.
She stood up and quickly wiped some dirt from her blue kimono “no it wouldn’t help and I mean no insult, but I’d rather not discuss it”
Yomi gave a small bow “if that is your wish my lady”
“It is” she looked to her son “I’m going to the library to read, you can stay out here and continue to play if you want”
Kishi whined and looked at the inu guard, giving him a nudge with his head.
Yomi gave a nod “it is fine with me, young lord”
Kagome had to laugh softly. The guard seemed to read her son almost better than she could…perhaps that is why her son got along with him. Turning she began to walk inside and heard her son bark before joining her at her side. She sighed. Her son had been a dog for such a long time, but he still never wanted to leave her side. She looked at him “you don’t have to follow me everywhere. You will be bored in the library with me”
He whined at her as he looked up at her.
“I’m not angry that you want to be with me” she spoke as she walked down the halls towards the library “I’m just thinking that you would have more fun playing than sitting with me. A child your age should want to play”
Kishi growled and barked at her.
She paused as the door to the library and bent down to kiss his head “well do what makes you happy. I love you no matter what” she then went and opened the door, nodding her head to a servant. It had taken time, but Sesshoumaru had shown her what was necessary to show she was above the others that walked in the fortress. In the beginning some of the servants had been laughing behind her back simply because she was human and had often stated that there was no way she could have bore the lord of the west an heir. Unfortunately for them, Kishi had heard and had attacked them in a snarling frenzy. Since then no one said anything bad about her while in her…or her son’s ear shot. She then felt it best that she act the part of a lady of high status and since doing so, she had had no further problems.
Walking, she made her way to a small corner in the room where a small pile of cushions sat. There she sat and picked up the book she had been reading earlier. She felt a weight settle beside her and knew it was her son. She had found reading to herself while he was next to her just wrong. She felt like she was ignoring him, so she had taken to reading aloud to him so he could hear. Finding her place from where she left off she continued to read to her son.

Meanwhile, out in training yard, Sesshoumaru was watching his guards battle each other and growled. Without warning he quickly joined them and with little effort his men lay at his feet, groaning in pain. Hearing movement behind him he turned to see his son’s favored guard walking towards him.
Yomi stopped a few feet in front of him and bowed “my lord, might I have a word with you…in private”
“Very well” the taiyoukai consented, annoyed. He had the guard follow him into the fortress and into his study. He took a seat while his guard closed the shoji door “what is it you want?”
“It’s about your mate, my lord” he began.
Sesshoumaru narrowed his eyes “and what about my mate? Are you not supposed to be attending to my son with his training?”
Yomi gave a nod “he is with his mother in the library, my lord, I come on behalf of your son”
“Continue then”
“He is quite worried about his mother” the guard replied “he follows her constantly out of worry for her health”
The taiyoukai growled “I’d like to remind you I see my mate nightly, she has looked perfectly fine to me. What has changed since this morning?”
Yomi took a small breath, feeling more nervous than he was letting on “it is not her physical health, but her mental health my lord. She does not seem as happy as she was when she first arrived here. She seems distant and does not hold that happy energy she had. Today, out in the garden, I caught her with tears in her eyes…though she did not let them fall and insisted it was nothing” he paused for a moment to see if his lord would say anything, when he didn’t, he continued “though Kishi can’t speak with the human tongue yet, through his body language, he is clearly concerned about her. It was our hope that you knew what was wrong and if there was something any of us could do to cheer her up”
Sesshoumaru was silent for a few moments while he stared at the guard “leave”
Yomi hesitated for a moment before he sighed and gave a nod “yes my lord” and left the room.
That night, Kagome stayed with Kishi until he was asleep. When she was sure she got up from his futon and left his room. She walked to the next room and saw that Sesshoumaru had not returned yet from working in his study. Giving a sigh she went and changed into a night kimono. Looking around she gave another sigh. Technically she was married because she was the mate…. unofficial mate of Sesshoumaru. Nearly four years of being together and he had yet to make her an ‘official’ mate, but because she was an unofficial mate…did that mean he was free to sleep with other women? Surely he must be. He is a man and all men want sex. There is no way he has been celibate for over a year.
Shaking her head and holding back tears she laid down and covered herself. Naylor and Edoksu were wrong when they told her how much he cared about her. Or maybe it was because he didn’t want to touch her, maybe he felt her unworthy after losing their second child. Blinking her eyes she wiped a stray tear and curled up her body into a fetal position. Why wouldn’t he touch her any more? She soon found herself sobbing as quietly as she could.

A few minutes later she heard the shoji screen being opened and quickly buried her head in the blanket and pillow. She could only hope he wouldn’t be able to tell she had been crying.
“Mommy?”
Kagome peeked her head out and saw a small boy hugging the screen door. His tiny hands had small claws and he had silver hair down to his shoulders. He had blue eyes that looked at her with sadness, but she found herself sitting up and holding out her arms with a bright smile on her face despite her tears “hi Kishi”
He smiled at her and ran into the room, wrapping his arms around her neck; naked as the day he was born. After a moment he leaned back at looked up at her and wiped away some of the tears she had “don’t cry mommy”
“I’m sorry if I’m making you worry” she spoke as she held him close “but I’m okay, I promise”
“It’s not good to lie, mommy” he replied.
She gave a soft laugh, “no it’s not, I’m sorry, but I’ll be alright”
He reached up and touched her cheek “why are you sad?”
“It’s nothing for you to worry about” she insisted “you’re too young to understand anyways” she pulled away from him a little and kissed his head “come on, let’s get you back to bed before your father finds you here”
Standing up, Kagome carried her son in her arms back to his room. There she laid him down and covered him up after getting him some night clothes to wear “goodnight Kishi”
He grabbed her hand “stay”
“I’ll stay until you fall asleep,” she said as she moved to lie beside him.
He glared and shook his head “no, stay with me”
She giggled at how cute he looked mad and kissed his nose “but I have to go. Mommy’s sleep with Daddy’s”
“Daddy makes you sad” he stated.
She looked at him with a frown “what makes you say that?”
“You don’t smell like daddy” he answered and nuzzled into her chest “want you here with me”
Kagome wasn’t sure what she should say so she decided not to say anything and nodded to her son. It seemed her son was a little more mature and smart for being four. As mature as he seemed she knew no matter what he wouldn’t understand what was involved that made her…smell like Sesshoumaru. Sighing she held her son close and before she realized it, she’d fallen asleep.

About an hour later, Sesshoumaru entered his room. Immediately he noticed the absence of his female and growled darkly. Leaving the room after changing into his sleeping attire, he walked one room over and opened the door to his son’s room. There he saw her sleeping soundly with their son that had changed back to human form, narrowing his eyes he moved to wake her. A second later he felt a sting in his hand and pulled it back to see it bleeding. He looked back at the futon to see a pair of eyes staring back at him “you dare strike your father?”
“My mommy” Kishi growled at his father.
“My mate” Sesshoumaru growled back.
The young boy carefully moved out of his mother’s grasp, so not to wake her. He then stood up, glaring “my mommy, she sad. She stays with me” he glanced back at her “she’s sad again” he growled at his father once again “you hurt her! You stay away from my mommy!”
The taiyoukai snarled as his eyes flashed red “you cannot keep me from my mate boy”
“She is staying with me” Kishi replied as he bared his teeth “I will smell no more of mommy’s blood”
Sesshoumaru gave no reply as he stared at his female and caught the sight of tears that had yet to dry up “she was crying”
The young pup nodded “you make mommy sad and when she sad she smells of blood”
“I’m taking her back,” he stated, calmly.
“No!” the boy answered in an angered whisper so not to wake his mother “I will smell no more of mommy’s blood!”
Never taking his eyes off his female, he replied “no, I will allow no more blood from her”
Kishi grew quiet as he stared at his father for a moment “she doesn’t smell like you anymore. I think that makes mommy sad”
“I will make her happy again”
“She will smell like you again?” he asked, curious. When his father did not answer, but moved to touch his mother, he growled and aimed for his father’s face.
Sesshoumaru caught his son’s hand and squeezed it until the pup whimpered, “you will never strike me”
“Mommy is mine” he growled and whimpered when the grip on his hand tightened once again.
“She is mine,” the taiyoukai growled as his eyes flashed red again “she was mine before she was yours, do well to remember that, son” he released his grip and gently shook her.
Kagome groaned as she woke up and felt a hand on her shoulder. Sleepily she looked up and gave a confused look “Sesshoumaru?”
“Come to bed” he said, calmly “it is late”
Sitting up, she shook her head “I told Kishi I would sleep with him tonight”
“It okay mommy” Kishi said as he lay down “you go sleep with daddy”
She frowned at him “if you’re sure”
“I am” he smiled at her “love you mommy”
She smiled “love you too my Kishi”
“Goodnight mommy” and reached out his arms.
She leaned in and hugged him back “goodnight son” standing up she followed the taiyoukai out of the room to their room. Once in there she got into bed, lying on her side and away from him, closed her eyes, and began to fall asleep once again.
“Kagome”
She kept her eyes closed and mumbled out a “what?”
“Are you happy?” he asked.
Opening her eyes she was silent a moment “yes”
He forced her to her side to lay on her back with a growl as he stared at her “you’re lying”
She frowned and turned her head away “just leave me alone”
“Not until you explain yourself,” he stated with deadly calm.
“Why do you care?” she shot back as she tried to move away from him.
He was quick to move above her “tell me what upsets you”
She looked at him with a glare “leave me alone”
“Tell me,” he growled.
She was silent a moment before sighing and looking away, trying to fight back her tears she felt coming “it’s you”
“And what have I done to upset you?”
She sniffled as some tears escaped and answered quietly “you don’t touch me anymore”
“I am touching you now, woman” he stated.
“No” she said, shaking her head “you aren’t…intimate with me anymore”
He leaned down and rubbed his nose against her cheek “I was not aware that you were ready to be with me again”
“I’ve been ready for awhile” she replied, quietly “I thought touching you and even sleeping naked would have told you enough that I was ready”
He nipped her neck “I wanted you then, however I was still uncertain you were ready for me”
She looked at him “you didn’t give any indication you were interested”
“I did not want you to think that is what is always on my mind” he answered, “I didn’t want you to feel pressured if you were not ready”
“Oh” she said, feeling totally stupid. All this time she thought he didn’t want her he actually had. He had been waiting for her to say it was alright, not hint that it was okay because he did not want to be wrong and make her think that sex was always on his mind when he figured she was still grieving over the lost pup. She reached up and touched his cheek “I’m sorry, I’ve been foolish”
He moved his lips to her ear as he pulled on the tie of her kimono “take this off and get on your hands and knees” he spoke huskily as he backed off of her “you’ve just lost a night’s sleep”
Kagome shivered, but not from the cold as she removed her robe. Excitement of what was to come is what had her shivering. Once the kimono was off she got up and moved to her hands and knees. She heard clothing rustling behind her and knew he was stripping himself of his pants till he was nude. It wasn’t long after that until she felt something poking at her opening and she moved closer to him. She heard him growl and push his length until his head entered her body’s warmth before he slammed the rest of himself inside her causing her to cry out and him to groan. The feeling of having him inside her once again felt wonderful and she was happy to have him there yet again after so long. It also made her have a sudden thought…a sudden want “Sesshoumaru?”
“Hnn” he replied to let her know he heard her.
“I want another baby,” she declared.
Though she couldn’t see it, his eyes widened “you want me to pup you?”

“M’kay” she replied, tired and fell asleep instantly.

A few hours later, Kagome woke up feeling stiff. Shuffling around she groaned as her muscles complained at the movement. She then felt an arm wrapped around her and she smiled, mumbling out “morning”
“Afternoon would be the appropriate time of day” he replied.
“Afternoon then” she said.
He leaned in and nibbled on her ear “come, let us bathe”
“Alright” she said with a nod “if it’s afternoon then Kishi’s been awake for awhile, where is he?”
“He has been given breakfast and is currently out with Yomi” Sesshoumaru informed her.
Moving to sit up she nodded, but then felt he was still in her. Feeling herself grin she moved to pull out and gasped when he tightened his arm around her and thrusted himself back in. She moaned when he did it again “I thought we were going to bathe”
He leaned into her ear and spoke with a husky tone to his voice “we are” and then he slowly pulled out of her.
Kagome sighed as she stood up “tease”
He walked over and placed an arm around her “I’ll finish with you in the bath”
She smiled and turned to look at him “then let’s go” she noticed his eyes seemed softer than they usually did and it gave her pause for a moment until he headed for the shoji door and opened it.
Thinking nothing more of the look she quickly followed after him and together they walked down the stairs, along the hallway, around the corner, and threw a shoji door that lead them to a secluded outdoor hot spring. Once the door was close she stripped down to nothing as she remembered back to when Sesshoumaru told her that he had this hot spring put in specifically for them and their children to use and no others. She looked over at him to see that he was now completely nude and watched him enter the spring with fluid grace even though he only had the one arm. Calmly she entered, enjoying the feel of the hot water on her skin, and made her way over to him. She eyed his muscular chest and then the shoulder that had a stub of what was left of his arm, slowly she reached out and touched it “do you miss it?”
“I underestimated my brother,” he stated as he looked at where his arm used to be “this is the repercussion of my mistake”
“Do you miss having both arms?” she asked.
He leaned down and used his arm to lift her up and slide her on to his growing member before lifting her up and bringing her back down. Hearing her cry out, he repeated the process a few more times increasing his pace till he was ramming his cock deep within her warm walls. A few minutes later he pulled out of her body and they finished bathing. After they dressed in clean clothes that a servant had brought them they got lunch and then while Sesshoumaru went to his study to work, Kagome went out to the gardens to see her son practice fighting with Yomi.
Kishi growled when Yomi blocked his punch “no fair”
Yomi chuckled “don’t think I’ll let you win simply because you’re heir to the west. You need to learn to fight right or you’ll die”
The boy narrowed his eyes and relaxed his stance before turning his head “mommy”
“Hi Kishi” Kagome smiled brightly.
He immediately ran and wrapped his arms around her waist, burying his head as far into her stomach as he could “you smell like daddy again”
She looked off to the side with a blush staining her cheeks “yes I do” she said quietly, a little embarrassed that the guard could hear.
“You happy now” he stated.
“Yes I am” she replied, “now go play”
Kishi smiled and tugged her hand “come play mommy, want to play with you”
Kagome nodded “okay, what do you want to play?”
“With you” he answered simply.
She giggled and realized she was being a little dumb. Her son wouldn’t know any kid games since he had been a dog so she hadn’t taught him some of the games she knew, but she guessed she needed to teach him some now. Thinking about it she figured she should teach him games that could help him better in training. She looked at her son “we could play hide and seek or tag”
Yomi raised an eyebrow, confused “what are those games?”
“Hide and seek is a game where one person has to cover their eyes and count to a decided number” she explained “while the person is counting everyone else playing has to find a place to hide before the person counting is done. Then that person who was counting has to find everyone. The last person found is the hide and seek winner” she finished “normally they make the first person found the next counter, but in some cases it can also be the last person found”
Yomi smiled “how interesting, it would certainly help in teaching a pup to hide his self properly and making it fun to learn as well. Now explain tag to me”
Kagome picked up her son and he wrapped his arms around her neck “well one person is picked to be ‘it’. Everyone wants to avoid the person who is it”
“Why?” Kishi asked.
“Because if that person touches you then you become it,” she answered “and to keep it fun you can’t tag the person who’s just tagged you, it’s also so they can have a small break and it helps keep the game going for longer”
The guard grinned “an interesting game as well. Helps a pup learn to elude someone who maybe out to get him and keeps him in shape”
She nodded and looked at her son “so which game do you want to play?”
“Tag!” he yelled out happily.
Yomi laugh as he watched the young pup get set to the ground then realized the only people the pup would have to chase would be him and his mother. In no time that would bore the young pup “wait right here a moment”
Kagome watched, confused, as the guard ran off “where is he going?”
“Down mommy” ordered Kishi.
She laughed and set him down to let him run about. After a few minutes she saw Yomi return, but not alone. With him he brought a three female servants and three other guards as well “what’s all this?”
“I figured the more the merrier” Yomi laughed “I didn’t think it would be much fun if he only had to chase the two of us”
“Excellent idea Yomi!” she exclaimed happily “okay then let’s play”
Quickly she explained the rules of the game to the guards and servants. Once they understood the game was started with Yomi being the first person it. For the first bit he chased everyone to get them running before he eventually tagged the young pup.
Kishi growled at being caught, but then he went after a guard till a servant crossed his path and he changed direction once to get the servant. For some time he couldn’t seem to catch anyone until he caught sight of his mother. After a moment he realized she didn’t notice he was so close by. Immediately he picked up speed and ran around a tree so his mother couldn’t see him and touched her leg from behind “got you!”
Kagome gasped and spun around “you did!” she laughed and then went running after a servant that ran by her, catching the woman on the arm.
The servant looked shocked at the action and then smiled, eying the young heir “I’m going to catch you” she declared as she began running after the pup.
Kishi didn’t seem at all happy about having to run again, but soon he was squealing and laughing as he out maneuvered the servant, making her give up and catch a guard that had been looking around, confused as to who was it until he was touched.
The game continued on for most of the afternoon until another servant arrived telling Kagome that the taiyoukai wanted to see her, privately. She had excused herself from the game and left to the study. There she knocked and entered where she saw the inu demon sitting at his desk “you wanted to see me”
Sesshoumaru did not look up from the scroll he was writing, “come here”
Slowly she approached till she was in front of his desk “yes?” she frowned when he pointed next to him. Not asking, she did, as he wanted. Opening her mouth to speak she suddenly found herself on her back on his desk, kimono open, with him on top of her and something long and hard ramming into her body. She about to ask him what he was doing when she heard him snarl and saw his red eyes as he began to furiously rock his hips back and forth, causing him to continuously ram deep within her, making her cry out from the intense feeling he was causing her and gripped his shoulders.
Roughly Sesshoumaru pounded into his female and making her scream and moan. His thrusts were strong as the grounded his hips as hard and as fast as he could. He grunted and snarled when he felt himself knot within her body. He leaned over and took one of her breasts into his mouth, teasing the nipple until it hardened and then biting it, being careful not to break the skin. After a moment, Kagome was able to talk, though her voice sounded dazed “what brought that on?”
For a few moments he said nothing, but simply nuzzled her neck “I wanted you”
“I’ve never seen you so… impatient before” she commented as she tried to look at him, which was hard to do with him next to her neck.
He lifted his head to look at her, his eyes golden once again “I am working to get you pupped”
She felt herself grin, “yes I know, but why did you need to see me?”
He growled and nipped her bottom lip “I have already told you”
“So you called me here because you were horny?” she questioned with a bright smile “I won’t complain then”
He looked down at her and gave another thrust before moving to sit in his high cushion with her on top of him “ride”
She blushed. Even though this was not their first time having sex, hearing him talk like that… it was still strange to hear. Slowly she lifted herself up and then moved down. She did this a few times until she got the hang of moving on top of him and then moved faster until she heard him give a grunt. Smiling, she stared at him as he watched her move on his still knotted member. After a few minutes of keeping a steady pace, she felt his arm go around the back of her waist and he started using his strength to get her to go faster and harder on his length. She breathed out a moan and thought to how much her life had changed. She was a mother, something she still found hard to believe, but something she’d also come to accept and was happy to be. She never ever thought that the father of her children would end up being Sesshoumaru of all people. The thought had never crossed her mind of him being a possibility, but now it was not only a possibility, but now a reality.
Sesshoumaru grunted deeply as he gave a sharp thrust upwards and released his seed.
Kagome sighed and rested her head on his shoulder, closing her eyes. She couldn’t help, but feel safe. A knock at the door caused her to jump and attempt to move away, but unfortunately the taiyoukai was stuck within her body.
The inu demon nudged her head to get her to look up. He then closed her kimono as much as possible before wrapping his arm around her and pulling her tightly against him as his voice calmly spoke out “enter”
A female servant entered, but kept her eyes lowered to the floor “forgive my intrusion my lord and lady, but I was sent to tell you that supper is nearly ready”
“Very well” Sesshoumaru responded, emotionlessly “make sure my son knows as well”
“It has already been done, my lord” she said with a bow and then left the room.
Kagome blushed “what an embarrassing situation to be caught in”
“Nothing will be said,” he stated with a matter of fact tone.
“You don’t know that” she replied, her cheeks red “servants can gossip”
He loosened his grip on her “the servants here know to keep their mouths shut about anything they see or hear or they will die at my hands”
“How comforting to hear” she said, sarcastically. When she felt him nip her neck she quickly put her hands on his chest and gave a small push “easy boy, I don’t need you getting excited again. We’re suppose to go for supper”
Sesshoumaru growled and nipped her jaw line “very well, we shall continue this later”
“I’d love nothing more” she smiled and kissed his lips “think I can pull away now so we can go eat?”
He gently lifted her till she was completely off of his softening cock “come, let us leave”
During supper, Kagome listened as Kishi told her what happened after she left. She laughed as her son explained as best as he could and wished Shippo could have been there to join her son. Letting her son finish speaking, she turned to look at the taiyoukai and grew nervous. She remembered that he had agreed, but she was still nervous to bring up the topic again.
Sesshoumaru turned and looked at her “what is troubling you?”
“Nothing” she answered, a little hesitant she began to say was on her mind “well I was just thinking, Kishi has taken human form and I was wondering if we could go see my friends for a few days. I haven’t seen them since Kishi was born”
After a few moments of silence the taiyoukai put his focus back on his meal “send a message that we will be there in two months”
“Two months?” she repeated “why so long?”
“I have to see that my lands are handled while we are away,” he explained “I cannot just leave my duties unattended”
“Wanna go play?” Kishi’s voice interrupted them.
Kagome looked to see he had finished eating “okay, go play with Yomi” she watched her son leave before looking back at him “it takes two months to plan to leave?”
“Don’t you want to tell your friends you’re expecting?” at her nod, he continued, “in over a month we shall know if you carry. I have agreed to allow you to see your companions before and I will not go back on my word”
Kagome threw her arms up with a joyful squeal and wrapped them around his neck, kissing his cheek repeatedly while saying “thank you!” in between. When she calmed a little, she pulled back and blushed “sorry”
“Tonight” he said huskily, his voice full of promise.
It was a promise he kept. Shortly after Kishi was put to bed, Kagome was quickly whisked to their room. The whole night Kagome was kept awake by the taiyoukai’s voracious appetite and stamina. Moans, groans, growls and grunts could all be heard coming from their room throughout the night and until early morning when Kagome had finally begged the taiyoukai to allow her to sleep. After another two rounds of rutting, he finally consented and allowed her to sleep.
The next day, Kagome wrote a letter to tell her friends when they would be coming to visit before going out and spending her time with her son. This time they ended up playing hide and seek for most of the afternoon until Kagome was once again summoned to the lord’s study. This time he went three rounds before they were told of supper being ready. After supper, Kagome spent some time with Kishi before putting him to bed and losing yet another night’s sleep.

A month of losing many nights of sleep with the taiyoukai pouncing the miko nearly every single night, Kagome felt exhausted. She had even come to taking naps, which made her feel bad since she didn’t feel she was spending enough time with her son. Her son though surprised her by telling her it was okay because he knew that her and Sesshoumaru were working to give him siblings to play with. He didn’t seem to know how it was done, but that both mommy and daddy were needed and for that she was thankful. She wasn’t sure she was ready to explain the birds and the bees quite yet.

During the second month, Kagome couldn’t help the relieved feeling she felt when the taiyoukai began calming down from his sexual high and she was able to get some sleep at night. Of course getting more sleep she was once again able to spend more time with her son, but was still called away before supper to satisfy her mate’s urges. The word mate still brought a sigh to her lips, as she would then remember that technically she was still Sesshoumaru’s unofficial mate, but she was nervous about bringing it to his attention so she had never asked if he was ever going to make it official.
“I’m out for this round” Kagome called out as she sat down on the walkway that had been made around the fortress though to her it seemed more like a really long deck, but it was a nice place to sit down. She turned her head when she saw a servant come out of the fortress to enter the garden.
“Can I get you anything my lady?” the young demoness asked.
Kagome didn’t think she’d ever get used to be called a lady or being treated like royalty, but she played the roll “no, thank you” she watched the woman nod and leave. Leaning herself against one of the beams she watched her son playing duck, duck, goose with some of the servants and Yomi. Smiling when Kishi waved in her direction, but sighed when he looked away. It had been nearly two months since Sesshoumaru started working on getting her pregnant and still no signs that she even was pregnant. She wondered how he’d know she was pregnant after only two months, but had never thought to ask and soon they would be going to see her friends.
“Are you alright my lady?”
Kagome looked up to see an old female servant looking at her with concern “yes I’m fine”
She smiled “you don’t seem your self my lady”
“I’m just lost in thought I guess” she replied with a shrug.
The servant gave a small nod “I’ve never seen you so lost in thought before. It made me think that perhaps it was that time of the month for you”
Kagome gave a small laugh “no it’s not I haven’t had it…” she trailed off as she tried to think when the last time she had her period was and frowned.
“Is something wrong?”
Her eyes widened and she shook her head with a bright smile on her face “nope not a thing” she quickly stood up “if Kishi asks where I am, tell him I just had to see his father” and she then ran into the home.
Kagome ran through the halls as quickly as she could, barely noticing as the servants hurried to get out of her way. Turning a corner she made her way to the study where she entered without knocking, stopping when she saw the taiyoukai wasn’t alone. Sitting across from him was a male youkai, staring at her with light purple eyes and had long dark purple hair. Blushing she bowed her head as she tried to regulate her breathing “forgive me for intruding”
“Is there something wrong?” Sesshoumaru asked.
She stood straight and shook her head “nothing is wrong, but could I speak with you a moment?”
The youkai stood up “impeccable timing my lady” he said with a bow “we have just finished business” he looked back to the taiyoukai “I will go ahead and make the preparations”
Sesshoumaru gave a nod “I will leave it to you then”
The youkai nodded and left for the door, pausing to bow to Kagome “my lady” and then he left.
Kagome turned to watch the male leave. Who was that? She had never seen him before…at least she was pretty sure.
“What was it you wanted?”
Turning back she faced the demon lord “I’m late”
He raised an eyebrow “I was unaware you had somewhere to be today”
She walked up to him and shook her head “no” she looked at him seriously “I’m late” when he remain silent she decided to elaborate “I missed my last period”
“Come here” he ordered emotionlessly, never taking his eyes off her as she moved around the desk till she was standing next to him. In one quick movement he had her in his lap “are you attempting to tell me you are now carrying my pup?”
She grinned and nodded as she wrapped her arms around his neck “yes I believe I am” she then placed a kiss on his lips “it came to my attention that I haven’t had my period in over a month and that has never happened to me before, so I must be”
He gave a nod as his hand began to touch her stomach “in one week we will leave to see your friends”
“Mommy”
Both parents turned to see Kishi had entered the room. Kagome smiled at him “yes?”
“Why did you leave?” he asked with a frown.
“I’m sorry Kishi” she apologized “but I had to talk with your father”
The young pup walked up to them “you come play now?”
“Okay I’m coming,” she answered as she started to get up.
Sesshoumaru growled and forced her back on his lap “no”
“Want mommy to play with me!” Kishi yelled as he stomped his foot.
“She cannot” the taiyoukai replied simply.
Kagome looked at him, confused “and why not? There’s nothing wrong with me”
“Only that you are carrying my pup” he stated.
She glared “I’m pregnant, it doesn’t mean I’m incapable of doing anything”
“Want mommy to play with me!” Kishi yelled again when he felt he was being ignored.
Sesshoumaru looked at him and snarled “no”
“Yes!” the pup shot back.
“Kishi” Kagome called out to him calmly “don’t talk back to your father” she then looked back to the taiyoukai “but answer me, why can’t I play with our son?”
“Do you want to lose another pup?”
She tensed. No, no she didn’t want to lose another child.
“We want to limit the risk of a miscarriage,” he said as he stroked her stomach “so it would be wise not to over exert yourself”
“I won’t” she agreed “but I don’t feel right to just stop playing with our son”
“I want to play with mommy” Kishi voiced, saddened “why can’t I play with mommy?”
Kagome slowly got up from Sesshoumaru’s lap and went around his desk to kneel in front of their son “I’m sorry Kishi. I guess I won’t be able to play like before, but we’ll find other games to play”
He frowned “why can’t you mommy?”
“Because it looks like I’m going to be having a baby,” she explained.
“A baby?” he repeated.
She smiled and nodded “yes, you’re going to get a little brother or sister”
His eyes widened and he smiled “I’m going to be a big brother?”
“Yes you are” she replied and gave him a hug.
Kishi quickly pulled away “where is the baby? Can I see it?”
She laughed a little “you can’t see the baby yet”
He frowned “why?”
“Your brother or sister is growing in your mother’s stomach” Sesshoumaru answered.
“They are?” Kishi wondered as he looked at his father “how do they get out?”
“The same way you did” Kagome answered.
The young pup looked at her stomach “I was in there?”
“Yup” she replied, “you grew in my tummy till you were ready to come out”
“Will it hurt you mommy?” he asked, worried “will you die?”
She smiled “I didn’t die with you. I will be fine”
“Will it hurt?”
Kagome held back a frown as she remembered the pain she felt when he was born. She didn’t want to scare him, but she didn’t want to lie either “only a little bit”
Kishi’s frown grew “I hurt you?”
“It happens when having a baby” she explained “but it’s worth it when I get to see you”
He smiled and wrapped his arms around her “I love you mommy”
“I love you too,” she said, hugging him back.
Kishi pulled away and walked around the desk to stand next to his father “I love you to daddy”
Sesshoumaru said nothing, but placed his hand on his son’s head and rubbed it, which made his pup smile at him.

Author Note - Yay! Kagome's pregnant again. hmm Sesshoumaru didn't seem as cold this time around, did he? Well still plenty more to happen, but I wonder what? Hmm that'll be something to think over. Anyways let me know how you thought this chapter went.
