Ch.9... War & Birth

For a whole two months Princess Chie had gone around all of the lands of Japan. Recruiting strong demons who had the stupidity to think they could kill Sesshoumaru. There was everything from boar demons, to cat in her small army. She had enticed them all with promises of being theirs once Sesshoumaru was dead and she was the Lady of the West. Who ever killed Sesshoumaru, got her. She had no intentions of doing that of course. She just needed them as bait. A distraction to keep Sesshoumaru busy while she got into the castle and killed off that dammed hanyou of his. Never mind how dammed pregnant he was. She'd seen him walking around the gardens with Sesshoumaru and the healer in tow. Just laughing while Sesshoumaru spoke. It annoyed her to no end. He wasn't even that handsome... What did Sesshoumaru see in the little moron?! She was sure the hanyou was doing something to him. The Sesshoumaru she knew would never stoop this low... Oh, she could tell that pup of his would live alright... Damm little bastard would probably thrive and be as strong as Sesshoumaru one day. She had to keep that from happening. She knew if the dammed thing was born healthy and strong, Sesshoumaru would never throw out that hanyou. He'd probably keep him and have the large powerful family he'd wanted.

She looked to her army and smirked wickedly. Tonight... Tonight they would attack. She'd been lucky the hanyou hadn't given birth yet. So tonight she had to put her plan into action. “Get ready!! tonight we attack and take the west!!” She yelled to the demons. They cheered back, fighting each other about how they where gonna be the ones to kill Lord Sesshoumaru. She just smirked, and watched them. 'Idiots! Just survive long enough... That's all I care about.' Chie thought and laughed out loud a little as she watched them.

Over in another part of the west, high up in the tallest mountain. In her castle covered by clouds Lady Inu Kimi watched her son and his mate from her throne with the help of her pendant. The pendant had been a gift from her late mate. It allowed her to open a portal to the other hell, and also allowed her to open a viewing portal that allowed her to see any soul she wanted. Alive or otherwise. It didn't matter where they where.

Most of the time that person was her son. Taishio had wanted her to 'keep an eye' on their son. It was a task she still did to this day. She didn't mind, and smiled softly watching the hanyou sleep. He was big now. Very big. “Any time now. How fun.” She said turning her gaze to the hanyou's tummy. “Three little souls all ready. Oh, won't you be precious.” She said smiling and giggling happily to see the three little future grandchildren she had on the way. “Oh my dear, lovely son. You have no idea the trouble you're in for.” She said laughing. “You will live all the hells you've put me through and more.” She said laughing more, and then turned to another.

The Princess Chie; She'd been watching the idiot for a while now. Ever since she'd found the princess spying outside her son's castle. She should have gone and told Sesshoumaru. But her stubborn son never asked for any help. Still thought himself above asking his own mother for help. So she was sitting back and watching. Like always. Only this time... She knew she'd have to intervene at some point. She was not about to let some little slut her son had a fling with to take the lives of her precious grandchildren; And then there was the hanyou to consider as well. This near birth he was helpless, and would stay so for a while after birth as well. If something happened to him her son would be distraught. She sighed. “Ahh, what mothers have to go through. And never any appreciations.” She said shaking her head. “Such is my burden.” She said giggling to herself. She closed her viewing portal when a servant came forward.

“The Lady of the South, my lady.” The servant said bowing, and showing the lady in. Inu Kimi raised an elegant eyebrow. This was unexpected. How fun. Something she hadn't expected. “It is rare to find one such as you seeking me out, Lady of the South. What brings you this high up?” Inu Kimi asked coldly.

“A mother's plea, Lady Inu Kimi. My daughter has fallen madly for your son. She will not listen to reason, and we have been unable to find her. I grow sick with more worry each day that passes that she will do something foolish. Please.. You must help me. Your son will kill her.” The lady of the South said after bowing, standing there looking every bit a lady herself as she looked to Inu Kimi. The Lady of the South herself was not ugly by any means. She was a beauty, long, and slim. With wavy brown hair that went down to pretty much to the back of her knees, and almost shaped brown eyes.

“And I should care about your daughter's life why? She dishonored my son by what she did. Caused us another heir. The others where at least intelligent in leaving us alone.” Inu Kimi said looking to the woman, she had ice running through her veins for anything other than her son. Her laughter and humor aside she was very much a wickedly cold woman who cared for one, and did not help anyone.

“Please she is my only daughter. Surely you as a mother can see my burden.” The Lady of the South said.

“Your daughter is at this moment raising an army against my son. She will get herself killed. Go back to your castle Lady of the South. If you wish for a daughter so badly. Have your mate pup you again.” Lady Inu Kimi said coldly. “And this time don't raise an idiot!” She said with a frozen tone as she motioned for her servant to take the lady away from her presence. She could hear the lady crying all the way out. She rolled her eyes not feeling the least bit moved, and turned back to her viewing portal. “Oh.... She made me miss when they awoke...” She said sounding a bit annoyed and sad.

The lady of the south had rushed home. Frantic, rushing to her mate with the tale that Inu Kimi had told her. “So you see... We have to go to the West! We have to stop her!” She said pleading with her mate.

The Lord of the South frowned, hearing it all. He was stuck between two very hard places, and felt the rocks digging themselves into his back. He loved his daughter but the girl had turned out a foolish idiot that could cost him his lands. He was not about to stand for that. He stood from his throne watching his mate, going to her he grabbed her by her arm and pulled her non to gently towards the royal suites.

“What are you doing! Let me go, we must find our daughter!” She said yelling, fighting him, struggling the entire time.

The Lord kept pulling, dragging the fighting woman the entire. Once at their suite the guards silently opened the door not saying anything about anything. The Lord threw his mate into the room, motioned for guards to go stand by the windows in the rooms, and then looked at his mate. “You will stay here until I see that your insanity has passed!” He told her.

“BUT CHIE!! She's your daughter! You can not just abandon her!!!” The lady said crying. “He'll kill her!!”

The Lord sighed looking to his mate with a heavy heart. “He probably will.” He said and then looked to all the guards. “The lady does not leave this room, or it will be your heads!” He said leaving. The guards nodded and bowed to their Lord, closing the doors tightly after he left. The lady inside cried without stop, but all the guards obeyed their lord. She did not leave the room.

Over at the Palace of the West, Sesshoumaru watched the healer check his mate... Again! This seemed to be never ending. The pup should have been born a month ago, but the little one seemed to be as stubborn as his parents, and did not seem to have any intention of coming out. Inuyasha was still thankfully in very good health. His attitude towards all this though, had understandably shifted. The last month had been hard on him, he was barely able to get up let alone move. His mate did not appreciate being help captive by his own body. His belly was huge, Sesshoumaru did not understand how one pup was making him so big. He had an inclination that there might be more in there. But his healer kept telling him he could only sense one, and he himself only ever smelled one additional scent on his mate. Even now when he was this close. If there where more their scents should have been strong enough for him to pick up. But there was nothing else... Only one... Something that utterly confused them all. It kept them both ready for what ever might come out of the hanyou. His mother's words still rang in Sesshoumaru's head, and now he wished he hadn't let her go so fast. He should have interrogated her more. The more Sesshoumaru watched his mate the more sorry he was that he put him in this position. Of course, all that said he would have still pupped him. He could not wait to hold his pup in his arms. To see the little one that he'd felt kicking so strongly inside his breeder's stomach. It made him anxious for this to be over.

“WHAT DO YA MEAN IT AIN”T COMING OUT YET!!” Inuyasha yelled loudly, trying to sit up, and grab the healer by the throat. “YA LISTEN TO ME YOU DAMMED ASSHOLE!! GET THIS THING OUT OR I”LL RIP YOUR HEAD OFF!!!!!!!!!” Inuyasha said practically howling.

The healer put a hand to his ear, the yelling leaving his head ringing. Sesshoumaru sighed, he controlled himself, but his delicate ears, where also ringing from all the yelling of his hanyou mate.

“You will harm him if you take him out before he is ready, mate. Have patience it will be over soon.” Sesshoumaru said coming close, but not enough so that he could be caught by his mate.

“YOU!!! YOU DID THIS TO ME YOU ASSHOLE!!! I SWEAR TO GOD IF THIS LITTLE BASTARD DON'T COME OUT SOON I'M GONNA NEUTER YOU!” Inuyasha yelled to Sesshoumaru. The threat made Sesshoumaru raise an eyebrow. He would have said something like 'And harm the part about me you enjoy the most?' but a look from his healer kept him quiet. He'd take that silent advice. He looked to the healer.

“Let me know if anything changes.” Sesshoumaru said leaving the room, Inuyasha growling loudly behind him. He sighed, and shook his head. His healer had told him this might happen. Let's face it while Inuyasha had matured, he was still Inuyasha. Good behavior aside put all this on top of him and he turned into a raging, angry youkai that really Sesshoumaru had no patience to be around. His delicate ears still ringing from all the yelling. Everyone told him his mate would fluctuate between being angry at him and wanting him to hold him. So far the latter had not happened. Ever since he'd hit his 3^rd month Inuyasha had been in a constant state of anger, and the last thing he wanted was to be touched by the person that put him in that state.

At least Sesshoumaru had his ever constant little war with the kit to keep him entertained. The last trick the kit had tried to pull was to fool him by turning himself into his mother Inu Kimi. Sesshoumaru wasn't quite sure what he thought he would accomplish, but he'd seen right through him easily. Shippou had been less than pleased with himself.

Sesshoumaru smirked evilly to himself as he remembered that and came into his office and started to work on his Lord duties, if only to keep himself from worrying over his pup. The day turned to early evening, and found Sesshoumaru still in his office working away. His servants came and gave him status updates on his mate regularly. But so far nothing. He was starting to wonder if his pup would ever come out. By nightfall, he had finished most of the accumulated work and was standing up ready to go to his suite for the evening and see if Inuyasha actually wanted to spend some time with him. Something that would be a miracle but still.

“SESSHOUMARU!!! SESSHOUMARU!!!” Shippou rushed in, practically bouncing off the wall. He'd been out in the forest trying to find what he needed for his next trick for the lord. He'd been looking for just the right bugs. Stinky ones to be exact. He was going to put them all over Sesshoumaru's clothes. It was gonna be hilarious. However... He'd run into Princess Chie's army and had barely made it out of there alive. He had cuts and bruises as it was from the struggle to get loose and run home.

“Another trick for me already?” Sesshoumaru asked calmly looking up to the kit. “It will have to wait until tomorrow. I am on my way to Inuyasha.” He said.

“NO!!! Outside!! In the forest! Heading this way!! Demons!!! Hundreds of them!!!” Shippou said frantic, and truthful. Sesshoumaru raised an eyebrow at this and frowned. “They're being led by that...that... Bitch... The one that keeps circling the castle.” Shippou said staying strong. After all he'd been through this sort of thing before. Panicking never helped.

“You are certain.” Sesshoumaru said looking to Shippou.

“Yes! I saw her... She's towards the back of the mob, but I saw her. She's ordering the demons to attack! They tried to catch me when they found me out, but I escaped. They're heading this way, talking about how they're going

to kill you, and take over.” Shippou explained.

Sesshoumaru snorted. “We shall see.” He said calmly, going over to his sword holder. He got Bakusaiga, and Tensaiga from their resting places and walked off towards his suite. On the way he ordered the guards to go on alert and prepare for an attack. Within minutes the entire castle was surrounded by his numerous guards. Even on the roofs there where guards. Specially on the room on top of the royal suite. Every window has a guard hovering in front of it, in his true form.

Sesshoumaru rushed inside his suite. Shippou following closely behind him. He went to his armor closet, and put on his gear. Then rushed back out.

Inuyasha had managed to sleep most of the day after Sesshoumaru had left. But he was awake and drinking some juice when Sesshoumaru had rushed in, and then rushed back out in his armor. “Sesshoumaru?” He asked frowning. He looked to Shippou. “Shippou what the fuck is going on?” He asked frowning not liking the fact that Sesshoumaru had left wearing his armor.

“Huh..... Hi Inuyasha.” Shippou said faking a smile. “Boy you look huge! Huh... I gotta go... Bye...” Shippou said rushing out after Sesshoumaru.

“RUNT!!! You come back here and tell me what the fuck is going on!!!” Inuyasha yelled.

“SORRY! I'll explain later!! Promise!!” Shippou yelled from the hallway.

“WHAT THE FUCK!” Inuyasha growled out. He sat up as much as he could and saw the guard outside the windows. All the windows and frowned not liking that. He looked to the healer worried.

“Don't worry my prince. Nothing will happen to you.” The healer said with a smile watching him for any signs. All this worry might just do it. He had to be ready.

Inuyasha frowned now. If the castle was under attack he should be out there with Sesshoumaru. Not here stuck looking like a bloated whale. His ear stuck themselves to his skull as he plopped back into the bed. 'Fuck it all!' He thought to himself with a growl.

Outside Sesshoumaru rushed to the castle gates. He stood in front of them. Calmly standing there looking like every bit the lord he was. Just coldly starring down at the enemy that came towards him. There where hundreds of them. But Sesshoumaru did not look even the least bit worried. The first couple to attack where cats. Sesshoumaru dispatched them off with his light whip. Not even bothering with his sword. His guards came around him. Fighting off the mobs that came towards their lord from the other sides. They seemed to be never ending. The more they killed the more that appeared.

Princess Chie waited until Sesshoumaru was into the fight, and so over run with demons that even if he saw her he'd still wouldn't get to Inuyasha in time. She giggled watching the flying ones rush Sesshoumaru from above. She almost got lost in watching how amazing he was in battle. Graceful with every swing. Not an ounce of energy lost in fruitless motions. No, every move was calculated and effective. He was indeed killing perfection. He'd be hers. She giggled wickedly and rushed up, flying towards the windows. She grew her claws and threw them at the guard that was hovering in front of the biggest window. That was one of her gifts. She could throw her claws like projectiles, and instantly she'd grow new ones. Then just throw them again and again. The guard growled. Not letting the pain bother him. He growled loudly letting the others around him know what was happening. They all knew not to let it distract them. They wouldn't leave their post. Knowing this might be a distraction. The lone guard fought Chie. He was strong. His claws swinging at her, swiping her and drawing blood every time. She wasn't being that lucky. The guard was too fast, and so far she'd only been able to get him twice with her attack. While he'd gotten her covered in deep gashes and wounds already. She felt herself loose strength with the loss of blood she was suffering. She had to get this to end quickly. She saw her window and moved in for the kill. While the guard swung, growling at her nearly gutting her in the process. She let loose her claws. One of them finding it's mark hitting the guard right between the eyes, imbedding itself deep into his skull, killing him instantly. His body fell to the courtyard below with a large thud.

Inside while the battle had been going on Inuyasha had gotten more and more anxious. He could hear it all from where he was and was deeply worried over Sesshoumaru. All the worry and the sounds worked against him. He started feeling pains. Just rushing through his entire body. The birthing canal had been forming all month, and luckly it was now ready. Inuyasha felt the pain rip through him as the canal opened where his balls had previously been. His body having pulled them inside in preparation for the birth. As Sesshoumaru had swung and killed that first cat. Inuyasha had been gripping the sheets while the healer told him to push. The hanyou growled loudly, in pain as the first pup came down the birth canal. As Chie started her fight with the guard outside the window, the healer was cleaning out the pups' nose and mouth and helping to pull the pup out, by gently holding it while Inuyasha pushed with all his might.

A few moment late the healer had cut the cord and smiled shocked to all hells as he held a healthy 7oz. baby girl, that growled loudly at him, and kicked up a storm. The healer chuckled wrapping the newborn up and handing her to her birther. “My lord you have a daughter, congratulations.” The healer said with a smile. He was sure this was the pup he'd been sensing. She was strong, incredibly strong. The baby girl had her father's looks. Strikingly beautiful features; All the markings of her father except for the moon, and adorable inu ears on top of her head.

Inuyasha wrapped his arms around his pup and just smiled wide, laughing a bit through his pain. “Wait till your sire gets a load of you.” He said knowing what a shock a girl was gonna be to Sesshoumaru. “Hope you can fight kid, cause I ain't this again any time soon.” He said knowing full well Sesshoumaru would still want a boy. But he'd deal with that later. The birth had completely, and understandably made him forget about the battle outside. He was about to ask to get news on how it was doing when more pain ripped through him, he growled loudly. The healer had to rush and take the newborn pup, placing her in a bassinet besides the hanyou.

“My lord I believe there are more inside. I don't know how or why but I can not sense anything. You will have to push again my lord.” The healer said.

“What do you fucking mean you can't sense anything! What kind of fucking healer are you! How many fucking kids do I got in there?!” Inuyasha growled out loudly. Yelling and screaming this time as he felt for sure he was pushing out an elephant or something.

That was when Chie burst in, having just killed the guard she laughed at the position she'd found the hanyou in. The guards rushed inside, a major fight ensued as Chie tried to get to the hanyou and the guards tried to stop her. The Princess by now had figured out how to kill the guards easier. They had no preparation for her attack at first. But the moment the first one fell, the others caught on and where harder to kill for the princess, who truly had more fighting skills than any one had thought. She was a force to be reckoned with. But the guards were equally strong, and were not about to let get get to the prince.

Inuyasha growled pushing out the pup, and looking to the fight. He was stuck and couldn't do anything else. “FUCKING GODS!! KILL THE BITCH ALREADY!!” He growled out to the guards as another wave of pain hit him. He growled looking over watching more guards fall. “Fucking idiots can't kill a dammed bitch!” Inuyasha growled to himself.

Chie giggled, she was bleeding heavily. She had to tie part of her clothes around her stomach because the attack from the guard earlier left her insides nearly falling out. But she would get her target. So lost in her anger and jelaucy was she that she didn't care anymore. All she wanted now was to kill the hanyou and his pups. “Heh! You... You... just had to show off... didn't you... Isn't enough you can carry his pups!! No!! You have to give him more than one!!!” Chie said lost in jealousy.

The poor healer was torn about what to do. He was a healer not a fighter. He didn't know the first thing about fighting. He cured people... Not killed them. He hadn't killed in his life. As The second pup came out he took the baby boy and cuddled the newborn to him, watching Chie.

The bitch went for the bassinet. Inuyasha growled loudly, reaching for his pup. After giving birth to two he had barely any strength left, but he wasn't about to let the bitch kill his pup without a fight.

Outside Sesshoumaru growled loudly, Fast loosing his patience he pulled out Bakusaiga and sent an attack at the mob. By the time Chie had gotten into the royal suite he'd been done. It had taken three waves of Bakusaiga attacks to get them all to die. The grounds outside the castle littered with broken up demon parts that still sparked with Bakusaiga's power.

“MY LORD!! Princess Chie has gotten into the suite! She's killed 5 of the guards!” A guard rushed to his lord, warning him. Sesshoumaru growled at that. Taking off like a white flash he rushed to the suite.

Inside Inuyasha had thrown his 'blades of blood' at Chie. After a few more attacks where she'd managed to avoid more of the blades, she'd thrown her claws at him. The healer had tried distracting her, throwing bottles of potions and things at her during the fight, it had worked for a while but he'd ran out of stuff to throw. Now Inuyasha laid there, with claws embedded into each shoulder, pinning him to the bed, and claws pinning his arms down as well. He growled loudly, barely feeling the pain. His body pulsed with youkai power as his demonic self started to come out of control. The insane hanyou turned youkai growled loudly, baring his fangs at Chie, growling wildly as he thrashed trying to work up the strength to break loose and attack the bitch. Not really caring or not that all this had caused the last pup to plop out. Red eyes insane eyes watched Chie as he thrashed more.

Chie laughed manically grabbing the first born inu girl. Stepping back to make Inuyasha watch as she killed his pup. The pup however had other ideas. Being a newborn she was going on instinct. She had taken in the scent of her birther, and was now anxious and crying because her birther smelled of fear and panic. When Chie grabbed her, she let out a loud whining cry calling for her parents to protect her.

Inuyasha had gone nearly insane again when he'd heard it, but his powers and energy where now spent. He could do little more than watch, growl, and try to shake free some more.

Sesshoumaru heard it and sped up, realizing his pup had been born. He growled loudly shifting to inu form as he flew faster. When he got into the room bursting through the doors he growled, but blinked at what he saw.

There was Chie on the ground in the throes of a convulsion while a newborn girl inu pup wiggled, whining latched on to Chie's hand. Chie's claws half way out. The newborn pup had shifted to her true form; Blind and going on instinct still, she had attacked Chie's hand when Chie tried to strangle her. Poison had flowed through the pups' fangs and rushed through Chie's body. Hearing her birther's cried and growls, the girl had stayed latched on, and kept pumping poison into Chie, until the body practically dissolved into a puddle of goo. Chie had under estimated the pup's power because she had been a newborn. Forgetting that the newborn was the daughter of Sesshoumaru.

Sesshoumaru raised an eyebrow at this. Still mildly in shock at it all, he walked over, picking his pup up with his mouth by the scruff of her neck and placing her gently on the side, she was the size of his paw. After licking her gently to calm her down and let her know her father was there, he looked over to the rest of the room. The pup whining and whimpering some more had calmed down some, but not all. She did stay where she was put. Just going silent because instinct told her it might still be unsafe to be loud.

After shifting back to his human form. Sesshoumaru went over placing Tetsusaiga by Inuyasha so he could calm again. He looked over to the healer, who still held protectively his second born. Sesshoumaru raised an eyebrow. He looked over. One pup over there.... His girl...

One pup in the healer's hands... But he couldn't smell any other pup other than the transformed one on the pillows. He looked between his panting mate's legs... Another pup wiggled, and cried up a storm. He went over, his mate now calmer. Sesshoumaru cut the cord and picked up the trembling pup. This was another girl. She gave little cries and only calmed after she'd been picked up. Sesshoumaru smiled looking down to his daughter. Pointed ears, but no markings. Fuzzy barely there silver hair on all the pups' head. Sesshoumaru looked over to his mate, coming over to his side. After he clothed his new daughter. He put the third pup by Inuyasha. Who was confused as all hells as to when that pup had come out. Since he didn't remember a thing.

The healer rushed over when all was safe, he quickly clothed the boy in his arms and handed him to his father. Then put up curtains around the prince, before servants and guards rushed in to make sure everything was alright with their lord and their prince.

“You have one son, and two girls my lord.” He said helping Inuyasha. Pulling out the claws in his shoulders and arms. Throwing them aside and then proceeding to heal him. He still had his ointments by Inuyasha's side, so he rubbed and cleaned the wounds with those. Then started to bandage him up.

“Why do I not smell the last two...” Sesshoumaru thought out loud, looking down to his pups, while running a hand gently over Inuyasha's face. Inuyasha was barely conscious.

“I believe it is their abilities my Lord. I can not sense them at all. When I look at them and try to sense them all I feel is a block of my own abilities. It might be a defense mechanism my lord. We shall have to wait until they are older to see.” The healer said carrying for the prince. “They are in good health my lord.” The healer explained.

Sesshoumaru nodded sighing and brought his first born girl over so she could lay besides Inuyasha. Once near her birther, the newborn girl shifted back to her human form, and cried. Sesshoumaru smiled proudly and placed the girl with her siblings, and Inuyasha.

“Three...” He said shaking his head. Inuyasha had surpassed his wildest expectations. “How is he?”

“Spent from the birth and the fight my lord. But he did well all things considered. He'll recover from the birth in a week's time. After that he can move around only gently for another week. It will take at least a full month until his body has properly shifted and healed back to it's normal form. You will not be able to have sex with him until then. Not that you will have time for such things, with three pup.” The healer said chuckling a bit.

Sesshoumaru looked to the healer with a raised eyebrow. Behind him the guards and servants where cleaning up the mess. With only the erected curtain keeping everyone from now seeing the prince in his naked state as the healer worked more on him.

“You shall have to call for more wet nurses my lord.” The healer said. Sesshoumaru nodded, and looked to his pups again. Three beautiful, perfect pups. The first a little fighter just like her birther. Sesshoumaru noted that she had his looks, his markings, all she was missing was his moon. He smirked lightly touching the girls' puppy ears, that where still bent over and tight to her skull.

'At least one came out with them...' Sesshoumaru thought to himself.

The second was his heir. His son. Pointed ears the sign that he was nearly full demon like his siblings. This one was the one that had taken in the most power. Though Sesshoumaru wouldn't understand that yet. He noticed he had his grandfather's single stripe on his face, and a his Prussian blue moon. Sesshoumaru still could not smell or sense the boy's powers at all. It was a complete mystery to him.

The third was the one that most looked like Inuyasha. Even with her pointed ears. She had no markings what so ever, and even her features looked more innocent than the other two. She was the only one calmly sleeping by her siblings, and now barely stirring, since she felt safe. Like her brother she also had the ability to keep herself invisible to youkai senses. It would a trick that would drive her parents mad when she was older. But for now Sesshoumaru was blissfully unaware of the hell his two last pups would give him and his mate. After all, they looked soo innocent, so sweet, and utterly incapable of causing any trouble right now.

Sesshoumaru was pulled out of his revery by the weak sounds of his mate calling him. “I am here mate. Calm yourself. Everything is well.” Sesshoumaru said gently holding his mate's hand.

“The... pup..s..” Inuyasha asked trying to sit up to see them. Sesshoumaru helped him but barely moved him. He only did so enough so that Inuyasha could see them. Inuyasha smirked watching them, he wanted to touch them, but his arm wasn't up to it yet.

“The last two seem to wish to hide, mate. I still can not sense or smell them.” Sesshoumaru explained. Inuyasha laughed a bit. “Figures... They shocked the hell out of me too...” Inuyasha said as Sesshoumaru laid him back.

“You will be healing for a month. But you'll be up and walking again in a week or so.” Sesshoumaru explained. Inuyasha nodded. Right now he was soo beat, he wasn't arguing. With everything safe he fell into an exhausted sleep.

Sesshoumaru got up and went outside the curtain. He called the servants to bring three wet nurses for the pups. And looked around his suite seeing the cleaners, trying to get the gooey remains of Chie off his floors. He was mildly disgusted by it.

With the castle on clean up duty, the wet nurses arrived, Sesshoumaru motioned for them to sit, near him. He handed each one a pup. The rest of the day passed in a blur as Sesshoumaru got used to being a father to three pups, and watched with the healer over his sleeping mate.
