Sango continued to sit on the ground, punching it repeatedly, "No...NO!" she yelled as her eyes spilled tears
The group stood behind her, they were completely baffled. "Sango...?" Kagome finally was able to whimper as she held her hand out, stepping toward the taijiya. Sango stood silently and picked up a shovel, "We...should bury the dead...I-I's going to take a while...but..." "Let me and Miroku handle that...you and Kagome just go start dinner" Inuyasha said as he took the shovel from the woman. Sango silently nodded as Kirara rubbed against her comfortingly and Sango petted the fire cat's head as they walked toward a nearby hut, "Kirara...I'm not crazy am I? You remember don't you?" Sango questioned as she looked over to the cat who nodded her response. Sango sighed in relief, I wonder why...we were the only ones not affected..." Sango said as they reached the hut and she went in and knelt down by a pot.
As day became night, Shippou and Kagome gathered fire wood and began to discuss the confrontation they endured earlier, "Have you heard of the wolf demon tribe before too?" Kagome question as Shippou continued to pick up the fire wood, " Yeah, the live in packs up in the mountains and think they are supreme wolf demons (A/N: When I first heard this part on the anime I was like "welllll...aren't they? XD I was so confused.) they bully other demons off their land and claim it as their territory." Shippou explained as they continued toward the hut, "Smaller demons like me were driven out and had to find shelter else where because the wolf demons claimed the mountains and guarded them ruthlessly." Kagome gasped slightly, "Interesting...and have you heard of this Kouga before...? I've never seen Sango act like that before...only when it comes to Kohaku but this is someone we never met before." Shippou sighed, "There are many branches of the tribe...Kouga bragged about being their new leader so maybe he caused an upstart and took control using the jewel shards..." They then continued into the hut. Shippou ran ahead yelling, " We brought more fire wood!" Sango just stood silently and took the wood. Kagome frowned, "Sango...? If you don't mind me asking...this Kouga guy? How do you know him?" Sango looked toward Kagome slowly, "Don't...you feel this sort of Deja Vu? Like we're been here before? Like you already knew who Kouga was?" She questioned as she placed a few pieces of wood in the fire beneath the pot. Kagome took a moment to think then shook her head, "No sorry..." Sango sighed and stared into the fire, "What if I said that I am Kouga's m--...nevermind." Sango shook her head and poked at the fire, she was afraid if she told them they would think she was crazy...but maybe she was? "You can put the rest of the fire wood over there..." Sango said as she pointed towards a corner of the hut.

Kouga paced back and fourth on a couple feet from his den. He was deep in thought about the encounter with the strange people yesterday when he saw his wolves finally return on the mission he sent them on earlier. "That human girl...she wore my scent...and I felt this pull to her I have no idea what it was...damn! it freaks me out just thinking about it! And the other human girl..with the strange cloths...she was able to see my jewel shards..." I could be able to put her skills to very good use...but first I need to find out what the deal is with that scent snatcher! He thought as he looked over the horizon.

Inuyasha sniffed over the ground, "Alright! I picked up the scent of the wolves." He growled, "that cocky bastard! I can't believe he called me a mutt..."
Sango and Miroku had flew ahead to see if they could spot the wolves from over head. Sango was a bit reluctant...she knew this part all to well...this is the part when Kouga was going to kidnap Kagome and end up falling head over heels for her afterward...she growled lowly. She couldn't let that happen...she readied her Hiraikotsu, "What's the matter Sango?" Miroku asked as she gazed upon the uneasy woman. "Is it the wolves?" Sango didn't answer she simply commanded Kirara to take them back to Inuyasha and the others.
"It's about time you guys arrived! Can you fly any slower?" Inuyasha scoffed as Sango, Kirara and Miroku approached him. "Inuyasha! Can you smell or sense anything unsual about this area?" Miroku questioned as they landed in front of the hanyou. "Oh so I'm your faithful terrior all of a sudden? Wondering if a sniffed out a scent or heard something with my little doggie ears? Damn you g--" "Piss you off. I know, I know" Sango interrupted. Inuyasha stood dumbfounded for a moment, "and how the hell did you know what I was about to say?!" As soon as Sango was about to answer Kirara turned her head and started growling viciously up the mountain. Sango instantly turned her head in the same direction eyes wide as she saw the wolves running down the slope. "Look up there!" Miroku shouted as he pointed at the approaching wolves heading straight for Inuyasha, tackling him and knocking him down the side of the mountain "Sango! Look out!" Miroku yelled as a group of wolves sprung towards her. Sango clenched her teeth and kicked one of the wolf sending it fly as Miroku fought the other wolves. Sango then turned to Kagome and ran in front of her, blocking her as Kouga came running up the side of the mountain but to Sango's surprise, he snatched them both up in both his arms, "Got em'!" Kouga yelled as he began to retreat. "SANGO! KAGOME! NOOO, SANGO!" Miroku yelled but was soon distracted by more attacking wolves.

"Wha-What are you doing?!" Kagome shierked as Kouga lept off the edge of a cliff. "This cliff is nothing to me! I have sacred jewel shards in my legs!" Kouga bragged as the free fell down the cliff. Kagome began to scream to the top of her lungs, "Where not going to make it!! We're going to fall! Ahhh!!" Sango clenched her teeth as Kouga gripped onto the neighboring cliff using his legs, sliding half way down before the came to a halt,"Would you shut up and stop screaming?!" Kouga yelled as he tightened his grip on both girls and began to leap up the side of the cliff. Sango looked up him as he did, her eyes never leaving his face. She was just thrilled to be feeling his arms around her waist again. "I'll scream if I want to!" Kagome shot back as they reached the top and Kouga landed effortlessly on his feet and speeded around a few corners then stopped. Kouga smirked as he looked back "Heh! He can't keep up with me." He bragged. "Of course not! You have sacred jewel shards jammed in your legs. You can't get bragging rights if your cheating you know." Kagome snapped as she glared at Kouga. Kouga looked towards her, "What you say?". "You've got alot of nerve swooping up and kidnapping Sango and I like that!" Kagome hissed. "Sango?" Kouga muttered below his breath as he looked down at Sango who growled, admittedly a little tired of being man-handled and wiggled from Kouga's grasp, "let go..." She mumbled as he feet hit the ground. Kouga looked down at her, "You...I have a bone to pick with you! Why the hell do you smell like that! Are you even human? What are you some sort of scent snatching demon? A witch?" Sango looked down, "No...You obviously don't remember me bu--" Sango was interrupted when she saw a huge shadow fly by. "Did you guys see that? Tell me that was just a bird...a really big bird..." Kagome said in almost one breath as she stared down at the ground. "Come on! Somebody say something your freaking me out!" she said as she looked up at the sky. Sango followed her friend's actions and looked up slowly seeing they were surrounded by huge bird/humanoid like creatures. "What are those things?" Kagome questioned. "They ain't canaries I can tell you that much and I bet they want dinner..." Kouga answered also looking at the birds. "The birds of paradise..." Sango said lowly as she examined the birds closely. "Huh? How the hell did you know that?" Kouga question as he looked towards Sango who turned her head away slightly in silence. She desperately wanted to tell him but she knew now was the appropriate time. Kouga looked back up at the sky, "Whatever..." Then looked back towards Kagome, "See if any of them have a jewel shard...can you tell?" Kagome looked a bit confused then back up at the sky "Huh?" "I know you have the power to see the jewel shards now tell me..." Kouga said getting a tad bit annoyed. "No, I don't think so...I don't see any from here anyway..." Kagome whimpered. "Then I have no use for them...come on let's go." Kouga said as he grabbed Sango by her waist again and ran off, "Come on, Scent snatcher. See ya, Buzzard brains! We're out of here!"

When they arrived they were greeted by two wolf demons who Sango recognized immediately, "Ginta, Hakkaku!" Sango accidently cheered, then quickly realizing what she said she quickly covered her mouth.Kouga nearly dropped both girls when he heard it it then looked toward Ginta and Hakkaku who looked as puzzled as he did, "You guys know this chick?" Kouga questioned as he looked back and fourth between the two. "Nope." Hakkaku replied. "Never seen her in my life." Ginta replied as he looked over Sango who sighed and closed her eyes. Kagome looked at Sango a bit puzzled then looked over at the tribe, "Huh? What's this?" Sango looked over to her friend slightly, "It's the wolf demon tribe..." Kagome gasped, afraid to discover who horrors waited for them once they made it inside the den.

Now I'm, wondering why, I've kept this bottled inside,

So I'm starting to regret not telling all of this to you.

Once inside as the sun began to set Kouga stood in the entrance of the den, both girls in hand. Sango and Kagome looked over the den horrified to see it littered with bones of demons and see hundreads of hungry faces beaming at them like they were Sunday dinner."Hey, Kouga! Who are the women?!" A demon shouted out as Kouga began to lead both eyes through until the got to the back where his bed was as he threw both girls down onto it. Sango looked up into the faces of the hungry wolves as Kagome hold tightly onto her. "Nice looking prey, Kouga. Can I have the black haired girl's legs?" Ginta said as he licked his lips. "I call dibs on the brown haired one's liver." Hakkaku said as he gawked at Sango. "The black haired girl is off limits! I'll kill anyone who dares to try and take a bite!" Kouga snarled as he glared back at the hungry tribe who gulped and stepped back. "Well what about the brown haired one?" A demon cautiously shouted out as Kouga looked back down at Sango, "Hmm...I have to speak with this one first...and then we'll see." Sango's eyes widened and filled with tears at that moment she wished they could go back to the modern era and wished none of this was never happening as she shut her eyes tight, not wanting Kagome to see her tears. Kouga looked back at a group of wolves who sniffed at his tail, "Oh yeah, I almost forgot." He said as he grabbed his tail which Shippou clung to, "The little runt must have grabbed on when i snatched the girls. Here have an appetizer!" He yelled as he pulled Shippou off and threw him in the middle of a hungry circle of wolves. Shippou sat up and looked around, "Uh oh! Kagome! Sango! Help! Kagome! Sango! Help!" Sango stood and walked toward Kouga, "Let him go..." Kouga lazily looked at Sango, "Why should I?" Kagome sprung from her seat and ran toward Kouga also, "Hey wait a minute! If anyone lays a finger on Shippou I refuse to help! I don't care what you do to me!" Kouga smirked, "Well, well...you've got more guts then I thought." he said as he went over to the wolves and lifted one up "Come on, move! Woah, you guys have packed on some weight you bunch of gluttons. No more food for the next couple of days." Kouga then picked up Shippou and threw him in Kagome's waiting arms. Sango looked toward Shippou and Kagome making sure they were ok. She knew she would have to act fast or she would run out of time. "Kouga..." She said lowly as she walked up to him a few wolves sniffing at her then backing away in surprise as she did. "Huh? Oh, what do you want, Scent snatcher?" Kouga said as he watched her approach. "Your wondering why I smell like this correct?" Sango said as she stopped in front of him. Kouga waved his hand at her, "Later we don't have enou--" "No, listen!" Sango yelled and shook her head, "I'm your mate!" When the tribe heard this they gasped and mumbled amogst themselves. Kouga back away slightly as his eyes opened wide, holding his hands in front of him. "No way! I don't even know you." He snapped back. "Explain my scent." Sango said as she crossed her arms across her chest. "Simple, your some sort of scent snatching witch..." He said nonchalantly. Sango lowered her eyes in a glare at him, "You really want to believe that don't you?" Kouga looked from Sango to his eagerly listening tribe, "Oh geez...come on let's go talk else where..." Kouga said as he grabbed Sango by her arm and guided her out of the den.

So if I haven't yet, I've gotta let you know...
