A/N isisriku90... your review made my day. My best friend is reading this on here as well and I believe she may just strangle me if I make her wait a week for an update, plus i have alot of downtime at work to write so hopefully the updates will stay close together. Enjoy!
It had been a trying day for both of them and Sakura found herself yawning against Sesshomaru's arm. "Sleep koneko. I will watch over you." His voice was soothing and it wasn't long before she started to drift. Kitten... since when did he call her kitten.
The next morning...............
"Rin! Come on saiai it is time to wake up. Sesshomaru is coming."
Rin woke to the sound of Koahuk's voice and smiled. Then it registered. Her lord was coming. What would happen if he found her in such a compromising position. He would kill Kohaku. The thought had barely flitted through her mind when Sesshomaru stepped out of the tree line. Rin instantly jumped from Kohaku's lap and stood with both of her arms out to protect him . "Sesshomaru-sama. You can't hurt him. You just can't. I love him."
"I know."
"Huh. You know? How do you know?"
Her little display had both Sesshomaru and Kohaku laughing and had it not been such a rare thing for her lord to laugh, she would have got after them both. Instead, she joined in their laughter and went to settle down next to Kohaku.
"Kohaku. Walk with me a moment. Rin. Stay here."
Sesshomaru took them just out of earshot and turned to face the taijia. "Not that I need to ask this of you but I need you to stay very close to Rin for a while and make sure she trains everyday. Also, she will require her weapons." Sesshomaru cut him off before Kohaku could ask. "All you need to know right now is that something is coming and because of my actions it will be sooner rather than later. As to the situation between you and Rin."He paused and sighed."I grant you permission to make her your wife." He couldn't hold back a smile as Kohaku's eyes lit up like the full moon on the clearest night."By her own omission, she loves you and I would never deny her happiness. Know this however, should something happen to her because of your neglegence I will see the head removed from your shoulders."
"I would expect nothing less." Kohaku couldn't contain the joy in his heart and he held out his hand in a show of respect.
Sesshomaru grasped the boys hand only for a moment before turning to walk back to the spring where he had left a sleeping Sakura.
Kohaku ran back and found that Rin had fallen back into a deep slumber and rather than wake her, he gently lifted her into his arms and carried her back to the village. He was going to have to make a trip to see his sister and then to a builder to see about a home. It was going to be a long day.

Sakura woke alone and wondered where Sesshomaru had gone. Assuming he had gone to the village to see Rin, she figured she might as well bathe. She did not enjoy smelling like forrest floor and heightened sense of smell was making it hard to ignore. She removed her sai and untied her obi, letting her kimono fall to the ground, it would clense itself, and slipped into the cool water of the spring. She had been worried that her panther would cringe, knowing that cats were not the biggest fans of water but she purred in relief and Sakura smiled. "Water loving cat. Interesting." she said aloud and laughed.
Sesshomaru had stopped dead in his tracks as her kimono hit the ground. He had masked his aura in an attempt not to wake her only to find that she had already awakened and was undressing. Keeping his mask up he stepped back into the shadows and watched her. Her hair obscured his view and he found himself wishing that she would turn around. Instead she waded into the spring and started muttering something about water and cats. She hadn't stopped purring since she had hit the water and it was enticing his demon. He backed further away until he hit a tree and decided to be patient. She would have to rise to get out of the water eventually and he hoped that a glimpse would pacify his demon. Great! A familiar tingle hit his senses causing his hackles to rise in response. Fucking interfearing hanyou! Drawing Bakusaiga and leaping the distance of the spring he landed juat as InuYasha and the miko crossed the treeline.
