Nesha: Now, if anybody knows me, then you’ll know that I can’t stand Kagome! I eveve hve her a “cute” little nickname: HOgome! But anyways, this fic stars Kagome Higurashi and Inuyasha! This story was inspired by the beautiful song from Allure, “Last Chance.” And it was written by the best damned singer in the world: Mariah Carey!!! I forgot to mention that Inuyasha is human in this tale! And also in this fic, to “dance” means to “make love.”

This is my last dance with you

This is my only chance to do all I can do

To let you know that what I feel for you is real…
I love this man, even though I know we can never be. He is forbidden to me, but I don’t care, I love him. I know he’s committed to someone else, but tonight he is mine.
He stood in front of me with a look of sadness in his eyes. He knew what we were about to do was wrong, but it was as though he wanted this, also.
This is the last chance for us

This is the moment that I just cannot let end

Before I know if there’s a chance we’re more than friends…
We were best friends. I remember the times when we used to hang out together. I always knew he had someone else, but before I could stop myself, I fell hopelessly in love with him. And now, he stands before me. The night before his wedding, he is with me. Yesterday we were friends, tonight we’ll become lovers, and tomorrow we’ll part our ways as though nothing happened. He’ll marry his true love, and he’ll probably forget about me.
I stood and faced him, my head barely reaching his chin. We embraced each other, just simply enjoying each other’s company.

He leaned down and kissed me. It was definitely a lover’s kiss. Our lips danced to a rhythm all their own. I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him back with all the love I had for him. I placed my finger to his lips to silence him. “I know, Inuyasha. I know. But now, let’s just go to sleep.”

I tearfully watched as he and she exchange vows. He removed her veil over her head and they kissed. The entire church exploded as they cried tears of joy, cheered, and applauded.
Some people mistaken my tears as joyful ones, but they weren’t. I applauded and wiped my eyes. Never in my life have I seen him so happy. I sighed, wishing it was me he was marrying and not her. I turned around and exited the church. I got in my car and drove away.
The memory of that night will always be in my heart. Because for one moment, he was mine.

Nesha *dabs eyes with tissue* Damned I loved that fic! And that song was just perfect! I almost cried as I was writing it. I think it’s nice to see a Kagome and Inuyasha fic in a different setting.
