Torn Between Two Brothers
Brief summary: Kagome Higurashi-Nobunaga is married to Inuyasha Nobunaga. The marriage was arranged through a business agreement between Kagome’s father and Inuyasha’s father in order for their two companies to merge. All goes considerably well for Kagome until she meets Inuyasha’s older brother Sesshomaru Nobunaga. She begins to have romantic feelings for her husband’s brother and things get complicated!! Pairings at first will be Kagome/Inuyasha and Sesshomaru/Kikyo. But will become Kagome/Sesshomaru eventually!
Prologue:
Kagome Higurashi stepped out of the shower beads of water rolling off her petite body. She wrapped a large gray cotton towel around her damp form and then padded to her room that was adjoined to the bathroom by a door. Kagome sat at her cherry wood vanity and plugged in her hair dryer. She quickly dried her damp raven tresses and then fashi the them into a neat bun atop her head with a few wispy strands of hair framing her pretty face. Kagome stood and dropped her towel to the floor. She pulled open her top dresser drawer and grabbed a pearl white lace bra and matching thong panties.
After slipping into her lacy undergarments she padded to her closet and selected a white silk camisole along with a black skirt and black blazer that was tailored for her petite but curvaceous figure. Kagome pulled on the white silk camisole and then slipped on a pair of nude colored stockings before sliding into her black skirt that came to rest at the middle of her creamy thighs. Kagome sat back down at her vanity and quickly put on her make up and then sprayed a light mist of Victoria’s Secret Heavenly perfume on her body. Grabbing her blazer, black Coach purse, and genuine italian leather sling back heels she headed downstairs for breakfast.
Sitting at the table was her father Akinori Higurashi. He had the newspaper tilted at an angle and was too engrossed in whatever he was reading to notice his only child enter the room. Kagome’s mother, Kyla Higurashi looked up from her breakfast of pancakes and sausage to smile at her daughter. Kagome smiled sweetly at her mother as she placed her purse and heel the the empty chair next to her father before laying her jacket across the back of it. Then she opened the fridge and grabbed a container of fat free vanilla flavored yogurt. Kagome poured herself a glass of milk and then grabbed a spoon from the drawer. She sat down next to her mother and began inhaling her breakfast. Her father cleared his throat and set his newspaper down on the table beside his cup of now lukewarm coffee.
“Kagome?”
“Yes father?”
“I have some news to share with you.” Her blue gray eyes brightened instantly.
“Really? Like what?”
“I realize that your twenty first birthday is rapidly approaching.”
“Yeah, but that’s not news to me father.”
“Hush Kagome, I wasn’t finished.” Her cheeks reddened as her gaze dropped to her lap quickly. “Kagome, I have recently been in negotiations for my company to merge with Tensega Corporation. Inutaisho Nobunaga is the owner of the company and he has two sons.” Kagome stared at her father blankly as he continued. “There was a clause in the contract that you are to wed his youngest son, Inuyasha Nobunaga on your twenty first birthday.” Kagome dropped the spoon she had been holding and it landed on the table with a loud clang splattering small droplets of vanilla flavored yogurt on the table top.
Her mother leapt to her feet to get a paper towel from the pantry to clean the mess. “Oh Kagome, honey watch out.” Mrs. Higurashi quickly wiped up her daughter’s spilled breakfast and discarded of the paper towel.
“Did you hear me Kagome?”
“Yes father I heard you, but I can’t believe you’re serious! What in the Hell possessed you to use me as a bargaining chip in your latest business deal?”
“Kagome would you calm down?”
“No I will not calm down! My God father, you’re forcing me to marry a man that I don’t love! Hell I’ve never even seen this Inuyasha Nobunaga, for all I know he could be some hideous freak of nature!”
“Kagome Higurashi! That’s enough now calm yourself!” She slumped in her chair at once. “Now you will marry Inuyasha Nobunaga and that is final!” Kagome gave a small nod as she stood to dispose of her half eaten yogurt now that her appetite had went completely down the toilet. “Where do you think you’re going young lady?”
“To Shikon Tech, I have work to do.” Akinori Higurashi watched as his only daughter stepped into her black sling back heels and then pulled on her black blazer that went to her waist. She grabbed her black Coach purse and fished her car keys out of it. Kagome trudged angrily outside and hit the keyless entry button on her keypad making the horn chirp on her black Lexus IS300.
She climbed in and started the car quickly. Kagome turned up the radio and smirked when the song ‘Complicated’ by Avril Lavine came on. Her mind was reeling from all of the things that she hadn’t been brave enough to yell back at her father. ‘ Damn him! How dare he make decisions concerning my future without consulting my opinion first! I cannot marry Inuyasha Nobunaga! No scratch that, I will not marry Inuyasha Nobunaga just because father has promised me to him! I’ll show him that he can’t force me to do everything he wishes!’
A/N: Hey guys! This fic just came to me outta nowhere so I had to start it asap! This is the first time that I have ever attempted a Kag/Sess fic and one in Kagome’s time too! Please review to let me know what you think of the intro to this story!!
