IMPORTANT: This story is a sequel to “Loneliness of the Free Wind” So those who haven’t read it, DON’T READ ANY FURTHER THAN THIS!!!! Since this is a direct sequel it is mandatory that you have read “Loneliness of the Free Wind” first, if you haven’t read it yet, READ IT NOW!

Now that that has been said, here’s the info for you who HAVE read “Loneliness of the Free Wind”, I wasn’t sure what to write at first but then, when suddenly it just hit me… this is purely experimental so if it sucks, tell me how I can improve it.

Well, enough of pointless chatter, let’s begin!

Time Soul Exodus

Prologue:=Memories…=

Place: Modern day Tokyo

Time: 1 year after Arcerdos’s and Kagura’s mating.

Location: Higurashi residence.

It was night, today was the full moon. Today was Arcs human night, ever since his mating with Kagura his traits had become visible, he can keep them suppressed with his purifying powers so he looks like a human again, he had to keep them hidden since at school his reputation had grown everyday, all the way to the point where some people had literally started spying on him to try and find out what was his secret of changing so much in a day so he had to keep his Youkai traits hidden, except on Halloween; that had been one of the best nights of his life…

The first time he had his human night had been rather… odd, to say the least, not being able to smell, hear, see or feel things with his superior senses was a sensation he could never get used to, it was true he had been mostly human ever since his 12 year birthday but now, after using his Youkai senses and abilities for less than a month, he couldn’t get used to being a regular human again. It still made him laugh just thinking about it.

He still remembered the days after his and Kagura’s first night, the next morning he had found out that for some reason he just couldn’t keep his hands off from her, even the tiniest touch made his blood boil with need to just tear her clothes off and… well, you get the idea. after a whole day of this, Arc had called home and asked his mom and dad just what the bloody hell was going on and the answer he received still made him feel his cheeks heat up.

*Flashback*
(Notice, this is a phone conversation, starting with Inuyasha, then Arc, then back to Inuyasha… you get the picture right?)

Inuyasha: (Picks up the phone) “Higurashi residence, who is this?”

Arc: “Dad?”

Inuyasha: “Oh, hello there son, (Grin) had a good time last night?”

Arc: (Blush): “S…shut you old bastard! I need some answers right now, okay?”

Inuyasha: (Chuckles) “I figured as much. So what is it? If I had to guess from the scents you two emitted, I’d say it is about not being able to keep your hands to yourself?”

Arc (Sweat drops): “… I still can’t figure out how you guess what I’m about to ask…”

Inuyasha (Laughs): “That’s because you’re my pup, I’m supposed to know what you’re trying to do or ask. Also it’s because you’re so horribly predictable.”

Arc: “… Anyway, what’s going on? I feel like some kind of a horny rabbit in heat! Every time she touches me or her scent hits my nose I go crazy!”

Inuyasha: “Son, when you two, shall we say… went at it, you marked her correct?”

Arc (Turns red): “Yeah…”

Inuyasha (Evil grin): “And she marked you back, didn’t she?”

Arc: “Yes… but what does that…?”

Inuyasha (Laughs evilly): “Well son, normally only the male marks the female as a sign of dominance but, if the female is strong willed enough or in this case your soul mate, she will mark you back as a sign she’s your equal, when this occurs, your bodies and instincts will begin to, shall we say, evolve and grow, which means that for the next 7 days you two will be going at it like rabbits in heat, so I suggest you get sleep whenever you possibly can son. Your mother and I have already informed your school that you won’t be coming for a week, so don’t worry about that, have *fun* son, you’re an adult now.”

*End flashback*

Arc still couldn’t believe that it actually happened; after telling Kagura about this, well… let’s just say she was a bit more thrilled about it than he thought, to be blunt, after hearing him say it she had literally pounced on him and before he could even gather his thoughts straight they had another round of mind blowing sex.

They had decided to spare the neighbours from the un-necessary noises they made. Of course before they had the chance to actually leave the police came there suddenly because one of the neighbours had called them saying that there were ‘two wild animals on the loose’, it was damn lucky that Inuyasha did not find out about all this, otherwise he would not let Arc hear the end of it…

They had spent the 7 days out of the city, since Kagura could use her feather to fly they had first packed up stuff to last for a week and had then left for the mountains, where no one would disturb them, those 7 days, they had been… heavenly, to say the least; they had fucked/mated/made love etc. pick whichever one you like, they had done it for 7 days, anywhere you might imagine: in the tent, against a tree, in a spring, against a boulder but the one that he nor her could not forget was doing it on her feather. That had been one interesting experience, she on top of him while he was trying to keep her from losing balance. It had been both dangerous and pleasant.

Arc sighed; he had been sitting at the roof of his home, he still lived with mom and dad, he was 18 now and on his last year in high school, yet he still lived with mom and dad. There was a reason as to why he was living still with them too… a heavy one.

He looked at the full moon, today would be his last day home. Tomorrow, he would leave, perhaps forever… why, you ask? well, that will be revealed in a few moments, for now he just wants to remember.

Arc moved his hand over the mark Kagura had given him, then he heard a soft cling sound and pulled something on his chest so he could see it; it was a necklace. It was similar to the one that his father had, shape and all but the colours were different, the beads were silver coloured and the string that tied them together was violet coloured. This necklace, it held the one memory in it he would never forget, no matter even if he got demented or suffered brain injury he would never forget what this necklace held in it…

*Flashback, last Christmas*

It was past midnight, Arc and Kagura were outside at the Goshin-boku. It had taken weeks but he had finally managed to coax her to come to his home, she had hesitated every step of the way but with Arcs help she found the guts to return to the Higurashi residence. It had been a very interesting encounter, his mom had within the split of second become friends with her while his dad was still a bit cautious around her but avoided offending her since she was his sons soul mate after all, plus Arc had warned him secretly that if he offended her in any possible way there would have been hell to pay.

Ever since then, Kagura slowly but surely started to visit Kagome and Inuyasha more frequently but mostly she and Arc spent a lot of time together, doing various different things, they did have their arguments and such about things from time to time. sometimes they started out of small matters but sometimes something big came up. Well, no relationship is perfect or without fights, but they did overcome them.

Kagura and Arc spent Christmas with Kagome and Inuyasha, since they were all family now. Katou and his parents, Kouga and Ayame had also been there: their reactions to Kagura were a bit different, Kouga still held a grudge for her because she did after all kill a large part of his tribe all those years ago but he wouldn’t insult her, Ayame though, she wanted to have a private talk with her about her and Arcs ‘7 days of mating’. Arc swore that by the time they were through, Kagura would be blushing permanent 10 shades of red. He was completely caught off guard though when they came back from they’re private talk: it wasn’t Kagura who was blushing madly but Ayame who was permanently turning red.

Kagura had told him in private that when Ayame kept asking about their ‘heated 7 days’… it seems like even though Ayame was mated to Kouga who was a full blooded Youkai, even he couldn’t perform half as good as Arc did; that did give Arc one hell of an ego boost.

Shippo had also been there; it seems like he and Ako were getting REALLY close with each other, they were still in the kissing phase since well, Ako was in human terms way too young to mate, she was only a little over 14 after all and Shippo was in human his human looking from a little over 19 so even if they wanted to, they had to wait for about 3-4 more years before actually doing it, Ako was pretty sure her mother wouldn’t be against it but her father who was a human would be a problem since her father had no idea that she, her mother or Shippo were Kitsunes. Of course Ako wasn’t there with them during Christmas; she was with her own family.

Souta too had come home for Christmas and you would not believe how he reacted when he saw Kagura, he had actually tried hitting on her! Since he had no idea she was Arcs mate. Even though he was Arcs uncle, he had come within a hair thread away from loosing control and butchering him. When Souta realised why Arc had looked like a wild beast, you could not believe how many times he apologised and literally bent down in front of him, begging for forgiveness. That was some sight to behold and Kagome had to threaten her husband with a few hard Osuwaris if he didn’t stop cackling.

Anyway, when the time to open presents arrived, the presents they gave to another had been rather interesting; Inuyasha had then seen a package that he didn’t remember seeing before, Kagome had answered that it arrived by mail two days before Christmas, the card read that it was meant for Arc and only he must read it, so she didn’t tell Inuyasha because she knew that he would have without a doubt read it. This broke into another argument which ended with Kagome saying: “Osuwari!” and Inuyasha hitting the deck once again.

As Arc read the card, he was completely caught off guard by the sender, it had been from Sesshoumaru! Inuyasha was also stunned, they hadn’t heard from his brother since he crossed the well with his mate, Rin, along with the rest of them. That was about 20 years ago, he was living somewhere in Japanbut they didn’t really know where; he never called or sent any letters, though Rin sometimes did. Which Inuyasha was sure was pissing his brother off much to his delight but that Sesshoumaru actually sent a present to Arc? How in the hell did he know that they had a son or where they lived? Those made pretty much everyone nervous.

What was inside the package took them all completely off guard; It was… Toukiji! It made no sense as to why Sesshoumaru had sent his sword as a present to Arc! That sword was the single most important thing besides his mate that he owned! Arc had tried to pull it out of its black sheath that came with it but it wouldn’t even budge! The scabbard that held it had a red coloured inscription in it, it read: “The seal of this destructive sword will only be lifted when the heart that is innocent and pure cries out from pain and suffering, when the seal is lifted, the wielder must keep his heart pure or his fate will be sealed.” That had made everyone shiver nervously. That was just like Sesshoumaru, he sends something for the first time and of course it’s something creepy like this.

The sword was placed into Arcs room; it made his wall look kinda cool with a sword like that hung up there.

Arc and Kagura though had not given each other presents yet; they wanted to do that in private since it was a private personal matter. That’s how they ended up at the Goshin-boku outside the house, while the others stayed behind to talk about things.

The present that Kagura gave to Arc was that necklace; she had found it by accident at a shop that dealt with antique things. The necklace itself was called =Shiroi Tama no Kokoro= (That means “White Heart of the Soul” if I’m not mistaken) and it was said that the necklace changes its colour depending the state of ones heart. Arc was sceptical about that because he couldn’t feel any magic in it but he didn’t care, it was beautiful and he swore he would never take it off. He had given Kagura a similar gift, he was surprised though that they were bought from the same shop. What a coincidence huh? Arc had bought her a golden coloured bracelet with three small crystal stones in a triangle formation carved into it, he had explained that it was called (This one’s in English until I find out what it is in Japanese) =Bracelet of the eternal bond= And that the three crystal stones had a purpose, the first one was her heart, the second was his heart and the third one was the point where they join for eternity and never part away from each other.

This had ended with them kissing and not too much longer from that they were once again making love inside Arcs room, this time it wasn’t wild or un-controlled like so many times before it, this time it was slow and filled with love, longing, warmth and passion, they let they’re souls merge together with one another and feel what each other felt. It was just like the first time they did this together and it was so beautiful that even all the best poets in the entire world would not be able to describe how beautiful it was. At that time, it wasn’t about Youkai instincts, mating or anything: there was no dominant male or submissive female, no, it was simply two beings in love expressing just how much they loved and needed one another. In the Youkai world, this type of mating was called =Unionof Heart and soul= and only soul mates whose bond was harder than the world itself could perform between each other.

They didn’t hurry to reach completion at all, they took they’re time to feel one another and help each other feel every last touch, breath, heartbeat, muscle movement. They let each other feel every last one of them. By the time Arc entered Kagura’s warm womanly temple known as her body, they were both in a whole different world, they were both floating in a ocean of stars, star dust and shooting stars and they were wrapped up in the light of their auras and souls, Kaguras was black and dark red while Arcs was silver, white and sky blue mixed with tints of glowing purple; a human soul merged with a demons aura that produced purifying powers… a god like sight…

They went slowly, from the moment of beginning to the moment it ended. During this special mating neither would reach completion for at least 6 hours, the =Union of Heart and Soul= mating was not about just reaching climax, completion etc. whatever you want to call it, instead it’s purpose was to express the love and affection the two people feel, it would end in a climax but not until the love they feel is completely expressed, meaning it might even take a whole day to do it. They went through so many positions, Arc on top of her, Kagura on top of him, him behind her, her sitting on him with her back against him, still sitting except this time facing him, both on they’re sides with him behind her going sideways and lastly he had lifted her against the wall with her legs wrapped up tightly around his waist and her arms around his back, clinging onto him while he kept pressing her closer to him as his strokes were slow yet long and hard.

They were kissing each other with deep loving tenderness, not with wild passion, after they parted from it with him still going inside her, Kagura had said with a voice so loving and serene it would make even the coldest of hearts melt: “I love you Arc, my beast god…” Arc had responded with a whisper into her ear: “I love you too Kagura, my wind goddess…” After a few more seconds, they bit each other into the spots where they’re marks were once again to renew them and that was the point they reached they’re completion, it had felt so glorious for both of them, Arc had felt his heart swell with love and pride as her walls clinched and danced around his member and hearing her muffled cries of ecstasy. Kagura felt so warm, loved and cared for when his seed filled her womb to the brim and hearing his growl of pure love and passion vibrate in his chest against her chest only added to that sensation, making it last longer than they realised.

What had made that night most memorable was not only the special mating they performed but the words they spoke after it, still having her against the wall in his room where the only source of light was the moon light through the window. When they parted from each others necks to look at one another Kagura had small tears running down her eyes, she just felt so complete and her heart was bursting with happiness from just having him hold her like this. Arc had then asked her: “Kagura, my mate… there is something that has been bothering me; if… if I could somehow, I don’t know how… but if I could somehow turn back time and prevent Naraku (Growls a bit) from… forcing you… would you want me to do it?”

(Two way conversation ahead, starting with Kagura, then back to Arc)

Kagura (Looks confused): “My mate… why would you ask this…? It cannot be changed…”

Arc (Sighs): “I know but… if it was possible, would you want it?”

Kagura (Thinks before answering): “… No, I would not ask you to do it…”

Arc (Looks a bit confused): “Why?”

Kagura: (Frowns a bit): “Because… it’s hard to admit it but if Naraku had not done what he did, I would not have become lonely or sad or even known what true loneliness is all about. It’s because of that loneliness that I was able to meet you, even though it hurts to have that memory, I would not change it, I wouldn’t want to risk NOT meeting you. Not meeting you… thinking about my life without you is more scarier and more painful than what Naraku did…”

Arc (Smiles): “Kagura… “

Kagura (Kisses him, then says): “Please, don’t say anything… just hold me.”

And that he did, those words meant more for him than anything, she loved him so much she would willingly live with her past as it is so she would not risk anything from this present moment. In the silence of them room, both shed small tears for the love they felt one another; this was the one night that would forever be carved into they’re memories…

*End Flashback*

Arc tightened his hold on the necklace and could feel tears beginning to fall from his eyes. At that time, everything had been great… no, it had all been perfect, everything had been right and perfect, but then, on that day, 4 months ago…

Before he could think any further, a voice said behind him: “Can’t sleep huh, son?” It was his dad, Inuyasha. Arc quickly wiped the tears away and then looked over his shoulder and said with a low voice: “Yeah… this might be my last night here after all.” Inuyasha walked to his son, he knew what he was feeling like right now; any mate would be jumping all over the walls right now if they were in Arcs shoes. These past 4 months had been hell on all of them but, not one of their pains was greater than his sons right now. Inuyasha still could not believe that tomorrow his son would probably leave this house forever…

No one, not one of them; not one of them could have seen this coming, that all this would actually happen, during these past 4 months Arc had changed so much. His preparations had made him to go from a shy, timid little boy to a true Youkai male with a mate. He still was shy and timid around him, Kagome and Kagura but no one else could make that shy, timid side of him come out except the three of them. Inuyasha wasn’t sure whether to be proud or worried about his sons changes, he knew that what lied ahead of his son would require him to have a steel like nerves and a tough exterior but… he knew it was pointless to worry about it at this point but his instincts as a father just wouldn’t let him rest.

Inuyasha sat down next to his son and put his arm around his shoulders and pulled against his shoulder, then he said with a father like voice: “Son, you know that once you go you’re on your own but, don’t be scared… You have prepared for 4 moths just for this day; your skills, Youkai senses and abilities, not to mention your purifying powers have also improved very much. I’m proud of you; you’ve come far in such a short amount of time.” Arc just sighed and said: “But… I’m still nervous, I’m just scared about what is going to happen when I get there. Just thinking about it makes my arms tremble…”

Inuyasha just tightened his hold on him and said with a stern voice: “You will be fine, son… after all, the reason you’re going there is more important than anything else, correct?” Arc gasped, his dad was right, he couldn’t afford to be afraid now; he had to be strong, no matter what he had to be strong, both mentally and physically, or else all of his preparing will have been for nothing. He clenched his hands into fists and said while standing up and looking at the moon: “You’re right dad, my reason for going; nothing else matters to me at this point, I will be strong, I HAVE to be strong. I can’t afford to let fear overtake me now, not after all that’s happened; I am going and I will accomplish what I’m going to do, or I will die trying…”

At that moment, Inuyasha felt his inner demon howl with pride, even at his human night, his son when given a reason could go from soft to iron hard in a heartbeat. He would make an excellent pack leader like Inuyasha himself had been if he could just keep that iron hard state of mind, the state where no mountain was too high for him to climb or no plain was too vast to cross, and no danger could stray him from his destination…

Inuyasha then also stood up and said to him with a proud smirk: “And don’t you forget that son, or i will give the biggest, most painful and without a doubt most humiliating spanking you can think of…” Arc looked at his dad with wide eyes and after a moment of silence said with a smirk: “You try that you old bastard dog and I’ll show you that this little puppy bites back… HARD.” It was Inuyasha’s turn to be silent for a moment and then he burst into a roaring laughter, Arc too began to laugh and after they settled down Inuyasha suddenly tossed something at Arc, Inuyasha was pleasantly surprised when his son caught it without trouble. It seems like even as a human his reflexes and reaction time was above that of an average human.

Arc looked at what his father had tossed him and gasped. He looked at his dad and asked: “Are you sure? Isn’t it a bit early for me to have this? I mean, you already gave that…” Inuyasha just shrugged and said: “Well, considering I may not see you again, you might as well have all the firepower you can carry; that thing saved my and your mothers life countless times. You cannot use Toukiji since the seal still hasn’t been lifted and considering that even your mother can’t do anything about it, don’t you think it’s better to have something you can use to at least some degree?” There was a moment of silence and then Arc gripped what his father had tossed him more firmly and said with a nod: “You’re right dad… thanks.” Inuyasha just said with a wide grin: “Of course I’m right you idiot, I’m your dad after all and you’re still so horribly predictable.” Arc looked at this dad with an evil glare; he just laughed and taunted him: “You know something? That glare might scare anyone else but me; I have endured your mothers glare for god knows how long and you know how scary that is.”

Both burst into another laughter, then his dad said before leaving: “I’ll miss you son, don’t go die out there; I want to you to come back alive, understood?” Arc just nodded and kept looking at the moon. Tomorrow… he still had hard time believing he was really going. He felt cold shivers run up and down his spine but he kept focusing on the reason he was going. He then thought with an iron hard determination:

‘{[=Kagura, I swear to gods I’ll find you. No matter what, I’ll find you; and kill whoever the son of a bitch is who took you away from me…=]}
