Disclaimer : I do not own nor make any monies off of Inuyasha and the gang. No, that pleasure completely belongs to the Goddess Rumiko Takahashi. I am only using them for pure entertainment value.
A/N: hopefully I wrote that correctly to mean ‘Dog Doll’. An odd tale about Inuyasha as a doll, a plushie in fact. Haven’t yet decided if it will be dark-dark or not. Looking for an evil B-word Kikyou? Nope, she’s not here. Looking for Inu/Kik romance – also not here, I’m a Inu/Kag shipper all the way. Looking for a sexual molester Miroku? Won’t find him here. In this story he Respects Women - but he will be hentai with Sango, his wife.
WARNING: Much OOC-ness!! And AU all the way!! Contains Distrubing images not for the sensitive!! Will contain lemons in later chapters. Will contain ecchi (limey parts and strawberries) Will be swearing.
It’s my first try at a multi-chaptered story and an AU at that!
A Very HUGE Thank you to the totally amazing writer Silent Sky (You Rock) who graciously gave me permission to use her idea of Telepathy in my story. Thank you so very much! Thank you to my dear friend KnittingKnots for providing me with the “Spell/Chant” that Kikyou screams that changes Inuyasha.
Inu no Ningyou 犬の人形
Prologue
Thunder clashed overhead as the sky rapidly darkened thrusting the once cheerful clearing into ominous shadows. Two shadowy forms could be made out as they moved with purpose in the forest that border this clearing. They knew each other; had fought before together. They could easily, and without communication, understand the attack or defend moves of the other.
Right now, they had to hurry and take down this latest and final monster.
A gross mixture of other youkai, oni, and ningen that slid and oozed about like the roiling of waves upon an ocean as the vaguely humanoid shape moved. Sometimes the face was one or the other. . . or any combination of parts. The two things that never changed on this ever shifting, moving being were its eyes and hair. Long black coiling locks of the blackest pitch spilled and coiled down its back to its knees that gave the impression of being leeches or eels.
The sunken eyes, the colour of aged sickly blood, bore out from underneath heavy brows. Its skin the colour of pale fat maggots. Oily bangs dripped down its forehead to cause relief with its shadows. Its gender at first glance from the front wasn’t easy to tell. If one could get pass the stomach-turning and nausea-encouraging shifting of pieces to look more closely one could see it was a male.
This thing – an abomination created of all that is evil and inhumane – had been at one time all human.
He was once a good human male with a good heart. Who sought to battle against the depravities and injustices towards his fellow man and he had gone by the name Onigumo. He tried for so long with words to get the people to rise up and take care of one another, to live in peace and harmony with nature and the supernatural beings that lived with them.
Onigumo was a twenty-three year old, handsome lean man of almost six feet with long black-brown layered hair that reached the middle of his back. He wore his bangs swept off his face to the sides with the unruly couple of locks that graced his forehead. His large eyes were a joyful deep brown closer to black. His lips full and lush. He was strong but most of his strength lay with his calming words and passionate heart.
He even had the support of a beloved woman, in private –his wife- a beautiful priestess named Kikyou of great powers in his cause. She was a kindly and just woman with long straight black hair with luxurious deep brown highlights. Porcelain skin that would glow. Her sparkling eyes were the richest shade of warm brown framed by long black lashes. Tall like her husband her head just reaching his full lips when they stood. Her lips were more of a rose-bud shape and coloured a reddish pink.
She so loved children but due to some trauma in her late childhood was rendered sterile. So she took in orphans from around and raised them as her own along with her loving husband Onigumo. One of their many children was a little girl named Kaede who Kikyou had begun to train as a priestess as well when she showed the talent and powers for it just a few years ago. Together they strove to gain a goal that, in the future, would be known as World Peace.
Oh, how, they loved each other and while he may not have had the greatest of spiritual powers like his beloved Kikyou, but he could still help and do priestly rituals. He even introduced Kikyou to a wounded lonely hanyou that he had befriended a couple of summers back as he helped him to regain his strength.
This near adult hanyou was a rare sight as normally hanyou were killed right at birth by the youkai mother or father (depending on the species/race), abandoned by parents who couldn’t handle the constant cruelty of their former friends and neighbours. Or were killed later on by either humans for being demons or by demons for being human. He had survived eighteen turns of the seasons and was incredibly powerful. Gaining a fanged sword from his father after he had turned sixteen he carved his place in the world through fear and intimidation.
He told the couple his name was InuYasha, given to him by his youkai father upon his birth and his father’s following death. He told them he was an Inu hanyou of the Silver Inu Youkai race which explained why he had silver hair. He also had upright dog ears upon his head instead of the normal human ears or the more elfish ears of the youkai. He had claws that were inhumanly sharp and deadly yet would be the gentlest of pressure when he handled delicate human flesh. His inhuman golden eyes with their cat-like slits for pupils sent many shivers down both Kikyou’s and Onigumo’s spines reminding them too much of a predator hunting as he look intently at them.
He never removed his clothing while in their presence even when wounded but would allow for Kikyou and Onigumo to bandage his wounds upon his arms and legs when needed after raising the usual red clothing up enough. He had explained to them they were a gift from his father to his mother and then to him when she passes away. Woven fabrics made from the fur of fire rat youkai and sewn by spider youkai it would act better than any armour humans would wear for war. He told them once when Kikyou gasped at his lack of a scar after removing bandages from a wound one day that he wouldn’t ever show any scars with his youkai healing.
Kikyou remarked that Silver Inu youkai were of the most noble of races she’s heard of. . . and the hardest to kill. That usually it would take an army with several priests and priestesses to defeat even one and for a mated pair double that number. Usually it resulted in very heavy causalities and very high numbers of dead for the humans.
Together the three of them would try to help whomever they could. They would laugh and joke and argue many a time during their fast friendship about ways to improve life for themselves and others. The arguments were usually about the pursuit of Peace and the fact that it looked like such a pointless waste of energy according to InuYasha where Onigumo would calmly explained they had to keep trying even to reach but one person it was worth the effort. Onigumo would clasp InuYasha’s clawed hand in his and always say serenely, “One person can make a difference.”
Onigumo was so secured in the trust and love that he shared with Kikyou that he never felt the sharp bitter taste of jealousy when InuYasha and Kikyou would go off together running errands, spend time just talking or protect the village from low-level youkai.
Kikyou had expressed that she is very curious about the Inu hanyou and wanted to know as much about his life as possible, she even asked if he had come across any orphaned hanyou that she could take in as her own. Unfortunately InuYasha told her he normally only found the badly mauled bodies of tiny hanyou children and he would hold her as she wept for the lost of innocent lives. Those times she would cry herself asleep and he would bring her home to her hut and with help from her concerned husband put her to bed and drop a kiss to her brow while saying, “Have a dreamless sleep, my pack sister.”
Onigumo would rest his hand upon the younger male’s shoulder and thank him for being a part of their family which ended up with InuYasha blushing madly and Keh-ing multiple times. Then they would retire to the eating room and discuss the events and make plans to improve the future.
However, Evil had its own agenda and it needed to remove the threat that Onigumo presented. It was upset that its carefully cultivated discord and stoking of hatred for one another was being ever so slowly pushed back. Its feeding grounds of murdered souls and bodies was very slowly disappearing. Evil begot more Evil and if there was less deeds, acts and words of Evil being used and produced its strength would wane until it could no longer walk this plane and directly influence the creatures around it. No it had to stop this advance against its cause and fast. . . but how was the question how to do this and make them all suffer terribly while doing this?
These were the questions that went through Evil’s mind as it slid and oozed about a recent battlefield leaving a trail of rot and decay behind it as it violated the bodies both dead and dying with its multiple proboscis sucking noisily out the souls, bones, brains, flesh and blood. When it came upon a dying man, it thrilled and orgasm to the tormented screams that the soul, mind and throat all made as it sloppily ate making sure to make it as painful and as horrible as possible.
Even though Onigumo, Kikyou and InuYasha couldn’t see the results of their efforts - the slow spread of peace unity with youkai and the natural world with the human race it was moving along. More and more people who used to kill youkai and wildlife just because they were there stopped doing this.
Instead, they now observed these beings to see what threat they actually presented if any and once they saw that many were just doing what they naturally do to survive in their life they would leave the being alone. If the animal or youkai showed signs of ‘summer madness’*, injuries or age that rendered it incapable of fending or feeding itself beyond seeking the easy prey of man and their livestock or were just predisposition towards eating and killing men that they would arrange for the death of these youkai/animals. Over these ended lives, they would bury and say prayers for so that they could also find the peace in their afterlife that eluded them in life.
Then one day this nameless Evil saw an opportunity it couldn’t pass up. There walking alone and his soul teetering on the edges of darkness was Onigumo. He had come into the forest to confront and accept his sorrows then to push them back where they would do no harm to his heart in his struggle for peace and unity. The Evil slid from shadow to shadow as it followed one that it hated for so long. Its own darkness making the blackened shadows deeper and more threatening as it moved along avoiding the direct sunlight with its joyous warmth and tender love it slunk closer to its target. Close enough to hear the words of sorrow and grief from the man known as Onigumo as he sunk to his knees.
“Kikyou, how I wish I could heal you and give you the babes I know you so desperately want to give me. How you never complain nor allow for the feelings to bother you when you are awake but I know when you sleep you cry so for the arms empty of a small life, for the breasts empty of nurturing milk, of the miracle bond between mother and infant while they nurse. I know how you long to hear the sounds of your own children’s laughter as they run and play, how you long to dry the tears of your own children when they hurt themselves and come to you for comfort.
“I know you do not love the little ones we have taken in any less, but when we have to go and bless a new life or help bring that new life into the world; I can see that longing in your eyes. I have seen the devastated look on your face when you miss your monthly blood time and the start of hope that my seed has taken root within your soil only to have your blood time come months later. You try to hide it well, but I catch you. Even InuYasha has caught this when you have gone to him to ask if he can scent the new life you yearn that grows within only to have him turn those sad knowing eyes at you and shake his head.
“I know you get so very tired at times with our non-stop struggling to make the world a better place. That you wish at times to be a normal woman and wife and yet you say nothing but stick by my side day after day after day as strong and as tall as any warrior I know. We, me and InuYasha, know that you feel sorrow for our lives, our battles and the cruelties we face daily.
“I am shameful my beloved wife and dearest friend. I am keeping these grievances to myself instead of sharing them. Alas what kind of friend would I be to laden your already burdened shoulders with my troubles? So here I am hiding from you both to let myself weep out and accept my sorrows before joining you again. . .” the last was said as soft tears wet his face before burying his face in his hands. And then he allowed his soul and heart to release their pent up agony.
The Evil blacker than black, colder than the ice of the mountains in dead of winter awaited the correct moment – the moment when his protected soul and heart would be at their very vulnerable to make its attack. It coiled and surged about behind the weeping man quivering in its anticipation of creating greater harm and foul deeds.
Had Onigumo not been so prideful in his facing of his inner demons he would have felt the sudden soul chilling cold that was behind him. Had he not been so deep within his tears he could have erected a quick barrier to his inner heart and prevented the horror that was to happen next. But Onigumo was quite simply, a human. And humans all have faults.
THERE!!
The nameless Evil lunged forward and speared Onigumo in the back quickly embedded backwards facing claws into the supple spine to ensure its victim couldn’t escape.
It made thick tentacles out of its body and slid these tentacles under his clothing with a sick parody of a lovers’ caress slowly dragged those cold, dead feeling appendages along the hidden flesh. Those tentacles not inside Onigumo’s clothing wrapped about his wrists and ankles slowly spreading the limbs apart and away from the rest of his body. It wanted its victim to be in as much pain as possible when it finally took over the body.
Onigumo tried to fight but it was useless the Evil had moved upon him too fast and had trapped him too effectively. He felt sick to his stomach as he felt the tentacles touching his body in the manner Kikyou would when she wanted him to fill her with his seed. The flesh felt so cold. . . so incredibly dead. He arched his back in an attempt to get away unfortunately his move allowed for the tentacles to gain more ground. He kept his jaw shut tight refusing to give voice to the terror he was experiencing.
The Nameless Evil radiated its pleasure as it extended hair-thin tendrils inside Onigumo’s body allowing for the complete engulfing of his bones. It wrapped another tentacle about its victim’s throat while another two laved at his ears, tickling the gold earring on the left side. . . Soon it would become one with Onigumo and the forces of Good would lose a valuable warrior making its darkness much stronger than before. With his powers it could hurt, terrorize and ravish more people than before. It could now fed on living souls and life forces instead of those of the dying and dead.
Onigumo snarled out his rebellion and denial to the creature surrounding him. He would not give in so easily even though it was already too late. He tried to summon his spiritual powers to attack and get the thing off of him. It was working slowly but the Evil had too much hold on him. . .
Yessssssss, that’sssssss it. Fight usssssss. Ussssssse your ssssssstrength now in one blow againsssssst usssssss. Then we will take you over and you will become one of ussssssss for all time.
Doing exactly what it wanted, Onigumo concentrated all his powers for a one shot attack. It moved its tentacles about his body faster, sensually, seductively. . . Letting a tentacle slip up between Onigumo’s legs to stroke the soft sensitive flesh there making its victim whimper in disgust. Making the soft member harden up in response to the touches until it was finally fully erect and throbbing for more.
Finally, Onigumo couldn’t take it anymore; his body reacting instinctively from the unwanted touches, his mind splintering unable to cope, he struck out. In that moment when he struck out the Nameless Evil struck back. Sending its many tentacles into the writhing body through every orifice it filled Onigumo with its evil and darkness. Those tentacles all began to slide in and out of where they entered – slowly increasing the pace as the nameless Evil continued to violate its victim. Onigumo’s blood soon added for lubrication from his ears, anus and penis letting the pulsing tentacles to move more freely. Once inside the body the tentacles began pulsing as they moved before excreting a liquid that soaked into every bit of flesh and blood. Onigumo couldn’t keep back the scream that ripped through his throat and made it out past the pulsing tentacle. His eyes had blacker than black water-like substance seep across until nothing was seen from the opened lids. The black water then retreated back into the brown iris of Onigumo’s eyes slowly turning them shade of red like dried blood with freshly split blood red flecks in them.
Once the Evil had penetrated every fibre of Onigumo’s being and body it faded from sight. The man crumpled to the ground breathing heavily for several long minutes before a truly cruel chuckle escaped the now thinned out lips that slowly curled into a hateful smile.
The battle had gone on for too long, they were beginning to lose their physical strength equally because of the blood loss and just sheer exhaustion. But they would never allow the Creature before them to enter the village – the horrors, death and desolate waste it would leave in its wake – unthinkable! They had to stop it here and now. InuYasha was currently facing the Evil that was (or can it be still?) Onigumo but at a short dash distance apart. Kikyou was standing on shaky legs much further away from where she had landed when her beloved Onigumo had thrown her with his last attack.
InuYasha was sweating and panting with effort and pain, his fangs clenched tightly together as his clawed hands tighten their grip on the blood slickened tsukaito and ho. The once brilliant silver thick fur that resided in place of the tsuba now a dripping red as his blood soaked the fur and weighed it down. His own blood. It dripped and trickled down his sides, his arms, his legs. . . It dripped off his chin and made streaks of bright red in his luxurious silvery mane. His ears plastered tightly to his skull escaped the bloody colouring job. His body was battered and bruised, he knew he had at least two cracked ribs and a quickly swelling cheek.
He knew Kikyou was seriously if not gravely injured. He didn’t catch the actual talon ended tentacle that slashed open Kikyou’s shoulder and back but he caught her blood scent as it suddenly exploded into the air about them mixing swiftly with his own blood scent. It put him into a rage, his pack sister was wounded and needed help. He needed to get her to a healer and fast if she was to have any chance of survival.
“Kikyou!! Back the fuck off! Go get yourself help! I’m okay! I’ll take care of this bastard in no time at all!!” he roared at his dearest pack sister. He was glad she couldn’t scent the lies that came from his mouth as he could feel his strength and life ebbing away with each drop that fell to the earth about him.
This battle had to end now!
The combined blood scents were driving the Inu hanyou insane with his rage making him reckless in his attacks. Taking chances that lead to more wounds upon his body. He prepared himself for one final attack. He wished his sword had more abilities, more attacks in which he protect his friends, his pack. He could feel his Tessaiga as it sought to aid him in his desperate time of need. . . but it seemed that there was a seal upon his fabled fanged sword. A seal he had no time to figure out nor break. A seal that prevented his victory and Kikyou’s survival.
Kikyou steeled herself against the rending pain and centered herself. This was going to be the final bit of her strength - both physical and spiritual. Inuyasha was losing the battle with her one time beloved, his mighty fang-like sword steadily getting lower and lower to the ground with each minute the battle ensued. The puddles of blood about his body getting bigger and when her once-beloved prepared to strike the killing blow with a massive amount of Dark Priest Spiritual power and evil jyaki, Kikyou knew what needed to be done.
Channelling everything she had left into her last arrow, she pulled the bow string back further than she had before. It had to be perfect! Inuyasha had to survive! He was her dearest friend and companion. A brother–in-arms in battle and he had so much to live for. She let her lifeblood soak onto the arrow shaft and head embedding her life force to the powers she was concentrating. Inuyasha might be, no will be so very upset with her once he awakens from this spell but at least he’ll be alive! He hasn’t met his true love and soul mate yet! Kikyou has had visions of his future, of his true love and knows he destined for even greater things. She is waiting for him and will need him for her future and her heart. As she concentrated her powers, Kikyou prayed that Kaede would get the scroll in time and understand what needed to be done.
Kikyou let her powers build and build until she reached the threshold of no return and went screaming past it for her powers. If she were not already dying from her grievous shoulder and chest wounds this burst of power would have killed her. Every fibre of her being including her soul was feeling like it was being unravelled slowly and set on fire. She wanted to scream out her agony to the heavens and seven hells to hear. But she kept her mouth tightly screwed shut.
In her mind, she chanted the spell that would save Inuyasha’s life with the strike of her arrow.
‘NAMO BHAGAVATE
TRAILOKYA PRATIVISISTAYA
BUDDHAYA BHAGAVATE.
TADYATHA, OM,
VISUDDHAYA-VISUDDHAYA,
ASAMA-SAMA
SAMANTAVABHASA- SPHARANA
GATI GAHANA SVABHAVA VISUDDHE,
ABHINSINCATU MAM.’
With each repetition of the spell in her mind, it grew louder and louder, more powerful than the previous chant and strength.
‘NAMO BHAGAVATE
TRAILOKYA PRATIVISISTAYA
BUDDHAYA BHAGAVATE!
TADYATHA, OM,
VISUDDHAYA-VISUDDHAYA,
ASAMA-SAMA
SAMANTAVABHASA- SPHARANA
GATI GAHANA SVABHAVA VISUDDHE,
ABHINSINCATU MAM!’
She had to wait –oh, gods, the pain– she could feel her very bones inside her body cracking and splintering apart. She had to wait for the perfect moment. Please Kami, oh sweet Kami above, please let it be now. . .
Then she could see the perfect moment happen as if in slow motion. The monstrosity unleashed its final strike of power along with its tentacles into InuYasha’s body and she struck herself as the two bodies were temporarily connected.
Kikyou let fly the super charged arrow glowing a neon lava crimson colour with her blood and powers. Its flight scorching the very air in its path leaving a sooty trail behind and it struck true. Hitting Inuyasha in the back making the Inu hanyou arc his back, throw his arms wide out to the side, and scream in tormented agony before the arrow burst through his chest to enter the tentacle so both were equally pierced. Kikyou screamed as powerfully as she could with her final breath.
“NAMO BHAGAVATE
TRAILOKYA PRATIVISISTAYA
BUDDHAYA BHAGAVATE!!!
TADYATHA, OM,
VISUDDHAYA-VISUDDHAYA,
ASAMA-SAMA
SAMANTAVABHASA- SPHARANA
GATI GAHANA SVABHAVA VISUDDHE,
ABHINSINCATU MAM!!!”
And the world went nuclear white.
The star-burst blast was so powerful that once the smoke cleared away in several days time a huge crater would remain. Of Kikyou, she had coughed up dark blood and fell face forward into the pool of her slowly drying blood, dead. Her eyes glazed over and a soft smile on her face. Of InuYasha, there was no sign except a rather oddly pristine silvery hair caught on a branch of a low bush. Of Onigumo, Kikyou’s beloved and the creature he became there was an just oily slick residue left that the villagers buried swiftly in fear of touching it would cause evil to befall them.
Buried much too quickly in their fear and completely forgetting the need for prayer and seals upon the site. The villagers left just as quickly taking with them the body of their beloved priestess Kikyou. No one looked once behind them. If they had, they would have seen something that would frighten them more. The ground pulsed and moved like a heartbeat for a moment before stilling again.
The funeral was held and Kikyou’s body was burned in honour and her ashes spread about the village perimeter so she may continue to protect her village even after death.
Kaede the eldest at 10 years old lead her many siblings back to their hut accompanied by silent grieving. The little ones barely old enough to walk for long periods wouldn’t understand why Mother, Father and Big Dog Brother weren’t going to return. . . ever.
