“The last shard of the jewel, you have it, don’t you? Give it to me!” Kagome’s arms shook when she heard these words, even though they weren’t directed at her. The Japanese teenager was watching the fight in the forest clearing before her, safely standing behind a small grouping of rocks, her brown eyes darting over her target. The strain from holding an arrow notched in place was wearing on her, but she had to be ready for anything. They were counting on her!
The dark haired girl had been trying to find an opening among the swift moving bodies, but every time she’d tried so far, her speeding arrow had been deflected by a liquid blue shield that was as strong as steel. She had to keep trying, but with the fight picking up speed, Kagome was afraid of accidentally hitting one of her friends. ‘I just need a clear shot. Come on Inuyasha!’
