So, I decided to finally re-re-read this and change some of the things I've been meaning to get after for a while. Nothing major; just some grammatical re-polishing. I did add a few funny lines to make things smoother than they were before. So, feel free to explore my story again if it's been a while. If the font's too small, let me know. (03/06/2013)

HOTT (hŏT häT hah-T): adj. hott·ness. Informal. sexually attractive; sexually excited or exciting; sexy; RAWR; Slang. In reference of an object seen as an optimal, sexually pleasing specimen. User often, internally or externally, grunts or growls out word. Oftentimes exclaiming, for instance, “Damn! He's not just hot, he's hoTT!” Although emphasis on word is 'hah', the user could punctuate the 'T' in closing so as to emphasize the degree of hottness.

“Hey, let me down here!”
He grunted and yelled over his shoulder, “Why? It'd be quicker!”
“I need the exercise!”
“Pfff!” Flying over the branches, he noticed a nice opening and leaped towards the blowing grasses down below.
“Like you need it!” he scoffed, landing in the blustery meadow just below a broad hill. The breeze was a welcome relief to the muggy heat the day was throwing at them; it was a hot one, too. 'It feels better up in the air. Why the hell would she want to walk?'
Kagome laughed, “Well, if you keep carrying me around all the time, I'm going to get fat!”*
Rolling his eyes, he squeezed the outside of her thighs above the knees. It was his silent signal that she could let go, but the light sweat from her legs caused his hands to slide down and hook her knees right as she let go to touch down. She had already unhooked her arms from around him and the delayed release of knees caused her to be, “Ooph!”, unceremoniously dumped on her ass.
“Aww, shit!” Knowing the outcome the instant his hands slipped, he whirled around and paused and couldn't help but chuckle at the sight before him. Leaning on one side with one knee bent before her, Kagome rubbed her butt with a hand, “Ow.” Her skirt was dangerously close to revealing the color of the underwear she wore, but the grass was about knee high and did a great job of hiding a lot from him. It did, however, seem to showcase her legs well. His eyes ran over her upper calves, knees, and thighs when another gust of wind blew through the meadow, obstructing his view. She seemed to be off in another world as she watched the tall lush, green grass sing, whorl, and hiss around them. Occasionally, a wildflower would swirl by on the unpredictable wind and catch her attention, bringing a small smile to her face.
Inuyasha chuckled, getting her attention again, and grinned when a pretty pink fanned across her cheeks. “Sorry,” he said and reached down, offering her his hand.
His shadow shielded her from the sun and, looking up blushing, she was taken back a moment upon seeing the hot, yellow sun pierce through his silver locks giving the impression of silver and gold spun together. The wind whooshed around them again and, as a result, his glittering mane whipped around him dramatically. Even though the hot sun beat down unforgivably upon his back, his shaded golden eyes glimmered even brighter down on her, sparkling with mischievous mirth.
If he hadn't been the reason for her day turning out so well, she would have sat him for laughing at her, but instead she rolled her eyes and accepted his hand, smiling. “Thanks.”
With a good natured smirk, he nodded and went to grab her hand to pull her up. Normally when he touched her he'd feel light tingles trickle up and down his spine, but in this instance a statically charged and violent pop cracked between the two, shocking his alert nerves. He'd never admit it, but he had been anticipating the touch of her hand. So when the static shocked his system he hissed and jerked his hand away momentarily. He knew she had nothing to do with the spark, but his body reacted as if she had personally rejected him and quickly caught her hand again, yanking her up to crash into his muscular chest. The need to hold her overwhelmed him and, breathing in deeply, he couldn't help but to nuzzle his nose into her hair, 'Damn! She smells great...'
With her heart slamming inside her chest, she shivered when his arms wrapped around her and gasped when his nose buried its way into her ebony locks. His hands clutched her damp shirt and she gasped when she realized how grimy she was, “Sorry, I'm all sweaty!”
Blinking rapidly he let her go and stammered, “Well–! It is like... two hundred degrees out here. You, uhh... you sure you want to walk the rest of the way?”
Blushing, she turned towards the hill side, hiding her face, “Yeah, I need to stretch my legs a bit.” She distractedly watched a red flower float by and locked her fingers in front of her, stretching her arms straight above her head and putting her whole body into it, even her toes.
Admiring the view, he sighed and heard a familiar voice speak innocently inside his head, 'I know a way you can help stretch her legs.'
'Oh god,' he mentally whined.
'Specifically, those smooth upper thighs–'
'– Not now!'
'– as you spread them!' his evil conscience finished happily.
'Damn you,' he grumbled inside.
Arching her spine, she groaned and lost her balance a little, stumbling forward a bit. She corrected her gait and slowly started the climb up the shallow hill.
Shaking his head a little, he quickly caught up to her and walked by her side as she determinedly went along the gradual incline.
As he walked, he glanced down at his sheathed fang strapped to his hip and the memory of the despicable, sharp toothed demon breaking his Tessaiga in half flashed through his mind. To say that he was not the same after his long passed battle with Goshinki was an understatement. He had begun hearing his demon within his thoughts after he had transformed for that first time, which had now been a couple years. No one knew, and no one needed to know as far as he was concerned. He had everything mostly under control. He had made damn sure early on that his demon realize that Kagome, especially Kagome, the runt, Miroku, Sango, Kirara and his growing list of friends and allies were not to be harmed. He knew he had scared them a few times, but also knew that his pack trusted him with their lives, even if he lost it every now and then. With time, his inner battle became much more manageable. Instead of being terrible, overbearing, and trying to take over, it was now like having a little demon on his shoulder, telling him how he should instinctively do something.
The problem was that lately, like today, his damn demon was persistently whispering dirty things to him, pointing out her physical attributes, and literally yelling at him about needing to claim his best friend as his mate. Having someone yell at you in person was one thing, but when it was inside your own head… let’s just say he’d embarrassed himself plenty of times by screaming back.
So now his mind was littered with naughty scenarios involving her and constantly in the gutter. He realized that, between his demon and Miroku, he was now an official member of the group classified as “Pervert”. He did his best to keep this tad bit of information from everyone, especially Kagome, but now he was certain the damn monk knew.

*~*Flashback: A Few Days Ago*~*
Inuyasha was walking towards the river when he heard his friend sigh for the hundredth time. Swinging around, he growled “Knock it off, Miroku! You're the one that got us into this mess, so shut the hell up!”
The monk dodged the swinging water pail that was aimed at his face, “No need to be violent, my friend!” Watching the hanyou's eye twitch angrily, he continued quickly, “I know this is all my fault, but I couldn't help myself. What would any healthy, warm-blooded man have done in my stead?”
“I dunno; not grab her ass? She was the innkeeper's daughter for crying out loud!”
“But, Inuyasha, how can you be so cold?! She was so cute! I did it for all of mankind!” he replied opening his twitching hands skyward.
“Yeah well, we're staying at his inn, Your Saviorness. The least you could do is not get us kicked out of it! You just better be glad that guy actually believes in this ghost you're lying about, and that we only have to get water for him!” Starting again towards the river, Miroku followed after him.
“But this is the second trip already! These things are heavy!” Inuyasha jerked to a stop and glared at his friend, making a point to look left and right on his shoulders at his own six pails balanced on the large bamboo stick and Miroku's two.
“Point taken...”
“Come on, Stupid. We need to make two more rounds and then we'll be done. Although, I should make you do this by yourself,” he glared.
Smiling sheepishly, Miroku walked beside Inuyasha, “You think Sango's mad?”
“Yup,” he said simply.
“I'm so misunderstood,” he sighed.
Cocking an eyebrow, “No, I think you're perfectly understood, Shithead,” he replied half jokingly. Inuyasha chuckled, “What did you expect? She was standing right there when you molested the girl!”
Coming to a clearing, the two jerked to a stop. About ten feet from the river bank stood a very naked Kagome waist deep in the flowing water. She had apparently just come up from a dunk because the cool water was streaming down her lithe body and her eyes were closed from the water running down her face. Flinging her wet hair over her shoulder, sparkling water sprayed around her glistening body as she rubbed and wiped her eyes.
Gasping, Inuyasha grabbed the gaping and star struck monk by the collar and jerked the two of them to the ground behind the bushes. Whispering furiously, “How the hell didn't I sense her!?”
“Boobs...” he heard from Miroku's drooling face. Growling, he smashed the monk's face into the dirt.
“That's mine to look at, pervert!” while he himself looked again at the nymph sighing happily in the cool river.
With his face ground into the crunchy dirt, Miroku smirked and whispered “You do realized how funny that is, right? I mean you're calling me a pervert while you're – ooph!” Inuyasha bonked his fist a couple times on the monk's head before he smashed it into the dirt again.
'Kami', her breasts had tightened and her nipples had hardened into little top hats. Hearing the monk groan almost too loudly, he released his face and glared menacingly at him. Looking back at Kagome, he whimpered softly as his sharp eyesight caught little clear jewels of water clinging maddeningly to Kagome's tightened peaks, collecting to form and drop back down into the river.
Hearing a light chuckle, Inuyasha's head swung back to look at his partner-in-crime who was smiling and eying him knowingly. Smirking, Miroku whined softly, “Hey, hey, hey! There's only room for one creepy pervert in this group! And that's meeee! Around here, I'm the one who drools over all the ladies!”
Inuyasha glared at his friend. Blushing he blurted, “Well, I don't drool over all the ladies, just Kagome.”
“Ahh, a specialist, eh?”
The hanyou rolled his eyes, “Yeah, you should try it sometime, Idiot!”
Splashing water brought his eyes back to the river; she had dove underwater again. Blushing, he quickly stood and grabbed Miroku again by the collar and flew back into the woods, leaving behind the buckets in his hurry. Once they were a safe distance away, he slowed down in a bright clearing and released the purple-faced, choking monk.
Turning towards the direction of the river, the wind suddenly picked up and blew his silver hair around and into his face, “We're upwind, damn! No wonder... Still! I shoulda known she was there!”
Taking deep breaths and trying to recover from the hanyou's rough treatment, Miroku gasped, “Who cares?”
“What do ya mean 'Who cares'? I do! I was careless and let you distract me!”
“Distract you? Inuyasha! Are you forgetting that we just saw the lovely Kagome half naked!?”
“No! How the hell could I forget!?”
Grinning, he kept ragging on his friend, “Don't tell me you didn't enjoy the view, cause I saw you! You were whimpering like a little puppy–”
“Shut it, monk!”
“– and I saw your face when you saw her wonderful boobs!”
More heat rushed to his pink cheeks, “Damn it Miroku, of course I saw her! I'm not blind!”
“Well that's good to hear, cause sometimes I wonder.”
Inuyasha rolled his eyes and barked, “Now what the hell is that supposed to mean?”
“Well, Kagome's a beautiful woman –certainly without her clothes on– and sometimes, my friend, it seems as if you're clueless.”
Inuyasha swatted the air as some gnats buzzed around his head and sighed exasperatedly, “Of course she's fucking beautiful! I'm not dead, monk! And I'm not blind or clueless! With all the time we've spent together, with her riding behind me, you think I'm clueless? Feh!”
Pausing to sniff at the wind, “What if she finds out about this? She's gonna sit me to kingdom come!” Gulping nervously, he caused the flying bugs to swirl uncontrollably in their flight as he blew out “This is all your fault –”
“– Oh here we go again,” scoffed Miroku. Rolling his eyes heavenward, “Easy killer! Listen, Inuyasha, it's not that big of a deal. Look at me? I saw her boobs and I don't care who knows it.”
“You better care! Because, if Kagome finds out, I'm taking you down with me. And when I take someone down, they stay down! Hey! Are you listening to me!?”
Miroku's eyes were staring dreamily up into the hot summer sky, “Mmmm, boobs...”
“Will ya stop calling them that!”
“Well what do you want me to call––”
“Them! Call them, them!”
At that moment, Kagome trotted out of the forest startling Inuyasha, causing him to gasp, breathe in one of the bugs, and start coughing and choking violently.
“Hey guys!” Her eyes lit up spotting Inuyasha and she laughed “What are you two doing out here bickering like an old married couple?”
“Ohhh, nothing!” replied Miroku, slapping the hacking hanyou's back.
Hunched over and wheezing, Inuyasha choked out, “water” and started coughing again.
Kagome watched with concern as his face got darker red from his hard coughs, “Water? Do you want some water? I can go get some!”
As she turned, Inuyasha realized that he left their water buckets back by the river and screamed, “No!”
'That's all I need; for her to find the evidence that we were right there!''
She turned back towards him with an exasperated expression and taking deep breaths, trying to steady his lungs, he said hoarsely, “We, uh, we were going to get water.”
Miroku popped in, “That's right! We were going to get water and we stopped because Inuyasha sensed that you were bathing. We were waiting for you to finish! Isn't he considerate?” The goofy monk smiled brightly, knowing his comment would make his friend blush.
Kagome looked at the guys, a little unnerved by Miroku's toothy grin, “Uhhh, okay... You alright, Inuyasha?”
Leveling a glare at Miroku, he glanced at Kagome, his eyes softening as he swept them over her figure and wet, wavy hair,
“Yup,” he stated gravelly, clearing his throat.
Looking at the two, she just shrugged, “Alrighty, well I'm gonna head back.”
“Alright.”
“See ya in a little bit!”
Both males watched the sway of her hips as she left and, realizing this, Inuyasha punched Miroku in the shoulder.
“Ow!”
“Knock it off!”
Miroku rubbed his shoulder as Inuyasha headed towards where he left the buckets, “Move it, monk.”

*~* End Flashback: Back to the Hilltop*~*

Inuyasha smirked, remembering the bruise he left on the monk's shoulder, “Hmmph.”
Today was no different either. In fact, it was a little worse. Still walking beside him up the hill side was the crazy, amazing-smelling woman herself. She had a happy bounce to her step and she always smelled great, but when she was happy, her scent was daze-inducing. The wind wasn't quite as blustery as they reached the hill top, but it still fluttered around them giving him nice little whiffs of her.
At the moment, he was pretending to listen to her, agreeing to whatever Kagome was currently yammering on about. Sometimes he’d even grunt in response, making sure she thought he was paying attention. In reality, was he? ‘Pffff.’ No, of course not. With eyes hooded under his white bangs, his gaze discretely drifted down to her sun-kissed thighs and calves, watching as they flexed and tightened as she walked next to him, ‘Damn, she’s got great legs’. She certainly had toned up with her travels with him and the team. His gaze moved to her curvy hips and ass, ‘Filled in too…’ Those damn skirts… He smirked, glancing skywards, they were always driving him crazy with the wind giving him those tiny glimpses of heaven.
Absorbed with his musings, he suddenly registered that she wasn’t by his side. He glanced back to give her a quick, tasty once over, only to notice she had stopped walking. He turned to face her, grumbling to himself. He looked at her, eyebrow cocked; she was staring at him like he had lost his mind. ‘Aww shit, what now… she couldn’t possibly know what I was thinking!’
‘What are the odds that he’d let me off that easy…’ thought Kagome suspiciously, looking at the hanyou who was looking back at her with a paranoid expression that said ‘…what!?...’
“Sooo you’re okay with me going home for a few days… Knowing full well that I have no objective in mind besides to be lazy and see my friends and family… no homework or tests…”
No wonder she was looking at him like he had a fish on top of his head! When did he ever just nonchalantly agree to let her go home? ‘Shit!’ That 'agree to whatever she says' crap, didn’t exactly go as planned. Trying to recover and cover his own ass he barked, “Feh, geez woman! You act like I don’t let you do anything at all, I’m not some slave driver, ya know!”
Kagome dramatically swung her head around to send him a dry, sarcastic look, letting him know that that was exactly what she thought.
“Feh!” Rolling his eyes and huffing, Inuyasha turned away from her looking at Kaede’s village from on top of the hill.
Remembering his last fight with Naraku, he smirked recalling the evil hanyou's words, “Inuyasha. You defy all my attempts to plan an amusing death for you.”*
'So sorry to disappoint you, asshole.'
Their group had just returned to the village early that afternoon, and all hoped to take it easy for a couple of days. With his back to the miko he said, “Naraku hasn’t been seen anywhere for weeks, Miroku is needed at the village south of here, and Sango wants to visit the slayer’s village for supplies. Shippo will stay with Kaede and drive her and all the young girls crazy. So, there’s no point in you staying here. You want to be a useless, lazy, lump, so here’s your chance.” Shooing her away with a hand as if she were some pesky fly, he smirked at the taunt. He mentally prepped himself for the impending eating-of-dirt, ‘Okay, in 5, 4, 3, 2…’ When nothing happened for those few moments he decided to chance a quick peek at her. He yelped in surprise when he was attacked from behind with a bear hug and a happy squeal before he had a chance to look. The frequency of the sound buzzed through his skull, making him grimace and pin his ears to his head. To say that he hadn’t expected her to do that was an understatement.
Bouncing up and down while hugging him, Kagome couldn’t believe her luck! ‘Sweet! I am SO going to take the longest bath in history! Oh, and eat my mom’s food and tomorrow I can go shopping with the girls and, since its summer, there’s no homework! Yes! I can’t believe he’s actually okay with this!’ All while still attached to her irritated friend, she paused in her girly, rapid fire, crazy thoughts and jarring bounces of joy, “How long can I stay?”
Once Inuyasha got over the shock of her squealing and squeezing the life out of him, he couldn’t help but notice how her breasts were firmly pressed against his back. As she bounced up and down, he could feel her nipples getting harder from the friction and his eyes began to dilate and his groin to tightened in response.
Images of her quivering breasts, naked and tight from the cool river water, flashed through his brain. Gasping lightly when she stopped jarring him, he glanced down at her arms around his middle. He liked the way they felt tightly wrapped around him. ‘I wonder what it would feel like to have her scratch her nails down—’
“How long can I stay home, Inuyasha?” she repeated, interrupting his thoughts.
“Feh, I don’t know,” he grumbled distractedly, blushing at the direction his thoughts had taken. Again.
Slightly turning his head towards her, “A couple of days, maybe a week, there’s no rush—”
Squealing louder and squeezing him tighter, she bounced up and kissed him on the cheek.
Both blushed at the brisk contact of her warm lips. Inuyasha couldn’t help but glance at her over his shoulder, his eyes a bit brighter as they connected with hers. With his heart slamming in his chest, his eyes moved on their own accord, taking a fleeting journey down to her glossy lips noticing the tiny droplets of sweat gathering above her upper lip. His own parted slightly as he took a deep breath and quickly looked back up to her expressive blue orbs.
Gasping, she let go of Inuyasha and turned away from him with butterflies in her stomach. For a moment there, it looked like he was going to kiss her. ‘But that doesn’t make sense. He doesn’t like me like that… Is it getting hotter out here? Or is that just me?’
She paused distractedly for a moment and remembered that he’d just agreed to let her go home and brightened, “Thanks, Inuyasha! If it’s alright with you, I’d really like to get going too”.
“Feh”, he responded blushing.
‘What the hell is wrong with me? It was just a peck on the cheek. No big deal. Why am I getting so worked up about it?’
His inner demon responded and purr-growled, ‘It’s cus' you know, and not even that deep down I might add, that she’s your bitch and you like it when she touches you; plain and simple, Dumbass.’
Growling at himself and shaking his head to clear his thoughts, he started walking towards Kaede’s hut so Kagome could gather all of her things.
Watching dryly as he walked off grumbling to himself, ‘I guess that’s a yes… I wonder why he didn’t throw a tantrum about me going…’ Sighing, Kagome hurried happily after Inuyasha, choosing not to ponder at her good fortune.
Once she got all of her stuff, Inuyasha escorted her silently to the well. When they got there, he watched her throw her long, tanned, muscular legs over the sides of the well. His inner demon smirked, ‘Just think what it would be like to have those wrapped around you—’
“I’ll come and get you when everyone’s ready to get going”, he said interrupting his gutter-minded inner-self, blushing again.
“Okay! Thanks again, Inuyasha!”
With a hop off the side of the well her skirt lifted enough to reveal a great panty-clad ass, making him mentally stutter, ‘She’s wearing pink today’. She disappeared, leaving him staring down the well with images of creamy flesh and soft pink fabric swirling around in his head. The usual cerulean glow shined out of the wooden well and the loss of her pure aura confirmed that she was indeed gone.

*~*~*~*On the other side of the well*~*~*~*
Kagome energetically climbed out of the well and practically skipped her way to the house. It was later in the afternoon, yet she could tell that no one was home.
‘That’s odd. I don’t hear anyone… The lights are off too...’ Walking up she muttered, “I bet it’s locked…” Squatting down, she felt around and under the laughing Buddha statue, “Ah-ha!”, and extracted the spare key to her home. Unlocking the back door, she opened it and squealed in delight as a rush of cold air hit her sweaty skin, 'Sweet glory!' Smiling she peered in to the dark house, calling out “Mom? Souta? Anyone here? Grandpa?” But Buyo was the only thing that made a noise, sauntering into the room with his weird “Mrreeeow.”
Bending over to pick up the fat cat, she ruffled up his fur and scratched behind his ears. “Well, Buyo, do you know where everyone’s at?” His blank, comical stare indicated either “no” or “don’t care”, making her chuckle. As if sensing her mirth, he blinked and squirmed in her arms to be put down. She grinned and shut the door behind her, following him toward the kitchen. Turning on the light, she saw a colorful note on the counter. Walking over, she picked up the slip of paper and read:
Hi Sweetie!

Souta had a field trip that was out of town, the one he’s

been so excited about all year long, and your Grandpa

and I agreed to be chaperones. We left Monday,

   –She glanced at the calendar on the wall and noticed that that was yesterday–

and we’re supposed to be back on Thursday. I wasn’t

sure if you would be dropping by while we were gone,

so I made some of your favorites and have them in the

refrigerator. There is also some spending money in

the cabinet for you in case you need anything.

Kagome smiled, “Love you too mom,” and softly chuckled at the little smiley faces and hearts drawn all over the note.
As she set the note down on the counter, her stomach gurgled and growled to life. Groaning as if hunger was a hand that had just whacked her upside the head, Kagome proceeded to rummage through the food containers to discover her mom had made a large container of pork pot stickers, a pot of oden, and some leftover grilled yakitori. Deciding a buffet was in order, she heated up a little bit of everything and completely enjoyed herself. Once she was done, she put her dishes in the sink, “I’ll wash those later,” and glanced at her backpack. Walking over to it, she noticed how obscenely dirty it was, “Wow...that's bad,” she chuckled.

*~*Flashback: Earlier That Day*~*
Miroku was grinning when he blurted, “Oh, Inuyasha, I was going to get you a gift for helping with the water the other day, but I figured... Nahhh. Sooo, thanks!”
Inuyasha rolled his eyes, "Feh, don't mention it, Miroku." He leveled a meaningful stare at the monk, "Don't mention anything about that day ever again."
However, for reasons that would flabbergast and blow the circuits in the hanyou's mind, Miroku continued, “Why? That was a pretty good day! We didn't get kicked out of the inn, nobody got hurt...” He grinned lecherously, “and we even got to see Kagome topless!”
Inuyasha's eyes bugged out and his mouth hung open in stunned horror, 'I can't believe he...!'
Both of the women jerked to an abrupt stop and slowly turned around, twitching.
“Yeah... first time I saw 'em I was speechless too,” crooned Miroku.
Kagome gasped in indignation and Inuyasha smacked him upside the head, grabbed his collar and hissed, “Dumbass!”
“SIT!”
As he felt the necklace yank him to the ground, he held tight to Miroku's collar. When he hit the ground he saw Miroku slam down hard next to him, his forearm behind his neck squishing his face into the hot dirt. He growled in satisfaction and groaned “Told you, you'd go down with me, Stupid!” As the spell eased off, he kept the monk down next to him, extremely gratified that someone could experience the “sit” with him.
Once the enchantment released him, he bounced up and gulped at the scary women.  “Alright. I admit that we saw Kagome's.... them... but it's not like we planned it!”
“– Although our timing couldn't have been better,” spoke the monk as he dusted off his robes.
Sango growled, “Oh I think you mean worse, Miroku.”
He paused and thought about it for a second, “No I'm pretty sure I meant better.”
Inuyasha gaped at the monk. What the hell was wrong with him!? Was he trying to get them killed!? Snapping his teeth together in frustration, Inuyasha forced his gaze away from the suicidal hentai and towards the miko. Her look of angry mortification made him panic and he blurted, “Kagome! We just walked through an opening in the trees, and there you were! What was I supposed to do, rip the eyes out of my head!?”
Reeling from embarrassment, Kagome looked skyward and blinked slowly, “I am so mad; I can't even stand to look at you!”
“And yet you do! Because your eyes work! Ya see my problem!?”
“SIT!” Gasping, she yelled “I can't believe this! No wonder you two were acting so weird the other day! SIT, SIT, SIT, SIT, SIT, SIT, SIT, SIT, SIT, SIT!–– ”
As she screeched out the commands and the enchantments dug the screaming hanyou further into the earth, a great rumble was felt right before a giant red, fleshy worm demon crashed through the soil from underneath and attacked while Inuyasha was pinned to the ground. Instantly dozens of slimy, popping tentacles emerged from it's flesh randomly, attacking the prone group. A large one managed to side-swipe the monk before he could unwrap his cursed hand, throwing him through some trees.
This caused Inuyasha to roar, “Damn it!” The demon chuckled nastily, knowing it had attacked at the right moment, leaving the ladies for last. Inuyasha watched helplessly on the ground as Kagome was grabbed around the waist by several of its tentacles and pulled into the air, effectively knocking her bow out of her hands.
“HIRAIKOTSU!” Sango's weapon sang through the air, cutting through the flesh that held Kagome, and hissed back towards her strong hands. Inuyasha bellowed, “Watch out!” but as she was about to catch her weapon, another tentacle swooped in and wrapped around her, pinning her arms to her sides. Miroku ran through the trees into which he had been thrown, coming back scratched up and bleeding.
“Sango!” he screamed right before the un-caught Hiraikotsu smashed into the unlucky lecher, sending him wailing back into the forest. 'If we weren't being attacked right now, that woulda been fucking hilarious,' thought the hanyou as he watched Shippo throw his spinning top attack at the giant worm.
Inuyasha savagely ripped up the dirt around him with his wicked claws, trying anything to move and help, 'Fuck! When's this thing going to let me go!?' Suddenly he heard his beautiful miko wail in alarm and frustration, and he roared, “Kagome!” She had been racing to her bow when another slimy tentacle wrapped around an ankle, causing her to jerk quickly towards the ground. The new appendage wrapped around her waist once more, lifting her into the air and she screamed angrily, “Let me go you big, fat grub!”
She watched as the saber-toothed Kirara attacked and tore the flesh that held her friend. For a lack of anything better to do, she began beating and kicking at the tentacles when she heard her quiver rattle behind her. 'Oh yeah, my arrows!' Quickly she reached around and grabbed an arrow from behind her. As she gripped it and brought it down to stab, Inuyasha roared and finally pushed off the ground, sending a small tornado of hot dust spiraling around him. Not hearing him yell at the others to move, Kagome smiled as she pierced the flesh, watching as her sacred arrow purified the disgusting tentacle holding her and yelled triumphantly. However, her success was short lived when she heard the furious “WIND SCAR!” She landed and saw Inuyasha swing his sword. It was in that instant that she realized the angle in which he swung to avoid hitting her would cause the disintegrating demon remains to land right...
Her face fell, “Aww, SHIT!”
SPLAT!
‘Ugh! That stupid thing exploded everywhere! God, he could have at least warned me or something! ‘Hey, Kagome, duck!’ or even a 'Get the hell outta the way!' would have sufficed, but nooo, that would have required effort! That hit me like a ton of bricks!' On her hands and knees, she gasped for air when she finally crawled out of the heterogeneous car-sized pile of wriggling demon parts and goo. Rushing to get up and out of the remains, she slipped and squealed like a girl and fell face first into the runny, yet somehow strangely jello-like, purée of squirming crap and to her utter dismay, he was laughing his ass off. 'At me! Laughing!'
Seeing her struggling to get up, he decided to be useful and help her out, but he couldn’t stop laughing! Standing on her own two feet, she glanced down and screeched when she got a good look at herself. She was covered head to toe. And she didn't know how, but she could even feel it between her toes. In her socks! Socks that were filled and bulging and sagging around her ankles, the twitching contents leaking into and around her shoes. 'So much for this outfit,' she thought glaring at her feet.
“Kagome, you shoulda seen your face!” he guffawed as he pulled the small, sputtering, slime-covered Shippo out of a nearby pile by his tail.
She deadpanned, 'Normally, wouldn’t you think that at least he would be concerned for my welfare? Oh no, not him! Stupid jerk.'
Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a battered and bruised Miroku walking like Igor from the movie Frankenstein and quickly dragging Sango's heavy boomerang behind him. The miko was wiping herself off and trying to empty her socks when, after a few moments of listening to the monk fuss over the slayer's caked-on attire, a sharp slap rang through the air, “Pervert!” Turning towards the slayer, Kagome choked out a laugh at seeing Miroku out cold, the dust still swirling around his scratched up body on the dirt road. 'I almost feel bad for him. Almost.' Sango, beet red and glaring, turned in her direction, Hiraikotsu hefted behind her back.
Hearing Shippo griping about his goo-matted hair, Kagome turned back to glare at Inuyasha, his body still shaking with laughter. He glanced back at her smirking and froze in trepidation at the look of her evil, twitching glare.
He held his hands up in front of him in desperation, “Kagome! I'm just glad you're o––!”and the earth shook as she promptly sat the inconsiderate cad into a twenty foot crater of pain.
“Come on Kagome, we don’t need them,” Sango growled, storming away in the direction towards Kaede’s village. Kagome picked up her bow and primly flicked it to sling all the demon nastiness off and jogged to catch up to Sango, Kirara and Shippo loping beside her, leaving the guys, still groaning and cursing, in their wake.
It took them about half an hour to wearily catch up to the ladies. “They probably took their time since they knew we were pissed,” she snorted softly, glancing at the smirking Sango. She apparently was thinking the same thing. But, as it so pleasantly turned out, Inuyasha had found a bargaining tool to bring them back into the good graces of the angry women: a bath. Taking a shortcut through the forest to catch up to them, he had managed to find a spring that had apparently branched off of the area's primary river.
‘Ah, what clean water and a cool swim will do on a hot day to change a girl's mind!’ Glancing over at Shippo, she giggled as he happily shook off the water from his bath, imitating a certain dog demon, and chuckled when all of his hair poofed out in every direction. Smiling, she dunked under the cool water. Of course, she had acted like she was still mad at him when he quietly offered to take her. She knew he was trying to make it up to her and she was secretly jumping for joy that he’d found it for them, but she didn’t let him know that. 'He needs to suffer a little bit.'
Sango expelled a refreshed, good natured sigh, “Well, I guess I better get out of here before my skin gets all shriveled. You going to be much longer, Kagome?”
Swirling to a stop in the middle of the stream, Kagome tucked a damp tendril behind her ear, “Nah, I’ll be out in a few minutes.”
Sango nodded and left the stream, quickly getting dressed in her kimono, and started to leave with Shippo in tow. Little Kirara swished her twin tails as if waving, causing Kagome to wave back and giggle, and watched as the cute neko 'mewed' at her before making a running leap up onto Sango's retreating shoulders. Sighing, Kagome ran her hands over her hair and squealed when something slithered down her back. ‘Gross! Whatever you do, don’t look at it Kagome… just don’t look at it!…’ Vigorously scrubbing her scalp, she violently shivered, “Euuuw!” 'It’s probably some nasty chunk of that demon!' Combing her fingers through her hair again, she couldn't really feel anything else, 'God, what I'd give for a real bath! Then I could actually get clean and soak in all that oily, hot water of amazingness!'
“Well, we'll arrive in Kaede's village in a few more hours. So, hopefully I can sneak past Inuyasha and go home.” With that in mind she snickered and walked towards the river bank. Carefully leaving the water, she headed toward her backpack and began drying off with her travel towel. She had one last clean pair of clothes already stacked on top for her to change in to. She chuckled, 'Another sign that I need to go home. No more clean clothes.' Slipping on a pair of light pink hipster panties and then her skirt, she heard a soft thud and rustling and paused as she reached for her bra, ‘What on earth was that?’
Sango had told him she’d be back soon, but he couldn’t wait. No matter how hard it was or how much he screwed it up, he needed to say he was sorry and get it over with. Even if that meant apologizing for something he still thought was hilarious. Inuyasha, though he’d probably never admit it out loud, liked it when she was happy, loved her happy smell, and definitely enjoyed her happy walk. Yeah sure, he liked her fiery, saucy side, but a happy Kagome was a great thing and, according to Miroku, he had the perfect make up gift for his earlier lapse, 'Okay, multiple lapses,' in judgment. And if he hurried, a major bonus to this bit of privacy would be to catch a glimpse or just flat out see her naked. Flying through the branches, he saw her in a small clearing and landed with a soft thud. Taking a few steps in her direction, he sneakily peaked around a large tree and saw her back facing him. Taking a moment to admire her delightful, curvy body clad in her skirt, he raked his eyes upward. At his location, he could only see the side of one of her breasts as it gently bounced as she looked around. The wind had somewhat stalled in the forest and the hot humid weather kept her from getting completely dry. Inuyasha smirked as she paused and listened to her surroundings with that weird bra-zeer thing in her grasp delicately fluttering in the breeze that slipped through the trees. His inner demon started purring, enjoying the view, and he had to force his throat not to follow suit.
Shaking his head, he turned around and leaned against the tree and smirked, “I swear I’m not looking!”
Startled, her body jumped hearing that particular masculine voice, “What!? Where are you?—” She whirled around and saw Inuyasha’s broad back facing her as he leaned against a big tree and she quickly hooked her bra into place.
Gasping at how close he was, “Jeez, Inuyasha! You couldn’t give me a minute to get dressed?”
“Just tell me when you’re done, Wench.”
Rolling her eyes, she sighed dramatically and pulled her shirt on. Suspiciously, she turned around, ‘Okay… there’s no way he could have spotted me, gotten this close, and turned around without seeing me at least partially naked! Not looking, my ass!’
She sat down blushing to pull on her socks, “Okay.”
He turned around as she slipped on her shoes. “I... I’m sorry.”
She looked up, astonished, “Huh?”
“I’m sorry about the other day, the thing with Miroku, and how I laughed at you earlier… I shouldn’t have had you close enough to even be hit by that crap to begin with… I shoulda moved you before I –I was so frustrated from being pinned– you... I... I'm sorry.” Ears drooping, he looked down at his feet with his arms behind his back and his fingers tightened around the flowers, “Please don’t be mad at me, Kagome.”
A pretty pink blush crossed her cheeks and she saw him look away, his own heated cheeks getting redder. How could she not accept, especially when he was being sweet for a change? She never expected to hear an apology in the first place! Ears twitching, he glanced back at her when she was still quiet and immediately turned a shade darker at the look of her softening eyes and smile. She stood up and walked towards him, “Oh Inuyasha… I could never stay mad at you for very long anyhow.” She looked away for a moment and thought about how she'd sat him, 'Like, a million times.' Sighing she admitted, “If I didn't sit–,” she stopped abruptly when Inuyasha slammed head first into the ground, “Oh my god, Inuyasha! I'm so sorry!” As he hit the ground, she heard something softly land behind him. Ignoring it, she landed on her knees next to him and touched the necklace, lifting the subjugation spell, “I'm so sorry!”
Growling, he hopped up into a squatting position and grumbled, “Don't worry about it.”
Seeing something colorful laying behind him, much like a curious bird who saw something shiny, she tried to glance around his wide chest,“If I hadn't, umm you know, so many times I–” Noticing what she was looking at, he blushed and blocked her view by leaning more in the way, again blocking her from his gift, and she continued distractedly “–well we all, wouldn't have been in that situation to begin with.”
She rolled her eyes at herself and sat down on her feet and smiled warmly at her handsome friend, “If I hadn't lost my temper, you probably would have taken that worm out in three seconds flat.”
With a soft “Feh,” his eyes warmed at the compliment.
'She knows you'll protect her no matter what. Ya see? This is just another reason for us to claim her!' chirped his demon. When she tried peaking around his other side, 'Just give 'em to her, idiot!' he twisted around to reach behind him, blocking her again and stood up with a hand behind his back. She started to get up, too, and he reached a hand down to help her. Kagome smiled and accepted his warm hand, sending shivers down both of their spines. Softly shaking his head to clear his thoughts, he blushed when she gave him a curious look that said 'I know you have something back there.'
Taking a quick, deep breath, he shoved the small collection of wildflowers into her hands and blurted “Igottheseforyou!” and in a blur he was gone, high-tailing it in the direction of the others. She blinked and looked down at the pretty wildflowers and blushed from head to toe in pleasure.
Unbeknownst to her though, Inuyasha had leaped up to a high branch to watch her reaction.
'Yeah, that was real smooth.'
'Piss off!'

*~*End Flashback: Back in Kagome's House*~*

Smiling, she picked up her pack and grabbed the towel within it, gingerly opening it to reveal her small bouquet of pretty flowers. Setting her backpack on the washing machine, she went to a cabinet and took a glass and filled it with water. Putting the stems in the glass, she took the wildflowers with her and ran up the stairs to her room. Placing the glass on her bedside table, she glanced yearningly at her bathroom door, gave the flowers a little sniff, and headed straight for the shower.
“First things first!” Kagome was going to die unless she could wash her hair and get all the dirt, and lord knows whatever else, off of her body. She didn't know how much had accumulated since her swim from earlier, but she was totally looking forward to moisturizing body wash and oil, instead of the feudal soap she had to borrow from Kaede, and washing with hot, continuous, steamy water. Hopping in to take a quick shower, Kagome washed her hair and scrubbed her skin until she was rosy all over.
Cleaned to her satisfaction, she stepped out of the bathtub and let it completely drain. Making sure nothing creepy-crawly was left in the tub, she started filling it up with water hot enough to cook lesser beings. Watching the water for a few moments, Kagome reached down into the near-scalding water to check the temperature and moaned eagerly, “Perfect.” Glancing at the cabinet under the sink, 'I bet I still have some of that jasmine scented bath set that mom gave me for Christmas.’ Watching the hot water slosh in the filling tub, she found her treasure and tossed in a large handful of the scented bath salts and some oil beads. The hot water was quickly steaming up the bathroom, causing the salt crystals to disappear and the jasmine scented oil beads to melt and ooze, thinning out over the surface of the hot water, emitting her favorite scent. Kagome shivered in anticipation. “This is going to be great!”

*~*~*~*Meanwhile, back in the feudal era*~*~*~*
A dramatic and bored sigh filled the air. Inuyasha sat high up in the Sacred Tree with his eyes partially closed, watching his surroundings and the sun approaching the horizon.
“Well, this is entertaining,” he muttered out loud to no one in particular. Nothing was happening. There were no evil creatures lurking anywhere for him to kill. There were no huts in Kaede’s village to repair. No one even needed him to fetch water from the river or village well. He was going to go crazy! He had already patrolled his forest three times. What else was there to do!?
He sniffed the air and caught Kagome’s scent on his shoulder, ‘She sure does smell good…’
‘Well of course she does, she’s your bitch, that’s what bitches do!’ piped in his demon.
‘No she’s not; she’d bury my ass so deep in the ground if I ever called her—’
‘—Feh, whatever, she smells great for a reason: to lure you in to claim her.’
‘I can’t have her, and you know it.’
‘I have never admitted that! That’s your human side giving up before you even take a chance, wimp!’
Inuyasha growled menacingly, sending the birds flying from the trees, ‘I’m a damn half-breed! There’s no way she’d have me! Kikyo never let me touch her, so why should Kagome!?’
‘Who the hell cares about that dead, clay pot!? Yeah, you told her you'd go to hell and kill Naraku for her –I didn't, and don't, agree to the going to hell part, by the way– but the fact is that she's already dead. There's no changing that. Kagome is alive. Her awesome scent is all over you because she lets you touch her. It's obvious that she trusts and cares for you. Oh, and hey! She's not trying to kill you!'
Agitated, he looked up at the sky and ran his fingers roughly through his bangs.
'Ya know...' his demon paused, 'She'd give you pups... a family, Inuyasha. What more could you ask for?'
He sighed, 'Nothing.'
'So fucking claim her!’
Before he could comment on that particularly arousing thought, a growling stomach ripped Inuyasha from his inner battle. The strength of the hunger pain momentarily caused him to forget what he’d been fighting with himself about, and his brain exploded with flashes of all of his favorite meals. He scanned through them as they sped by like a lightening-fast assembly line, and suddenly it jerked to a stop with a “Ding!” on a steaming bowl of noodles. He automatically registered ‘Ramen’ and moaned, nearly falling out of the tree with the visual stimulus in his head. Seeing that big bowl of tasty, steaming noodles in what he knew to be an amazing broth, sent him flying into the well at full speed.

*~*~*~*On the other side*~*~*~*
Inuyasha felt his feet touchdown and sprung to the top of the well, hearing his demon cackling.
“Oh shut up! I’m hungry, damn it,” he grumbled to himself. It was sweltering inside the well house and Inuyasha jumped to the large sliding door. Opening it up, he breathed in deeply, 'Damn, it's even hotter over here.'
He looked towards the house, ‘Huh, the house is dark. Kagome’s light is on though…’ Doing a quick check around the house to verify that everything was safe and normal, he glanced back up to her window and didn’t see her. Leaping up he peeked in, mildly disappointed in not seeing a certain naked woman, and slid open the window, gasping when the cold air hit his face.
'I'll never get used to that.' How buildings remained that cold inside while it was so hot outside was just crazy. Kagome had tried showing him how it was possible with the loud vibrating box outside the house, but, as was usually the case, he'd eventually tuned her out when his stomach interrupted. On blistering days like today, though, he couldn't blame her for wanting to go home to her cool house.
Hopping in and hearing water running, he glanced at her closed bathroom door and paused. He could see her shadow as she rummaged around doing something and the sauna-like steam as it pushed out from under it like a foggy ghost.
The breeze swirled by lazily outside and reminded him about the open window. Turning, he shut it quietly and proceeded in the direction of her open bedroom door. Almost there, Inuyasha nearly tripped on his own feet when he heard her drawn out hiss as she eased into the tub. Staggering to a stop, his hand gripped the door frame to keep him balanced. Blinking dazedly as images of her naked and moaning came to mind, Inuyasha felt his groin tighten upon hearing her groan,
“Ahhh, perfect!”
‘That woman is going to be the death of me,’ he thought as he exited, pausing when he realized he'd dug his claws into the defenseless wall. Muttering to himself, he carefully extracted his nails from the wood and prayed Kagome didn't see it.
Practically running away from her room, his demon decided to make things worse. 'Just think! She could be making those noises underneath you!'

Kagome was in heaven! She loved how the thin layer of jasmine scented oil clung to her skin as she got in and soaked. With her hair up and out of the way, she lay down in the water and sank in as far up as her chin. Leaning her head back, she sighed and watched the hot steam coming off of the water, entranced by its misty movement. After a while, she gingerly sat up and cupped the oil-infused water and began to pour it over her skin, massaging it in. “Mmmm, I wish I could do this more often. I’ve really needed a break…”
Gazing off into space, she whispered “I wonder what Inuyasha is doing…” Thinking of his gruffness on the blustery hill top, 'It was really nice not having to argue with him… Well, except for before when that worm attacked, but he was so cute earlier…' She took her time in sliding her hands over and around her breasts, down her stomach, and back up to cup the flushed globes while lightly pinching and rolling her nipples between her fingers. A pleasant heat began to gather in her center and she slid a hand down to rub her clit slowly, undulating into it, imagining that it was his clawed hands.

I have to be imagining things... Kami, I hate this! Why does he make me feel this way?’ she sighed to herself, 'Who am I kidding? I know exactly why. Damn. What the sun did to his hair and eyes earlier...' She shivered in the hot bath, 'What did I do to deserve such a hott, stupid, adorable, jerk of a best friend? The gods hate me. That's it! It's either that or they think I'm entertaining and enjoy poking me with their Fate Stick. It's not fair.'
Grumbling she cupped another handful of water and continued to slide her hands over her arms and legs. Reaching around to rub the oil into her back, she reveled in how it made her skin glow and leaned back to stretch in the warm water, intent on staying in there until the water cooled.

‘It doesn’t have to be this way; you could just ravage that hott little body of hers,’ his demon said in a matter-of-fact tone.
Ignoring this, Inuyasha was almost down the stairs when he smelled the remnants of food in the kitchen. He quietly stalked in there, inhaling the different aromas from the dishes in the sink. Since he’d dined here a lot over the years, he knew where Kagome’s mom kept the ramen for him, and started pulling out a couple packages. A while back, Kagome had gotten him a giant red bowl for him to eat his noodles in, so he grabbed that and started to heat up some water on the stove top, just like Kagome’s mom had taught him. Soon he was sitting at the table with a amusingly large bowl of steaming ramen and chopsticks, sighing to himself.
“Now this is more like it,” he mumbled as he began shoveling the hot, tasty noodles into his mouth and slurping them up. He got about half way through the soup, when he paused and smelled what Kagome had been eating,
‘What is that….’ He got up and sniffed her plate, smelling the pot stickers and yakitori, and opened up that cold-box-thing and saw what he was smelling for. He dropped some of the dumplings into his ramen and grabbed a few of the yakitori. He happily munched on the impaled meat and watched his pot stickers heat and plump up in the hot broth.

Kagome looked at her hands; she was starting to get pruny from being in the water for so long.
‘I SO needed this!’ she sighed. She carefully stood up and wrapped a towel around herself and stepped out of the bathtub. Not really caring if she got all the water off her body, she hung the towel up and quietly opened the bathroom door into her room and searched for something clean to sleep in. While she pulled on some cute panties, she came across some candles, ‘Alright!’ She always did enjoy watching their hypnotic flames dance around and indirectly light up her room. The swaying light would cast off onto the walls, making them glow, and would set her furniture in dark contrast. Plus, she loved how it made her skin look! Feeling inspired, in nothing but her panties, she went about lighting all of her candles, placing them symmetrically around her room, and flicked the light switch off.
‘Ahhh, that’s it…’ After doing that, she donned a little stringy night shirt that clung to her like a second skin. ‘Hmmm, it’s really quiet in here…’ she grinned, glancing around her room.

As Inuyasha devoured all of the foodly-goodness, he noticed that besides the noises coming from the bathroom upstairs, everything else was quiet…well, he did hear that damn cat snoring somewhere. He didn’t hear or smell any of Kagome’s family in the house, though. Their smell was kind of stale, like they hadn’t been here in a couple days. His ears perked towards the stairs when he heard Kagome’s light footsteps upstairs. Glancing out of a window next to where he was sitting, he listened to the breeze blowing gently and the crickets singing outside. The soft sounds made him smile and close his eyes.
‘So you have her all to yourself… Oh damn, what a shame,’ his demon smirked.
Rolling his eyes, ‘What is your problem? Why this sudden urge to jump her?’ he internally growled.

Seeing what looked like little fireworks near her ear, his eyes widened when he glanced back at the bite mark on her neck. The wounds were swiftly closing, and suddenly there was a white flash and a pulse echoed throughout the room, surprising them both.
“What was that???” she squeaked.
Focusing again on her neck, he smirked happily ‘Well, this should piss her off!'
His demon chuckled happily at his handiwork. In place of the two puncture wounds from his fangs, was a kanji, tattooed in a jagged lavender colored script, reading ‘Mine.’
“Oh, you’ll find out soon enough, mate” he chuckled mischievously.
