Kagome and Kouga sat at the bottom of the hill laughing and talking as they shared a bag of chips.

Kagome blushed when he reached out gently sweeping a stray lock of hair from her face and tucking it behind her ear. Her blush deepened as his finger gently traced the curve of her cheek. "Um, you're welcome."

He smirked as he noticed the blush spreading from her face to her neck. ‘I knew she wasn't immune to me.'

Ayame felt a sharp pain in her chest as she watched from the top of a nearby hill. Her hand pressed against her chest over her heart as she tried to will the pain away. Tears stung her eyes. ‘How dare he? Kouga promised to marry me and now he pretends to have forgotten so he can flirt with a human priestess?'

He claws bit into her palm and she slammed it against her chest trying to stop the pain. ‘Damn him and damn her! Who does that pathetic bitch think she is stealing Kouga from me?'

Her body tensed and her nostrils flared.A low growl rumbled up from her chest. Her green eyes narrowed and slowly phased to red. Her hands flexed and her claws lengthened.

A Strong breeze started swirling around her feet and inched its way up her body till her long red hair broke free of its ties and blew around her. The strength of the swirling wind rose to match her anger.

Her head titled back and she opened her mouth as her fangs elongated and a menacing snarl escaped from her.

Inuyasha jumped landing in front of Kagome and used one hand to yank her to her feet. "What the hell are you doing getting all cozy with this flea bag?"

Kagome's eyes widened and her heart slammed against her chest. "Inuyasha, when did you get back?"

Kouga punched Inuyasha in the jaw and pushed Kagome behind him. "Oi mutt face, keep your hands off her!"

Kagome stepped back a few paces. "Don't fight guys. We're supposed to be on the same side, remember?"

Both males snorted and started circling each other.

"For the last time wolf shit, Kagome is not yours to claim so leave her alone!"

Kouga smirked. "Maybe you should try asking Kagome what she wants and actually listen for a change." He flexed his claws.

Kagome stomped her foot. "Enough!" She turned on her heel intending to get her arrows and bow, but was tackled from the side by an enraged female demon.

Ayame rolled the weak human over and raised her claws preparing to rip open her chest, but felt a strong arm catch her hand mid swing.

Blue eyes narrowed and he tossed the female wolf across the field. A low growl ripped from firm lips. "Back off Ayame!"

Red eyes clashed with turbulent blue ones.

Kouga placed his body between the enraged female and his chosen mate. "Don't make me have to kill you Ayame."

The female wolf snorted. "Is that supposed to be a threat?"

Kouga's jaw clenched and his fangs showed as he snarled.

Inuyasha moved over to Kagome, but Kouga swung around and kicked Inuyasha. "Hands off mutt."

Kagome tried to scramble back as the angry female wolf charged her. "Stay... stay away." She pleaded staring at the female wolf.

Inuyasha flexed his claws and jumped over Kouga's head landing between Ayame and Kagome. He used his arms to toss the female wolf away and growled. "No you don't!"

Kouga scooped Kagome into his arms. "I'll leave this to you dog shit." He whirled away before Inuyasha could even respond.

Ayame growled and lunged forward slicing her claws across his chest.

Inuyasha grunted and his eyes phased red. A dark stripe appeared on each of his cheeks. His claws lengthened and he snarled. "Impudent bitch! You dare strike me?" He back handed her. "Learn your place."

Ayame snarled with saliva dripping from her fangs and launched towards him again.

They collided in the air both sinking their claws into each others' shoulder and tumbled across the ground snarling and trying to rip each other apart.

Inuyasha's inner beast growled. "Bitch you will submit! We are the alpha."

Ayame's inner beast snarled. "Prove it, only then will we submit."

Pheromones leaked into the air as their bodies covered in sweat while they continued trying to make the other submit. Claws raked flesh wherever they could, her fist connected with his jaw.
