Chapter One: The Beginning

People were laughing, bringing in the crops from the fields, tending the animals, and children playing near the shoreline. It was warm that day with a light breeze coming from the sea, the season was mid summer and everyone loved it. An old woman who wore a brown kimono came out of a building and watched the children. "Come inside young ones! Play time is over now."
The old woman smiled as she heard them whine and watched as they all walked in and sat on the dirty mats in the floor. Pulling the door back with her, the woman sat on a mat that was infront of the other mats and winced when her back popped. Rubbing her knuckles she looked around the room and her eyes landed on a young girl in a light blue kimono. "Kagome, what shall I teach you youngins now, hmm?" She loved Kagome ever since she first meet her as a baby. She saw Kagome as a daughter, and took care of her when her mother was off with some of the men in their village.
Kagome smiled at the woman and rubbed her hair out of her face with her hand. " Can we fix the flowers for tonight, Lady Keade?" Kagome asked her. Keade nodded and waved her right hand out to the children and then to her right at where the flowers sat. All the kids got up and ran for the flowers, fighting and pushing to get the prettiest out of them all. Keade shook her head and watched them until she heard the front door of the building open up.
A man stood there in the door way. He looked to be around his forties, he was very tan from working in the sun all the time, sweaty, he was missing some of his teeth and was usually seen with a sake bottle in one hand and a whip in the other. Keade stood up and got close to the children as he walked in and looked around. "Where's that son of mine, woman." He demanded as he took a drink from his bottle. Keade knew who he was talking about, Jin. Jin was roughly ten years old and was mean to some of the other kids. He mostly was mean to the girls, 'like father like son.' Keade thought to herself as the man infront of her now burped.
Keade breathed in and slowly replied to him, "Jin is right here learning about different types of flowers in the area." The man looked at Keade with a nasty look and spat on the floor. "Flowers! No goddamn boy of mine is going to learn girly shit. He shouldn't even be in this building, he doesn't have a cunt between his legs like his momma. He should be working with the men out in the field." Jin's father yelled out. Keade was angry but she knew if she spoke out to the man she was going to get struck with either his hand of his bottle in his hand.
Bowing her head a little, Keade gently pulled Jin out of the group and lead him in front of herself. "Jin, your father is demanding you go with him now. He doesn't want you to learn, he wants you to work in the fields like him." Keade muttered out as Jin walked to his father's side and stood there with him. Jin father spat on the floor one more time before walking out. He pushed Jin out the door and took a drink before closing the door back. Keade sighed and looked back at the rest of the children, "go on home young ones. Class is dismissed." Keade said as she waved them off.
All the kids looked at each other before running out of the room and outside. Kagome looked at Keade and decided to hug her. Kagome squeezed her waist and smiled, "it's okay Lady Keade. He is just bad man." Kagome said to her. Keade smiled and nodded her head as she patted the top of Kagomes hair. " Of course, dear. Of course. Now run on home to your mother, Kagome. I'm sure she has dinner ready." Keade said as she sat down on the mat. Kagome gave her a smile and ran out of the building, not knowing that was the last time she would see Keade.
Kagome ran onto her porch and opened the door to the inside of her and her momma's house. It had only one room in it, the kitchen and the sleeping quarters were in one place. Looking around the room Kagome noticed her mother wasn't even there and so, she decided to roast the lizard she found under the rock that morning. Going to the tiny tan color sack that she near her mat. she pulled out the lizard and grabbed a stick, the lizard wiggled and wiggled until Kagome stuck the stick through it's rectum and out of its mouth.
Sitting near the fire, Kagome cooked the lizard and watched as it turned from green to a black color, it's eyes began to sink in and turned black as well. She pulled it out of the fire and poked its eye and noticed it was still squishy. Sighing, Kagome placed the little lizard back into the fire and waited for it to cook. As she did she sat there and began bitting her nails, as she bit her nails she began thinking and then stopped. "Tomorrows my birthday! I'll be fourteen summers and almost a woman!" She squealed out. Remembering her lizard, Kagome took it out of the fire and let it cool down before eating it...

That night, Kagome ran her fingers through her hair as she sat on her mat, trying to get the tangles out. As she sat there she looked up as the door opened up to reveal her mother. Kagome loved her mother she really did but she didn't like the fact that her mother slept with men to have money to buy food and sake. Rubbing her neck, her mother looked at Kagome and smiled. "You're so beautiful Kagome. The young men will be all over you." Her mother said as she walked past Kagome and sat behind her. Kagome felt something go through her hair and turned around to see what is was. "It's a comb I bought for you today. It's a early birthday gift. You can wear it was a hair decoration too if you liked." Her mother said as she fingered the comb in her hands.
Kagome gave her mother a smile and told her thankyou and took the comb from her hands. Her mother smiled and rubbed the side of Kagome's cheek. "Make sure you never let a samurai into your heart, baby. You'll end up like me with a child that no one wants." Kagome bit her bottom lip and nodded. Her mother patted her shoulder and laid down beside Kagome, she tugged her to lay down as well. Kagome did and watched the fire dance as her mother played with her hair. She felt her eyelids go heavy and tried to fight to keep awake but failed and drifted to slumberland.

Kagome woke up to the sounds of people screaming and horses. Sitting up she saw her mother wasn't in the house anymore and noticed the door was open. Still waking up from her sleepiness, she didn't notice the man that came in and grabbed her roughly by the shoulders. "Well well well. What's a pretty thing like you doing in here by yourself with out a man to protect you?" The man had light skin and his eyes were yellow. Looking at his teeth, he had fangs that wasn't stained with blood. 'Demon!' Kagome's mind screamed at her.
She decided that instead of dying, she kicked the demon in his groin and dashed for the door where she ran out and saw her village in a ocean of fire. Covering her mouth, Kagome looked around for her mother. running off the porch, she looked at both her sides before running the to entrance of the village. She didn't notice a demon on a horse was running behind her, she screamed as he scooped her up and held her in front of him as he ran out of the burning village to their camp ground.
Kagome tried to struggle with the demon holding her captive but stopped when he stopped the horse and moved her closer to him so he could wrap his arm around her better. Kagome whimpered as the demon moved her hair to the side and turned her head to look at him. He was tall, ivory skin, purplish red color stripes on his face. His eyes were a honey color and his hair was sliver and long. Kagome began struggling again after looking at the demon and stopped when he pulled her up closer to him. "Girl, you might want to stop that because right now you're making my cock twitch." He whispered in her ear, Kagome never heard such before and so she felt her face turn hot.
She stopped moving as they rode onward, and as they rode Kagome was thinking of a way to run off so they wouldn't rape and kill her. Finally making it to their destination, Kagome saw demons everywhere and with alot of human girls and women. Her heart sped up as she as one woman stripped naked and held down as some demons had their way with her. Kagome looked down at the arm of her captor and felt her eyes tear up. 'Gods, please don't let me die. please save me.' Kagome prayed in her head as they stopped.
She felt the demon behind her get off the horse and then pick her up and carried her into a tent. She saw no one else in the tent and looked down at the bed he placed her on. Kagome watched him as he took off his armor and boots and his first layer of his kimono off and looked at her as he pulled his hair back. Kagome licked her lips and waited for death to come, instead she felt the demon grab her by her waist and laid her down beside him.
She now felt like she couldn't breathe, she was waiting for him to slit her throat any minute now. "Calm down, I'm not going to do anything to you. Rest. I have more honor then what you're thinking of right now." He mumbled out. His voice was so deep it sent shivers down Kagome's spine and made he shake some. The demon let her go for a second and placed a blanket over themselves and grabbed her once more and laid his right leg over her legs.
Kagome swallowed her spit and closed her eyes. "What is your name, girl?" The demon asked her in a calm tone. She wasn't sure what made her tell him her name, "it's Kagome." She felt his breath on her neck and felt his chest vibrate when he spoke, "I am Sesshomaru. Now Kagome, I make you a promise now so I want you to promise me too understand. You will not run off, and if you do I will rip you apart." Kagome nodded and tensed up. "Now" Sesshomaru continued on, "I will protect you, feed and clothe you, I will be with you when you bathe and if I need a quick fuck you will be helping me. In return, I will treat you with respect, and you give you whatever you like." Kagome nodded and stared in front of her as she felt him move some and laid his head closer to hers. 'I'm going to die, I just know it, I'm gonna die.' Kagome told herself over and over as she somehow drifted to sleep.
