Aw. I should be freaked out by the last couple of scenes, and I kind of am, but I end up thinking about Miroku sitting in Inu's lap with his hair being played with. *grins* This may be my mind trying to protect itself, though, since the first and last scenes there scared the heck out of me. *nodnodnod* I think that Inuyasha should never let Miroku out of his lap ever again...and also, yes, they really should have asked about Naraku's death earlier. *shakes head*

Well, the end part of this chapter is.. rather dark, and strangely enough, rather satisfying. Now that Naraku is dead, we can get on to better things. I really like the image of Inuyasha wrapped around Miroku trying to comfort/calm him. I am very interested to see where you take us next.

    Oh. My. God.

Speechless here. That was just... well done and amazing and so many kinds of creepy that I don't even know how to tell you. Good god. Wow. Yikes. The ronin _killed_ him. Wow. And I didn't see it coming even a little bit. And now I don't even know that the ronin would be the lesser of two evils here because at least Naruku had _other priorities_, man. Wow. Beautiful, beautiful work.

I am sorry I have taken so long to get to this, but it was so well worth the time!! You have the most amazingly brilliant warp to your brain, and I beg you... BEG YOU ... never ever stop sharing it!! I am about half way through now, and enter Kouga. Miroku's blush is absolutely adorable. And Sesshoumaru's comments about InuYasha pulling his vocabulary out of his ass... GODS so appropriate!! Thank you for once again sharing your genius with us all!!

WOW...I wasn't much of a inu/mir fan but this story is so original and well written I will be sure to read others. Just wondering what happened to Kagura after she got her heart back from Naraku, does she hook up with sesshy?

I really really shouldn't like watching Miroku get flustered as much as I do, but you do it so well that I can't help it. It's nice to see him feeling better, and wonderful to see everyone taking care of him in their own way. Great chapters!

Wow. With as dark as parts of the story had become, I was glad to see such a sweet chapter. I love that Miroku seems to be trying to come to grips not only with the pain, buth is own feelings for this InuYasha. I also think the way you have portrayed Shippo is great. I can see him trying to be brave for Miroku, despite all he's been through. Personally, I'd like to see both of them be able to laugh again. So nice. Well done.

Ah, loopholes - looks like I might not have to log in all the time after all. ;)

On a more relevant topic, these chapters made me smile. Inuyasha might not have made everything better yet but he's definitely moving in that direction. Miroku and Shippou were so sweet together and I thought Kouga's face-off with Inuyasha over their mates was lovely to watch. You can really see how much more suspicious they've all had to become. Hats, mittens, and boots are all off to you! :D

I have to say that I'm really growing attached to the version of Inuyasha you're creating in this story. I was already impressed by how you handled his youkai, but the way that he's dealing with Miroku's problems while still being himself is just blowing me away. Actually, I feel pretty much the same way about _all_ the alternate versions, though Inuyasha, Sesshoumaru, and Shippou are definitely the standouts. (Ronin Miroku stands out too, but for an entirely different reason. Yes. Scary man.)

Anyway, I'm just completely in awe of how you're writing this - it's the best non-AU AU that I've ever read, and I become more of a Miroku fan with every chapter. :)

Ah, happier times, thanks. BTW, Why isn't my Sesshomaru getting some adult activities? Hell, everyone is getting some but Sessh. Also I like this Sessh. Even though he is OOC, great job.

Eeeee! Two chapters at once! *dead from glee* Inuyasha is just being so sweet here in his own bizarre way, and I love that teasing Miroku is becoming a communal hobby. Other loves: the conversation with Shippou was sweet and sad both at once, the scene outside was hilarious, and Inuyasha comforting Miroku just made me want to curl up and sigh. Wonderful!

“Oh hell yeah. Pulled an Inuyasha and took that right out of my ass.”

That was the funniest line in the whole chapter, I swear it. I laughed aloud and my roommate gave me the strangest look in the world.

It is your way of writing humor and Miroku that keeps me coming back time and time again for more. Update when you can!
