You keep getting better and better, which makes it hard to wait between each chapter. Are you going to be able to finish within NaNoMo or will you keep going, I can't see how you will be able to be done in the next couple of days and I want more (lots more) but I also want to see the rest of your stories continued as well.

As for guessing whats happening, didn't the temple grab inuyasha because of the light inside of him(so much more than theirs)? does this mean that he is a reincarnation (combination) of the three of peace. (I mean there are 4 of him but still). or at least the planets way of balancing the scales, if there is evil there must be good? He is Hanyou, demon and human so why not Seraph as well.

I loved the argument over the clothes and the sly way inu won. quick question "Yasha was sticked" did you mean that or possibly stricken or sickened?

I can't wait to "see" the others faces when/if Inuyasha changes before them, or are you going to keep that a shesh moment only?

Chapter 16: I love the comic relief that you insert into such a serious fic. It keeps the story from becoming too dark to bear. Sesshoumaru's teasing of Inuyasha and the subsequent argument between the aspects was very humorous. I have to wonder if Inu wasn't manipulating Pup and Yasha. And, I hope Inu gets a chance to meet Sesshoumaru without the other aspects.

It is so sweet of Inuyasha to watch over Kagura (and the rest of the healers), and fitting. I'm glad Sesshoumaru allowed it. BTW, in the first sentence, great impact with '--what was left of him.' Loved that! I'm glad that the Seraphim are willing to help. Kagura deserves to be healed and Manten...that was some severe punishment. Wow. I wonder if we'll see him again. If he was in Sesshomaru's court, he couldn't have been that bad. I hope Sesshoumaru didn't lose a great asset in losing him.

Oh, I can completely empathize with Inuyasha's behavior--doing exactly what he is told and not taking initiative. He will have to learn that he has the power to make his own decisions. The only problem is learning how to make them. He's used to being told exactly what to do without questioning. I'm sure he doesn't have a clue where to even begin weighing options. It's going to be a long hard road back to a semblance of normalcy. I wonder if his attachment to Sesshoumaru is partially a result of his feeling lost. Perhaps it is also why he doesn't say anything about sleeping in Sesshoumaru's bed. He's doing what he's told and doesn't know that there are other options to be had anyway. So, there are two reasons to accept it without questioning. With his exceptional sense of smell and natural wariness/alertness, I can't believe that he wouldn't know that he is sleeping in Sesshoumaru's bed and that Sesshoumaru is there every night.

It is sweet that Inuyasha is leaning toward Sesshoumaru, but Sesshoumaru needs to make sure that Inuyasha learns to stand on his own rather than become co-dependent. Otherwise, Inuyasha will be lost without him. Heh, the clothing incident is a positive sign. ^_^ I like that Sesshoumaru is taking it slow as well.

Oooh, loved your portrayal of Kouga! I didn't expect him to be there and he had his normal irreverent and cocky attitude. Huh, you made him a Seraphim. That's difficult to imagine, but I'm sure you'll help us out next chapter. Maybe we can learn more about the Seraphim in the next chapter?

Oooh, will the Seraphim know anything about how Inuyasha came to exist? I mean, how could he have just popped into being out of thin air? I can't wait to see what will happen with that. I hope he is some magically created being!

From what Kouga said, it sounds like the mass came from the collar and went into Manten. I was actually wondering if that would happen when the collar was destroyed, but I couldn't find any indications--and I did look! ^_^ Great plotting!

Very nice chapter! I'm trying really, really hard to make my beta side STFU. LOL

Chapter 15: This was a well-balanced chapter. Thanks for putting in more of Sesshoumaru's POV because we really did need a better understanding of his actions. I'm so glad that Inuyasha wasn't horrified by Sesshoumaru's treatment, but that he liked it. That was a relief. It will help make Sesshoumaru's chosen course easier.

I did like the specifics of the scent markings. Did you know that humans have the same capacity to recognize scent, we merely do not develop it? I also like the way the marking methods left open social avenues that are not socially accepted in many countries. I'm a rebel against modern moral puritanism. Heheh.

Thanks for the juicy action and for not leaving us on a horrifying cliff-hanger! I'm such an action whore and I lurve you. ^_^ I like Kagura and I hope she can be put together again. I think you did good by having her be the one to protect Inuyasha. Good job!

Your description of Inuyasha's behavior-always being on guard-helped us to get to know him better, and I know exactly what it's like to be constantly on guard for danger. It's a habit that is almost impossible to break and can cause a lot of anxiety and feelings of impending doom because it is exhausting. It should come in real handy for the kingdom, but I hope he can learn to balance it.

I'm very interested in learning what that thing, the Mass, was and how it got to be inside of Manten. I figured that he would turn out to be mostly innocent, but I'm glad you left him a bit culpable for his crimes. I do hope he survives. Maybe he can shed some light on what happened.

Caitriona is shaming me. It has been a very long time since I put the effort into constructive critiques. I'll try to do better. Because of nano, I won't mention punctuation on this story. ^_^ You didn't have any plot holes! However, sometimes it helps to just have someone around to bounce stuff off of, so you can think your way through something you want to accomplish. ^_^

    Chapter 16

There were a few really lovely points in this piece. Inuyasha's aspects arguing over what he was going to wear, Sess's desire to touch and lick the hanyou, and Inuyasha's silent vigil over Kagura were only a few of them. I believe that we're going to perhaps see a moment of Inu in the next chapter if his 'sad' comments are to be believed. I enjoyed the slow movements towards one another that the two Shiro Inu are dancing. I wonder if Sess is just waiting on Inuyasha to finally breach the distance himself?

I'm glad that you didn't leave Inuyasha's years of obeying commands by the wayside (i.e. his staying in a room until commanded or not initiating a conversation). Having him leave those mannerisms behind would seem far too quick. I wonder if he will have any moments of PTSD while he is under Sess's care. It doesn't seem like it, but nothing is out of the realm of ordinary here. Perhaps if/when Kouga brings up mention of the collar it might bring things to light that shouldn't have been remembered.

I enjoyed your brief discussion on the differences between Seraphim and Demon healing techniques. I'm glad you gave Manten an ending that wasn't just death. If that were the case, it would almost seem like Inuyasha caused it. This way, it was completely because he gave himself over to darkness. Just rewards. It's just sad that Kagura was harmed. (but then better kagura than inu)

On a side comment, I wonder if/when Inuyasha will start asking questions about Sess's behavior and I wonder who he will ask. Kagura (who perhaps has a history with the cold lord) or Jinenji most likely. That would be a hoot!

Thanks for sharing with us. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving (if you live in a country that celebrates it, that is)

You review hog (ha, ha... I'm just kidding). I thoroughly enjoyed the portion of this chapter where the different aspects verbally fought over what to wear. I was also hoping for the more subdued white outfit once you mentioned it. Yeah! Inu (human aspect) keep winning the clothing choices it seems you're the one with developed tastes. So... the seraphim's are involved and the stories pointing towards the Jewel of Four Souls a.k.a. "Shikon Jewel". I'm all for leveling the temple and wiping out the corrupt priests and priestess. Get some rest and when time permits update please.

Oh, suddenly there are two suitors out for Inu, well, at least one suitor and one hopeful admirer. Great chapter, I like how Inu is starting to respond to Sesshomaru's actions, and is starting to fall for his affection though he doesn't seem to full comprehend that yet. I can't wait for the next chapter. One thing I wonder though: will Inuyasha's long time of captivity, alongside his sexual experience, leave him with any sort of complications, such as needing to be taken a certain way, such as roughly or while restrained? Just wondering (hehe).

I can see why you needed an opening for the Seraphim and also a way to establish the relationship between Kouga and Sesshomaru. You also needed to clarify and show the relationship between Inu, Yasha and pup I gotta admit I love how Inu manipulated the situation typical oldest and how the other two gave in to him nicely done chapter good job can't wait for the next update.

Chapter 14: I was thrilled with Sesshoumaru's possessiveness and with his self-control. It was good to learn that he plans to court Inuyasha and not just take him. His attentiveness to Inuyasha is unexpected and very nice.

Aw, poor Inuyasha is so overwhelmed! I'm glad that Inuyasha accepted Sesshoumaru's kiss. It would have been bad if he had equated it with the way he had been treated before. Poor guy is so confused! ^_^ It was sad that he didn't believe that he wasn't a slave anymore, but it was understandable.

Jinenji was so sweet in asking Inu to be his brother. It was so cute. I guess he got a bit overwhelmed as well. I'm also glad that he understood Sesshoumaru's actions. He also seems to have discovered something very mysterious about Inuyasha. I hope we find out what it is soon! I'm so excited!

I have to say that I'm worried about the demon king, especially when they find out exactly what Inuyasha is. I have a feeling that he's more than just a human/inu hanyou. ^_^

    Nice chapter!

I loved the section at the beginning on Inuyasha's sense of smell and how it had developed far above the norm for his kind because he was not allowed to use his eyes. I like that explination far better than some kind of "he's special" that you could have done. Excellent excellent job. It was looking at Sess's world through a different kind of eyes. I liked it very much.

I also liked the second where you were talking about the different kinds of scent marking. It is an interesting and unique idea. Creatures that use pheromones to attract mates have been known to be able to distinguish different kinds and types of scents from far far away, so I really like that you added this idea in.

I had wondered what would happen to Manten, and I thought that you would discuss it soon, but I didn't really expect it to be on Inu's first day out. I like it because it has allowed Inuyasha's abilities to shine over the whole court and show off just what Sess has gotten. I am rather intrigued, though, about what this darkness is and what is going on with it and why. Is it something that has been inside him for a long time or something new that came on since the breaking of the collar? Is it a part of the collar that wasn't completely destroyed - only laying in wait?

Finally, poor Kagura. I love her as a character in the manga. Her fierce loyalty... wow. I do hope that she is able to be helped. (I'm also glad that you didn't stop the chapter at the blood section)

Thanks for writing for us. I'm gonna go back and re-read this so far. I sometimes miss things that might be important later!

    Chapter 14

    SQUEEEE!

I don't know why I love more in this chapter, the unsure, yet hoping Inuyasha or the quietly emotional Jinenji. I just want to hug them both to unconsciousness.

Inuyasha's quiet question made me smile a little. He wants to believe Sess so badly, but he just can't let go of that last few moments of distrust. I'm glad Jinenji was so forthcoming with him. And then when the horse hanyou glomped him. Well I giggled pretty good with that one too. I can just imagine Inuyasha all but begging Jinenji to stop crying and let him down!

I also enjoyed Inu's 'punishment' and 'reward. Fun fun stuff. I like that he didn't associate it with the 'kisses' of the priestesses at the Temple. That would have sucked and would have taken a lot of get over for the poor Hanyou.

I wonder if they will discover who Inuyasha's biological family was or if it will really matter in the end.

Thanks for writing this chapter for me/us! Squeee
