Kagome looked into the mirror, and sighed. She was too laid
back about Shippo's actions, let him do as he would. Whenever Inuyasha
tried to hit him, she'd slam the half demon to the ground. But was this
the right way to raise a kid? Shippo was starting to taunt Inuyasha just
to see him get 'oswari'ed.
Her reflection looked sad at herself. She was no mother, no role model.
Her one charge was becoming a brat, and she had no idea what to do.
Walking out of the bathroom, she headed to the kitchen and saw her mother.
Maybe a real mother would have the answer.
"Mom?"
She stopped cleaning the dishes, and said, "What is it, honey?"
Kagome said, "What should you do when a kid becomes too much of a brat?"
Her mother put a hand on her chin, then slowly said, "Well, there is
the spanking method. Remember when you were a small child?"
Kagome shuddered. She still had nightmares about back then. It had seemed
as if any action she did caused her mother to grab her and beat her until
she cried.
Cautious, she said, "Isn't that a little...harsh?"
Sighing, her mother put a hand on her daughter's shoulder. "Look, I
didn't like it much either. But I had to do it. Otherwise, you'd act like
a self centered girl, and Souta would have become a prankster. Try it,
and see how it works."

Kagome watched Shippo, and sighed. She seemed to be doing that alot
these days. But she just didn't know if she could be stern enough with
the only kid she had to take care of.
Shippo was eating a chocolate bar happily. His smile looked so serene...and
then a scream filled the air. Inuyasha walked up to him with anger.
The hanyou screamed, "WHAT DID YOU DO?!"
Trying to hold back laughter, and failing, Shippo said, "Oh, just a
rumor here and an illusion there. You should be glad, now I've gotten you
popular with girls!"
Fuming, Inuyasha said, "You SLANDERED me. I don't randomly kiss every
girl who looks nice with my fucking TOUNGE!!"
Oh dear. Well, Inuyasha looked ready to kill Shippo, and Kagome didn't
blame him. But...this was a woman's job.
"Shippo, that was just cruel. What if he'd broken one of those innocent
villager's hearts?"
Shippo smirked, "Then you would have broken his bones! That would have
been good to watch."
Great, she'd raised a total brat...but no more. "Get over here, Shippo.
We need to talk. Privately."
Inuyasha would have complained, but when he saw the glare she aimed
at Shippo, he shivered. Was she that scary looking? Good, Shippo needed
to realize there would be no more of this bratish behavior.
Shippo walked to her, and she gestured Inuyasha to leave. He didn't
question, he just 'did'.
Looking down at Shippo, she said, "Am I too 'soft' on you?"
Shippo was confused. "Huh?"
"I give you candy, protect you from danger, and have let you do what
you wanted. Yet you do cruel things to Inuyasha just to watch me make his
body slam into the ground. That is like you threw mud in my face."
Shippo looked apauled at the idea. "How?"
"You take advantage of my kindness. Starting now, whenever you disbehave,
I'll give you a spanking. If you don't come to get the spanking, you won't
get any food that day."
Shippo looked curious. "What is a 'spanking'?"
Sighing again, trying not to hate herself, Kagome said, "Drop your pants,
and get your belly over my knee. NOW!!"
Her tone clearly scared Shippo, and he quickly did as she said. Placing
her right hand on his bare rear, she tried not to think badly of herself.
Every parent had to disapline their kids every once in a while.
Her hand then came down hard on his butt, and he yelped in shock. Not
giving herself time to feel sorry, she firmly hit it again and again. Her
heart felt a pang every time he yelped. His butt slowly became red, and
tears built in his eyes. The fact that she was causing this pain to him
made tears build in her own eyes.
When his voice sounded horse from screaming in pain, and her hand felt
tired from hitting him repeatedly, she stopped.
Shippo looked up at her eyes, and Kagome saw the tears streak down his
face. He then muttered, "Kagome?"
She whispered shakily, "Yes?"
He then swung his claw at her face, and blue fire struck her left cheek.
She screamed, and he ran away. Holding the light burn, she broke out in
tears. Shippo...

It had been a week since the 'spank' incident. Shippo had taken a liking
to pulling pranks on Kagome. And every time Kagome told him to get in the
position, he hit her with fire and ran. She tried depraving of food, but
he always seemed to steal half hers. This entire affair was getting insane.
Kagome looked in a lake and saw her reflection. It had three burns that
slanted down, one on each cheek, and one on her forhead. Was this the cost
of being harsh to Shippo? He seemed to hold no respect for her anymore.
Inuyasha walked up to her, looking down. He then said, "My mom tried
something different to get me to behave. Maybe that will work on Shippo."
Kagome snorted, "Why do you care?"
"You seem...sad that Shippo isn't acting right. So, I'll help to make
you less sad."
Kagome smiled at the gesture. "Okay, what did she do?"
"She wrestled with me, showed me who was in charge with force. Trying
to starve him to submission will just make him become more self-sufficent.
That spanking thing is close, but it depends partly on his surrendering
to you. You need to show him who's in charge in a rough, violent fight.
I think...it's for the best."
Kagome looked to the ground, thinking. "When your mother did this, did
you hate her for it?"
"At first. I then hated myself for acting like a brat to her."

Kagome looked at Shippo and had conflicted emotions. Part of her was
cautious with Inuyasha's idea of 'disapline'. It probably hurt his mother
to have to FIGHT him to get him to behave. The other wanted to hurt the
brat seriously for the hell in the past week. At the very least, to the
point of him crying from pain again. Kagome tried to block that part out,
but it excited her to a degree. Why, she didn't even want to know.
Shippo glared at her, and said snidely, "What, are you going to try
again with the spanking? I thought you were smart!"
Kagome looked at him with a smile that scared herself, and jumped him.
The two rolled around in a chaotic battle. Kagome would punch the small
boy, and he would scratch and bite at her randomly. Both made pained yelps,
and it seemed like an even battle...until Shippo aimed for his adopted
mother's breasts.
Kagome screamed in agony as his claws dug through the fabric of her
shirt and bra, making her bleed lightly on his hands. Desprite, she grabbed
a hold of Shippo's tail and hair, and pulled them in opposite directions.
Shippo's death grip on her breasts ended, and he started to wail from the
pain of two sensitive parts of him being nearly torn from his body.
Kagome yelled, "GIVE UP?!"
He nodded, and she let go. Shippo held his tail protectively, whimpering.
Kagome whispered, "You wouldn't listen to me. I tried to be nice, but..."
She then started to cry, and held her injured breasts. "I didn't want
to hurt you, damnit. But you need something to stop you from becoming a
selfish brat like the Thunder Brothers!"
Shippo looked up sharply, and sobbed out, "I'd never become like them!"
Kagome muttered, "They were care-free, and only cared for their own
amusment. You made Inuyasha mad just to watch him get punished. And when
I disaplined you, you lashed out at me...what would you have me do?"
Shippo's tears went down his face, and he hugged Kagome. Shippo lightly
muttered, "I'm sorry...mother."
Kagome smiled, and whiped his tears off. "I know...son. As long as your
a good boy, and listen to me, we won't ever have to fight again."
Shippo looked at the mauled breasts, and licked the wounds he caused.
Shivers entered Kagome's body. Her wounds were healing, and it felt so
good to be licked in the breast...but this was supposed to be her adopted
son! She couldn't think of him like that!
Shippo stopped, and whispered, "If I do anything wrong, just grab me
by the tail and say what I did wrong...my birth mom used to do that."
